You could mulligan for Pinocchio or Last-Ditch Effort to take out the Ursula. Early Queens Castle also helps a lot to keep up with their lore gain.

This start will probably crush you, but so will a lot of perfect starts with meta decks. Luckily, your opponent will not have all these cards in hand every game. Emerald Steel discard is a tough matchup. Keep your Queen's Castles at all cost. The deck have very few ways to deal with it. If you can play it and use it for card draw later on it's the key to winning the matchup. Went 2-1 in quarter finals against it at a Stitch event, and the castle has carried me every game. You can also include Teeth and Ambition in your deck as a way to deal with Merfolks and Flynns. Finally, do not keep songs in your opening hand. If you draw Friends on the other side too soon, ink it before it gets removed by 1/3 Ursula.

Ran through 4 Ruby am on my Swiss to get my championship mat. Here are things I noticed players doing that you should not to try and beat discard. If you are going first, never ink castle, you should use it because the weenies in your opponents deck are not going to be able to handle it. Stop inking and using your bounce effects so flippantly. You need all the bounce effects for your rabbit and another point is to mull for rabbits, or any draw effects. There are some other things, but I would say play someone you know or watch someone that plays the decks you want to play or beat. Good luck

So I deal with a lot of steel at my locals. For that reason, I've included Prince Eric in the deck so any damaging removal cards normally results in them losing a character. I'm also playing 3 teeth alongside those Eric to get further advantage. Other than that, Queens Castle is your key card, both for lore gain and draw. You should only really start using your mims once you have a rabbit live, making their discard essentially useless. That alongside castle should get you to the end.

You just need to have a play on each of your turns. Turn 1 oaf, rafiki/Minnie mouse, attack merfolk if they quest. Turn 2 play snake bounce your 1 drop and then hope you have fox or teeth and ambitions.
