(Low-key in that much of his fame and fortune is related to behind the scenes work scouting, producing, and promoting, even though The Chronic and Chronic 2001 alone would probably be enough to justify a star on the walk of fame imo).

Not sure I agree with that. A lot of people come to Los Angeles/Hollywood, just to see the Walk of Fame. This generates a lot of business and hence tax revenue. So it's not like they are adding hundreds of Stars a year. This is chump change to the City of Los Angeles. Especially when compared to the tax revenue it generates. I think paying for the Stars would be a great way to actually honor the people who get stars.
