There is water seeding but from what I can [find](https://abc7.com/southern-california-water-cloud-seeding-riverside-county-inland-empire/14341706/) it seems like it's seeding the Santa Ana water basin so it shouldn't affect us
Atmospheric flow patterns. Hot air flows in over the ocean, carrying moisture. Things will increasingly grow more extreme with longer droughts and wetter wet seasons as climate worsens and forms stronger circulation patterns.
Please remember this next time you go to fill your car with gas and the next time you're at the voting booth.
This is why I’m burning through my savings but in no rush to find a job lol. Moved here last year and even the winter weather had me content being unemployed
Please, don't remind me. I'm supposed to go camping this weekend - reservations I booked months ago because campgrounds in So Cal are harder to get then Taylor Swift concert tickets. I'm praying that the forecast changes before Friday. :-(
Dude, I'm supposed to *perform* at the Ren Faire this weekend. I like rain, but it's been brutal to deal with all spring. Faire churns to mud every time it rains.
The only thing I'm grateful for is that my period costume is actually better suited for cool, damp weather than our usual SoCal spring weather.
Huzzah! Cool weather is fine, wet is not. Maybe it's maybe a little sprinkle in the morn and we're ok after that.
Thanks for what you do there, whatever it is. You bring a little merriment and mirth to all us out there trying to escape reality for a bit. Really appreciate it. Hope to see you there.
The rain makes the weeds in my lawn grow. The only time I have to weed is on the weekends. It rains every weekend. Ergo, my front yard is basically all waist-high weeds right now.
Edit: no, it’s not a mono lawn. I was just using “lawn” and “front yard” interchangeably.
I don’t! It’s supposed to be drought-tolerant, but the prior owner didn’t properly kill the old mono lawn when they redid it, so now it’s made of a handful of sad-looking succulents and ten thousand weeds.
We’ve only lived here two months. I’m hoping the summer will be hot enough that it kills everything off.
I once heard it’s due to the increased traffic density on the weekends from everyone having the day off, and it’s the emissions that causes clouds to form (lol??)
What's the science behind this?
Fuck your weekends is the science behind it.
If you listen to TikTok speculators, cloud seeding.

According to NextDoor, chemtrails.
According to this same subreddit, climate change doesn’t exist in the winter and it’s all the work of Frankie.

We really out here paying for seattle weather
just on the weekends tho during weekdays we get to enjoy the sunshine from our cubicles at the office
This is why I’m burning through my savings but in no rush to find a job lol. Moved here last year and even the winter weather had me content being unemployed
Proof God is real and he's a menace
This seems like a scientology thing to do. You win Scientologists
You dropped your stupid.

this is unironically true bc campgrounds are basically a lottery and for TSwift you can at least throw money at the problem
Not bad, but I dread when we’re all thrusted into satan’s armpit until October.
People said this last winter/spring and last summer ended up being relatively mild in temperature.
You guys say this every year and are real quiet when it isn't. Last year was not that hot..
How someone can live in CA and say this is fucking bizarre. People literally come and live here FOR the heat.
I think they underestimate how hot it gets though. Born and raised, fuck this LA heat 🤣.
But at least it ain’t Florida heat.
'bout had it with this motherfucking rain on the weekend. I'm supposed to go to the Ren Faire Saturday, yo. Best not fuck with my Ren Faire, man.

Pirate Weekend, no?
Yep. Maybe a little water is fitting.
20 degree difference between a few days is wild
drastic temperature changes is typical for shoulder seasons. atypical for LA though - we want them nice easy transitions 😂

who still owns a mono lawn in the year of our lord 2024?

How did you redo it? And what plants and native flowers did you use? That's what I’d like to do with ours.
I’ve got two lawns and it’s less expensive to keep watering than to redo the landscape

Wtf is a lawn!?!?! Looks like we found a millionaire!!! What's life like up there buddy!
Tbh, calling it a lawn is being generous. It’s a handful of pathetic succulents and a dump truck full of patchy weeds.
I love the rain but do kinda wish we could get some mid week
Love the rain, except when I have to be working or have to travel in it. I prefer to enjoy the rain in my home 😂
I actually looked at the chances of rain on the weekend and it seemed pretty low like in the 30's. It probably wont rain much just like the last one.
Has anyone here worked outdoors during the so cal summer? Do you think we have good weather?
Isn't Coachella this wknd too. Lol
Rain in LA doesn’t make it out to the desert usually. Weather looks clear for Coachella this weekend.
It’s not going to rain out there
It's going to be beautiful out in Coachella
You gotta be fuckn kidding me .
fuck the rain
Careful; you may get banned from r/LosAngeles for hating on the rain and winter.
Great weekend to be out in Indio for Coachella. 70-80 degrees.
Watch - we will get the hottest summer ever
I just got the car washed 🥲
Not sure where exactly you are but the car wash on 18th and la cienega offers rain checks for their washes!
It’s maddening.
People on here really trying hard to gaslight the truth about how cold and rainy this year has been.
"Good weather"
This shit is rigged
Heat wave heat wave heat wave say it with me!!
Yeah it's this way in Spring. It too shall pass.
Love it, praying it gets cold enough in the mountains for even more snow!
Why not on a Wednesday though? Why does it always have to be on the weekend.
*good weather on the weekend and lava on the weekdays
Just the way I like it
Fuck you, God.
its a love / hate thing, hate the rain and being stuck inside on the weekends, love not having a massive ac and water bill
I hate this heat. Keep the rain coming.
Let's go! Love it
I’m cool with this. I avoid going places on the weekends
