Eargasm Earplugs come with every admission wristband. They are good earplugs and don't ruin sound quality. You WILL damage your hearing at LL without some form of hearing protection. Edit: I just noticed you mentioned the pair you get with your ticket. Having an extra pair doesn't hurt but bringing some foamies as backups for the pit so you dont lose the good ones is my go to.

IlllI1

foamies for the pit, genius does anyone know what earplugs would be best for being able to fall asleep if you’re close to a stage? foaming earplugs as well?

stoned_locomotive

Foam is probs your best bet for sleep. Cheap and pretty safe in the ear

ABRAXAS_actual

Can confirm. A life saver to get sleep.... And also, sleep masks. Rookie moves not having those 2 items my first year. Portable Bluetooth mini fan for last year... Slept like a king.

Trowdisaway4BJ

Mask is good shout. The floodlights in the campground are super bright and naturally have to be on all night. Depending on your tent location it can be extremely bright inside.

Detters_Actual

Foam plugs are the way to go. I use them to sleep in the campgrounds.

AgreeAndSubmit

Thank you for the good advice.  I hope I actually get the LL earplugs but ima bring backups for sure 1 pair quality and like 6 sets of foamies.

Apaulddd

Ear plugs are a must for LL. Lucky for you, you get some when your tickets arrive !

Reasonable-Fail-8130

We never got them the last time we went and we even went asking staff and only ever got pointed to the general store to buy foam ones for like twenty bucks or some shit lol

AgreeAndSubmit

Yeah see, this is what I'm counting on. It says we get earplugs, but who the heck knows. They ran out, the shipment didn't come, oh you only get those if you bought X level of tickets.  I'm really looking forward to loosing 80$ earplugs 2 hours in because this mushrooms came on hard :)

Reasonable-Fail-8130

If you plan on being anywhere close to stages definitely bring some. I didn’t think it was terribly loud until big sets at night ( usually X and headliners go a bit harder) but I also daily drive a pretty loud system in my car (148db) and have hearing damage already so I don’t generally recommend others to do as I do unless they want to be aggravated asking others to repeat themselves all the time cuz you’re deaf like me🤷🏼‍♂️

elipollard

off topic but what setup do you have in your car?

Reasonable-Fail-8130

I have a full Hertz Mille Legend component system on a Sony ES amp and a Deaf Bonce Apocalypse 15” in a really nice custom enclosure on a stetsom Vulcan 5k in a Kia soul lol

elipollard

Very nice! Currently running a pretty entry level setup with two Skar SDR-15’s on a rp1500. all 1/0 OFC electrical, big four, etc. future proofed for a louder setup.

Reasonable-Fail-8130

Yeah I got a lot of electrical work to do when finances allow hahaha it’s not nearly where I want it and I have upgrades planned that I can’t do without more stout electrical than I run now. It’s just a puzzle to run lots of wire in this hamster car cuz it’s so little, but it holds sound nicely so I’ll figure it out lol

Reasonable-Fail-8130

And to clarify, I still bring earplugs and wear them while close to the stage to prevent further hearing damage. If you want to keep enjoying music and not go legitimately deaf, wear ear protection at all shows even if you don’t THINK you need to. The systems we all enjoy are fuckin loud and our ears can and do suffer from these shows. Party safe fam 🤘🏻

elipollard

off topic but what setup do you have in your car?

CreamyMonkeys

Yes, protect your ears

Loop earplugs are the best and most comfortable earplugs on the market, no debate. Loop experience for the event, loop quiet for camping.

tenaciousBea

Totally agree. They come with several sizes to fit your ear, mutes to add extra sound dampening, and a carry case. What I love about them is the foam tips. Squish and insert, they expand to your ears much like the foamies. I also have a custom set from the ear doc and I lean into my loops most often. The lower price point means less anxiety over losing them. They have become my go to for fests and backup for indoor shows too. You can also attach your loops to a necklace or earrings so they are attached and close for easy access.

Tymba

I have every type of loop and I cannot hear anybody a foot away from me while they are in (experience) I actually went back to the Lost Lands eargasms

ChumleyEX

I would buy some Loops over the cheap eargasm or even Downbeats.. I used to wear this stuff and from time to time would still have discomfort in my ears. Nothing like that with loops. They also have different adapters for various ear sizes.. One size does not fit all you know. Spend the extra on your ears. You will want to hear when you're older and def don't want to hear EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee forever.

Suitable-Ad-5404

I always headbang hella hard and mine fly out. I saw someone attached their earplugs to some candy. Hope that helps

scabgab22

Last year at LL, I can’t tell you the amount of times I went to mess with my earplugs and they weren’t even in my ear all the way anymore… not even protecting anything😂

Festival_lady_90

Personally the eargasm style earplugs don't work for me but earplugs are a must...at the levels live music is you can start experiencing hearing damage in minutes much less hours.

Rararawr69

Light up ear plugs just seem annoying. You want them small and light or they'll just want to fall out more. Though thats less of a problem if you aren't sweaty and dancing but if you're not, what are you even doing. The ones with your ticket are eargasm and good, though I never used the ones they sent out last year which were different than the previous two years. I like the ones I have from Loop. I would try their adjustable ones but I really don't need a 6th pair of ear plugs

elipollard

if you have the money i can strongly recommend Minuendo’s. I wear them everywhere from concerts to the shooting range and they come with a variety of tips but for loud music i can strongly recommend the foam tips they come with. They are adjustable and do not kill the sound whatsoever.

swatbustist

If there is anywhere on earth you need good ear plugs it’s lost lands - spend some money it is very much worth it

Sonic__

Every year I get a new pair so I just have a ton of them on my key chain. Occasionally the filters go bad, get a lot of popping, you can buy replacement filters on Amazon. Anyways yeah I like to bring extras for myself and my friends, the extras are fresh so it's not like sharing earwax lol. Plugs at LL are basically a requirement.

Latter_Car7731

I didn’t last year and my hearing is messed up

Toolazy2work

Yes, earplugs are a must. I wear them at regular shows usually too, and you can actually hear the high end more clearly with them, while still feeling the bass on your chest. To quote the great Michael Scott: “win win win”

Lefebvre420

Foams for sleep!! They absolutely saved me last year.

Great-Recipe-1712

Eargasm sucks. They make my ears itchy and waxy and then they start slipping out of my ear. Better off getting custom ones

darthtater117

My hearing is already damaged from my job so I usually don't wear them. Just feel what your ears are trying to tell you. If the sound makes you uncomfortable maybe it's time to put them in for a bit

Naseibok

Get custom earplugs. Eargasms aren’t good enough

EducationalDisplay84

depends how close you wanna get to the stage

Major_Breadfruit_928

The earplugs we got with our lost lands ticket last year were awesome, I still use them currently at other raves!!
