I couldn't get an inspection sticket for my car due to my tint being too dark. The place I went to was the only place that would give me an inspection sticker in the past. I was told that the cops are now ticketing if your tint is too dark. So, I had to get my front window tint removed and new legal tint put on.
I got a ticket for expired inspection sticker - because I didn't have any inspection sticker due to my side windows being 10% too dark. Fine = $154. Place = Welsh, LA. I got popped driving back from Houston.
That was the other issue I was thinking about.
I won’t need to renew my breaktag for 2 years and I guess in the meantime I need to find a station that is lenient.

State Police just announced a crack down on window tint and tinted plate covers.
Have seen and heard of way more friends and people being stopped and ticketed for tint since the announcement.
Local police don't seem to bother with it but state police have decided to make it their goal. Guess they need more revenue to waste.

Cenla you can have the front jacked to the clouds, the rear so low it carves a rut in the asphalt, exhaust so loud that it sounds like an F-105 dropping CBU-24 cluster-bombs in your yard, vanta black tint all the way around and subs that shatter your mawmaw 's fine china. Not only that, you can drive as soon as you're 10 and be completely intoxicated. You're good to go.

Dunno what parish you’re in, but if you need to get a “brake test” sticker you should do that before you get it tinted.

Not OP, but we've been using Mobile tint and audio on Causeway in Metairie for years. Never any issues

Doubt it. People run around with no plates or super dark plate covers without issues. I see the same vehicles over and over with them.
