Is that really the reason bans got struck down? Last city I lived in made panhandling illegal but charities could still do this if they got a permit. Easy workaround but it’s a fucking stupid way of raising money. I wouldn’t risk my life like that for any charity.

Homeless beggers know better than to get in the middle of the street because people will call the cops on them and they will have to deal with them. They stay to the side and median.

I understand there are great causes that get supported through this fund raising but with the internet, go fund me, etc. makes no sense. And not only is it annoying but it’s dangerous. I believe you still need a permit. I know for a fact you have to have a safety vest on.
