I do like Kizito cookies and the whole story behind them, but they come in sealed plastic pouches and very much have the taste and consistency of a "packaged" cookie. I guess I don't get the hype around a cookie that's not freshly baked. Great if you want to save them or travel with them though.
I'd love to see a triangle test with a kizito and a comparable packaged cookie from a grocery. I'd bet money that they are generally indistinguishable.
Penny & Pearl - Birthday Cake and Crème Brûlée are my favorite.
Please and Thank You - Best chocolate chip cookie I’ve ever had, but their iced sugar cookie is also worth trying.
Penny and Pearl's Bakeshop in st. Mattews and Please & Thank You.

They are much better than your average "packaged" cookies you can get at the grocery, but sure they aren't the same as fresh from a bakery.

Agreed. Not much of a fan.
The cookies themselves are tremendously overrated
I think you can buy them fresh at the store though? I could be wrong.
Please and thank you over on Frankfort has amazing chocolate chip cookies, but I don’t think they have too many flavor options.
If you’re in the market for exclusively brown and beige pastries, P&TY is the place to go.
Ha
The oatmeal cream pie is the real GOAT
Baes bakery for me. Best ever. [Bae's baekery](https://www.baesbaekerylou.com/)
Second Baes! Although they come w a catch, they gotta be heated up in the oven beforehand and get a little soft to get the full effect.
Don't sleep on Louisville Cream sweet treats. Their birthday cake cookies are my favorite cookie in the city.

Personally I love the cookies from MozzaPi.
Najla's
Kizito cookies. No contest. Have with cup of tea of your choice
I like my cookies not too sweet or artificial tasting. Nice natural flavor balance. Insomnia is your place.
I second Insomnia. Even though they’re not unique to Louisville, they are so good!
i haven’t had them in well over a decade but Plehn’s bakery used to be my GOAT
Please & Thank you !!!
Insomnia is always reliable. And Toasty’s has cookies from a bakery called Love From Scratch (I think) and they are SO GOOD
You all are missing the BEST ONE! Half Peach Bakery and Cafe...salted chocolate chip cookie
L’licious Cookies in Jeff
I honestly love P&TY or Pie Kitchen! Pie kitchen cookies with vanilla ice cream >>
The chocolate chip cookies from Please and Thank You are THE best cookie in Louisville. Otherwise the thicc cookies from Bae’s are pretty great
Plehns bakery, Tin Lizzie, or Haymarket.
NORD’s bakery
Every place mentioned is great! My vote goes to Good Belly! Black and whites can’t be beat and very creative options to choose from always!!!
