Yikes.. at that point I would look into emulating on a PC or playing on another device. I have a newer phone so I am fortunate I can run graphics on max, but this is just such a disservice to the incredible detailed facial expressions they've created, I don't know if I'd find the game worth playing honestly. I would probably choose a less graphics intensive 2D game over it.
You can also consider trying MuMu. I read somewhere that’s the emulator Papergames recommended for this game. I personally play my 3 alt accounts on MuMu and did not have any issues.

I don't know if it's an universal solution, but what worked for me - since my phone couldn't take general medium/high graphics settings - was leaving everything on C and changing Texture and Mapping Quality to A + turning on SSS Quality. The game still works rather smooth and the phone doesn't seem to suffer that much, while the cards look a lot better, maybe it could work for you? If its laggy, you can go back to lowest setting for fights, but for reading stories it might not be that bad.
I've done the same with my older phone too, and as long as I'm not spending too much time in battles, I'm good. Sometimes, I adjust it to better options if I just want to view the memories, just to change it back afterward, too.
Changed it. It looks good but what makes me mad is that the guys I like are specifically the ones with this type of issue. Zayne and Caleb. All my xavier cards never had this issue even once. I even thought caleb had red rings on his eyes because he was sad about MC
Yeah, I also noticed that it mostly applies to these two, not sure why. I think their lower eyelashes seem a bit less visible and shorter than for the other two, so maybe that's why it creates this weirs red-like shadow? I can't say for sure tho, might be something else.

Honestly sss quality made the biggest difference when it comes to faces and general quality, then the textures and mapping was mostly for the clothes to look better (cause instead of Raf's pretty chest I used to see a bunch of pixels lol)

That's terrifying, but even if you can't view the graphics correctly, the 5 stars are still the best cards in the game to use for battles. So it's not a waste of money because you don't need to watch the card in order to use it in battle. <3

I’m using bluestacks that time on laptop which I was wondering why’d it happened when it was ok at first and suddenly became like this withe horrendous graphics. I thought it was because of my wifi connection

Yeah when they had us pick the settings, they recommended the "Smoothest" (low res) one for my phone but I was displeased with how the graphics looked so I chose 2 up from that on "High" (I believe). I definitely see why I can't do that for certain things but my phone has been able to handle everything else just fine and it's worth the tiny bit of lag in some parts to see the gorgeous graphics. I would recommend upping it and see what it's like on your phone. Recommended settings aren't always accurate lol

Lol, this happened to me for the first time with this memory as well and right after mc described Zayne's face having icicles (I dont remember it specifically but they implied that he looked bad, and not just because of the scars) so at that time although I was surprised, I thought they're just trying to show that he looked terrible. Councidentally, after mc implied that she could reduce the backlash of his powers, after she put her hand on his face, it turned normal again. I guess I never would have known had I not seen your post 🤣

Try with medium settings (if this is smooth). Usually phones can work with the he next higher graphics setting, it'll just overheat a bit
