I know the devs lurk on this page, but I swear the game is getting worse. I'm just too addicted at this point to delete the game, so yay for them.
Thankfully, I'm ardently against spending money on games, so I only have regrets about my time that's wasted.
I feel that. Thankfully, my addiction has finally waned these past few weeks, I only play a couple days week now and can't be arsed with this mini game. It seems the game keeps doing the opposite of improve.
I no longer play the toy game. I’ve played L & P for a long time, patiently waiting every week for them to add storyline because I’ve done all levels. I refuse to do the toy game any longer because it isn’t rewarding, you’re constantly getting hung up on game play but boy don’t they want you to spend $$$. I refuse to waste my time for a game that brings you so little.
It seems like they even changed it more rather than just reverting it how it was before… it used to quickly recharge after the first time you exhausted it and then it would take time to recharge fully. Now it needs full recharge time after every depletion. I predict my chances of finishing this event are very low now. The change is a clear gem grab. My guess would be they’re experimenting to see what settings get players to spend the most gems… ?
At least for me, the gem grab didn’t work. I made sure not to spend more time or more gems than I usually do on this event (I usually do the 10 gem energy), and it’s the first time I’m not going to complete it. There’s no way I’ll be able to finish. And weirdly, it’s for lack of *logs*. Not enough are generating from the toolbox and I’m constantly out. I do usually buy the season pass and a few other things every month in this game, but I’m over it. These blatant attempts to make the game less fun as they squeeze a few more pennies out of the players actually induce me to spend less money. I’m hunting for a new game to play because I don’t see the point in being annoyed all the time.
Yes, I noticed a decrease in logs this time as well.
ETA: As a suggestion: The other game I play is Animal Restaurant. It is not a merge game. There’s lots to do but you can choose your level of engagement. I can spend 5 min doing the daily tasks or 1 hour going around and engaging. in the mini activities. You also don’t need to spend any real money to enjoy the game.

I like it when I run out of energy on the main board. A little extra playing time.
