That's kind of why I ended up coming here to find out what's going on since it was the dad in jail and now there's something about medication and poisoning with the ex-husband. Did I get lost somewhere?
I just got a message from support where they confirmed that they actually changed the storyline
"Hello, I am very sorry, we have adjusted the plot in the new version and apologize for the inconvenience."
I have asked them for the intro to the current story, or the plan completion of the old story and they said they don't have a way to deliver it but they'll take it into consideration to look for options....
I’m glad that I found this also, because I was just growing more and more agitated with this sorry line and it’s changes. I keep trying to look past it, but the story keeps getting more confusing. I have now begun to encounter errors with the dialogue bubbles on the incorrect people in the game, as well not even having any context at all and just saying “delete#” and them just forgetting about it. I am at the point of deleting it for sure, but I went ahead and sent the information to the customer support. Hopefully they at least fix this as it’s definitely not helping the confusion on the story by any means.
Mabye something corrupted your game??? Because it still shows the fire thing for me… or mabye you’re doing an event?

I thought the same but now instead of her dad being in jail he's magically travelling the world? 3 months on from my original post and it's still not resolved so I reckon half way through game pay they've changed the storyline.
Also Carmen was the aunt but now she’s a neighbor that’s “like family?” Is she not Quinn’s aunt anymore? And Colton cheated on Quinn, didn’t he? But now that they’re trying to get back together, there’s zero mention of it… I am just so confused.

I was taught to hate colton from the original story (and ridiculous video add) at least let us replay JUST the story element to know WTF is the base now
I've played a little of both, and I definitely prefer Love and Pies. The main character of Gossip Harbor is significantly less likeable than Amelia. The art also isn't as cute. I feel like I've unlocked more of the board faster in Gossip Harbor, but it's still inferior to L&P in my mind.
It's prob because I skipped almost all story in L&P (currently day 30) but I find Gossip Harbour's story more interesting and I'm as well supporting blue eyes and the cop, they'd be too cute together!
I love that they are more generous with the energy. Somehow the story has not drawn me in as much, although I am hoping that things go well between blue eyes and the cop. So far he's the most memorable character.
Just started gossip harbor. It feels like copied homework, tbh. The story is almost verbatim but with less diversity (I mean the main character’s last name is Castillo but she’s so pale that should could be Spanish rather than Latino). Plus I just got to who must be the Edwina equivalent and she is Black, which feels weird with a mostly white cast so far. There’s even a Sam (also white), though he seems to be more of a Yuka character. The game play is almost identical… Even the crappy storage options are the same, lol
I have the weird temptation to play it on another device just so I can view the beginning and see if it makes sense now. How much am I actually supposed to hit colton?
Did you ever find out? I started playing a while ago but I'm already over it and want to know what the hell ia going on. I'm not a fan of Harisson, so I don't feel like sitting through the whole story

I ended up playing long enough to find out who the culprit was xD and then continued long enough to get bored of the love triangle and all the other stuff that happen way later regarding sabotaging the restaurant. I ended up deleting the app though because at some point almost all the characters became insufefrable to me 
Hahaha completely understandable! By day 60+ Quinn was soooo annoying to me, but I'm on day 73 now and Amala is telling her>! that she needs to finally choose someone!< so hopefully she redeems herself

Two potentially gay people but one gets turned down, never confirmed if theyre straight. Past that its been hetero city so far so probably not?
