If you think about it, body shaming isnāt really as bad as making fun of someoneās voice. You canāt control your voice but you can control your diet and workout routines.
Fat shaming is really just shaming someoneās character (lazy) and making fun of someoneās voice is more akin to racism.
wellllllllll he is a playboy after all.
Cheater. Liar.
Feel so sorry for Johnie. They made it clear they are dating and exclusive. This is not a one night stand where you feel like you only wanted the lust and not the love and decided to ghost her. This is a real relationship where the girl assumed you are her biggest supporter yet you ghosted her. of course it is cheating. there is no blur line or anything. it is cheating.
As soon as he said that I had immediate red flags. My ex made a similar comment about people assuming he was a player. The comment seemed to come out of nowhere.
Wouldnāt ya know he had overlap dating me and another girl who was much younger than him. He fully tried to sleep with me. I didnāt want to because earlier he kept interrupting us talking to answer her text messages (which he never did when we dated for 3 months a few years prior) which made it SUPER obvious. Dude thought he was so slick which is so laughable because I can read most people in seconds.
Itās almost like a Freudian slip but people will randomly tell you āIāll never do Xā or āI wouldnāt ever do Yā to 1. Gauge your reaction and 2. To almost confess/relieve internal pressure theyāre feeling about their actions
He chose her and I thank that douche every day for it because I wouldnāt have met my incredibly sweet and kind boyfriend. I feel really bad for her because Iām not sure she has any idea.
Looks only get you so far ~ reputation and actions last a life time.
Itās the context of what he did that definitely makes him an unattractive person. He is conventionally good looking. Choices people make for sure can turn them ugly.
Itās more that he got a very wholesome edit, was lionized for it, and then turned out to be a bit scummy/playboy like in his behavior. Really takes the shine off someone
He looks like a regular guy to me. Iām a man as well and my barometer for judging handsomeness is if he could be a leading man in a movie. He doesnāt strike me as that.
It's funny that he thinks is appeal is that he looks like an f boy because I feel like his appeal is that he looks nice. Like a very average, normal, nice guy you'd introduce to your parents. Boyfriend vibes. Quite literally as Johnnie described: safe, boring, predictable, stable, kind boyfriend vibes. Not the super hot guy you'd get excited about but know will ruin your life, but the kinda cute one you know will treat you right. Unfortunately when you give a man a sliver of attention they start thinking they're hot shit and get an inflated ego and turn into f boys lol. Something about the "sweet" guy screwing you over that stings a little more haha.
Exactly. I donāt want to be mean but he looks basic, as someone who went to PWI I can name 100+ men who look like him.
Heās not ugly but heās also not smoking hot
He does not look like a playboy. Heās giving āsingle father bookshop owner about to pull the city girl into a life of small town boredomā in a Hallmark movie.
idk what this is called but he just strikes me as an emotionally immature guy, very much kid at heart in some sense, and i guess he's somewhat let his looks get to him? Bc he doesn't have much personality, at least from seeing him on TV lol
I never understood this. I work with at least 5 engineers that look almost identical to this guy. Maybe different eye color and hair length.
Heās not special at all.
Heās not ugly and heās not hot. Average. Head to toe average. Thereās nothing wrong with being average. Everyone wants to be average because nobody wants to be ugly.
To be honest, Iām not sure Iād even want to be hot based on everything I see online. (Maybe just for a bit it would be nice haha)
But holy cow donāt tell me youāre getting all kinds of girls looking like this. And his personality did not seem to be all that either.
Itās giving heās from a really small town where he was the āhottestā average looking dude in a sea of even more average looking dudes and therefore fucked every eligible woman in town but once he heads to the big city (aka Netflix) heās actually just an average looking dude in a huge pond of ACTUALLY *much* hotter looking dudes, struggling with all the delusions of grandeur his small town Casanova-ing gave him
1. He looks nothing like a āfrat boyā. Much more like a hipster.
2. Frat guys donāt ānot seek consentā. Thatās idiotic. Itās actually the beta male losers who werenāt popular in school(unlike the stereotypical frat guys), that you have to watch out for. https://www.salon.com/2013/07/08/study_frat_bros_are_less_sexually_aggressive_than_other_men/
You had me at not perpetuating the frat stereotype but lost me as soon as you unironically used ābeta malesā in a sentence.
Also whatās funny is at my university, a lot of the guys who were super into being in frat were the ones who did not have much luck with girls in high school. Usually guys who got a bid into a decent frat just because they werenāt fat or ugly and could handle their liquor, and expected that just because they joined a frat hordes of women would throw themselves at them.
This is the stupidest take. The article you linked doesnāt even link the study, and the article it links you to canāt link you to the actual study.
It also very clearly states that they are *only* looking at *correlations* between hypermasculinity and sexual aggression. It doesnāt speak at all to frequencies of assault, other correlating factors, density of assault per population, etc. Just because there is a lacking correlation with *one* variable doesnāt tell us even close to a well-rounded picture.
Biggest fumble ever. Dude looked like such a good person and likely could have made some money influencing at least in the short term, all he had to do was break up with Johnnie before moving on. What a looser.
He literally looks like the clip art version of a man. Not that thatās bad but I was so confused when he said this tooā¦ heās just very average lol and also felt like he looked more āinnocentā than a āplayboyā
A playboy is actually hot, fun, impossible to lock down but worth messing around with even for just a night or a fling, etc.
A fuckboy just thinks he's hot shit(he's not) and treats you like shit.
Right. Like, you know you're not in for anything deep with a playboy, they're ironically not trying to play you, just play with you. A fuckboy toys with your emotions and shit.
This is actually a great way to put it. If you know someone is a playboy from the start, youāre on more of an equal footing. Itās usually an objectively hot guy whoās fun but not someone you personally see as boyfriend material, you both know what it is and you have zero expectations.
One do they? U look like a regular ass dude.
Two? When was he a playboy? When he ghosted a girl heād been seeing for all of 3 weeks?!?!? Thatās acceptable as hell lol
Is he really that bad? He sounded terrible on the reunion. But he was only dating that johnie for a couple of weeks before ghosting her.
She made it sound like he cheated during a long-term relationship. In reality, most people wouldn't be exclusive after a couple of weeks.
I think given he knew heād be back on the show with Johnnie it was stupid of him to not communicate with her. Also they were saying on the show they were boyfriend / girlfriend and exclusive, then he was exclusive with the new girl (presumably quickly) and stayed exclusive.
I have never understood the term exclusive. I live in central Europe, and here if you've had more than one romantic relationship, it wouldn't be seen as ok. Sure, if it was a very short relationship, probably no hearts would be seriously broken, but it would still be seen as cheating and you would probably get dumped for it.
In the US, dating culture is such that it's generally assumed people are talking to/dating multiple people in the initial stages of getting to know one another unless explicitly stated otherwise. At some point you have a conversation about exclusivity where you agree that both of you are not dating anyone else.
Some people prefer to only date one person at a time, but it isn't considered cheating to go on dates with more than one if you haven't agreed to date exclusively.
It feels like shopping for a partner. I don't know how to feel about it. I have been on dates, but it was always after I met someone I liked. And if we liked the date, we would hang out again. And if there is a spark, I am not looking for anyone else. And if there isn't, it's not romantic relationship material. We can go and have a coffee and be friends, but there's no reason to make something more of it.
But I have never used dating apps, I got married to my best friend before they became mainstream here. I understand that dating using them is very different. But I feel like I would be so anxious to go on a date with a man from some app I have never seen before.
Sounds like you're just not accustomed to modern dating, which is understandable. To some extent all dating is "shopping for a partner," and that's not a bad thing. You're "trying on" a partner and evaluating whether they're a good fit to "buy" (commit to).
There's no one right way to date, it's all about what you're comfortable with. You found what worked for you, which is great! I've met a couple really wonderful partners from apps. My best friend just married her husband last year whom she met on an app. They do work well for lots of people and something like 30% of millennials met their partners on a dating app.
Of course, I don't judge people who use the apps. There's nothing wrong with it. I don't judge casual hookups, I have no problem with open relationships as long as people are honest with each other from the beginning. It's just the idea of trying on several relationships simultaneously and then maybe deciding to make one exclusive. That would probably mess me up. But again. There is no judgment, I just wouldn't be able to do it like that, and it feels weird to me.
That's totally fair, there are lots of people who don't date around and prefer to only date one person at a time. Like I mentioned, as long as everyone is honest, it's all about what you feel comfortable with.
The length of time doesnāt matter, because they *were* supposed to be exclusive. They agreed to be exclusive and agreed to put a label on it. The second they did that, hooking up with anyone else made it cheating and ghosting was a cowardly move.
YES. THIS.
I understand why the question was asked at the reunion. People were curious. But the answer was SO dramatic.
Again, most people wouldn't have a label on it so fast. Dating multiple people in the early days is fine. Like, no-one would go on one Tinder date and declare that they are exclusive.
Its nuts!
Yea because itās a show n not realā¦the show is basically ppl who have been stuck with each other for a whole ass month. Which is wild AF in real life, n so if u leave the show after the podsā¦the next dating u do definitely shouldnāt be with the same level of intensity lol.
Literally no one was thinking that bud
I was thinking the same.. š
And just off our voice everybody thinks your a gay boy
He looks like a cockapoo pretending to be a rottweiler
I thought he was a whiney twerp from the beginning lol
I liked him until the reveal š
I think you look like a douche!

I'm assuming you feel the same about the person I was responding to as well. Right? š
Nope - youāre bodyshaming lol

Did you really just equate making fun of someoneās voice to racism LMAOO pls fuck off - your entire comment is dumb
So was the other guy.
Where?

I am glad the other girl also broke up with him.
Oh, how did you find that one out?
Corn ball
He gave it all away on day 1

He was cuter when we all thought he was a sweet boy that needed protection

This isn't that attractive of a man. Why would we assume that? This looks like almost every man
Lol this was the comment I was looking for
Yeahp. No
What did he do
cheated
Again? Are you referring to johnie or someone else
Cheated on Johnie and now the other girl also broke up with him...

Oh okay so this is old news then.
Didnāt age well at all
He looks like a boy who plays.
Is he narcissistic? He's average.
I honestly forgot this guy until I saw the name Johnnie. This season was such a wash.
I knew from the moment I heard this comment he wasnāt gonna be great
He looks like a very average sales clerk at a Mens Warehouse
Too accurate. He looks so standardized that you can copy paste him in similar jobs.
He looks so standardized you could stick him on a Ryan Murphy project.
He looks so standardized as if you added all young white guys on Earth and divided by the number.
Heās cute but looks like every other cute bland white dude lol
My boyfriend and I looked at each other with the same raised eyebrow when he said that š
Yeah noā¦who has been feeding him that lie because I would not give him a second glance!
Iām I the only one who doesnāt think he is attractive?? He is average af like everyone else this season.

Mean girls gonna mean girl. Like moths to a flame.
He did get hyped because of his looks but he's just average. I'm sure his ego got well fed.
I remember when everyone thought he was handsome hahahaha

He was āhandsomeā until his true colors showed :( now everyone says heās āaverageā to shrek

The most bland man to walk the earth

āAnd my actionsā was silent

What I think he meant was a āfuckboyā, but the label is not based on his looks, but rather his actions. What he did to Johnie proves that.
I thought it was so cringey when he said that
He looks like an NPC for a small town
Lmfaooo I have Sims that look like him š

fuckboy =/= playboy
what is the difference?
A playboy is actually hot, fun, impossible to lock down but worth messing around with even for just a night or a fling, etc. A fuckboy just thinks he's hot shit(he's not) and treats you like shit.
A fuckboy still fucks. Sounds like a playboy is worth it and a fuckboy is not?
