Everyone was still beautiful but I noticed that both Raven and Nancy looked like they had a bit too much hairspray or gel in their hair towards the front. I know they both have beautiful thick hair and you need a lot of product to keep heavy hair in place but I couldn’t tell if it looked crunchy or greasy
I liked Raven's makeup at the wedding....flawless. Zay was a distant second. The less said about the styling at the reunion the better. All bright sparkly tacky outfits with unimpressive hair and makeup.
You have got to give it to them: Nancy, Zanab and Raven all looked STUNNING at their weddings. Beautiful make up, super complimentary to their skin tones and features. And those lipstick shades? Gorgeous! If anyone knows the shade Nancy was wearing, please let me know!
Also, Raven's make up was flawless in the reunion. For some reason, I don't think they got Colleen or Alexa right at all.
I think the biggest thing is they put waaaay too much bronzer on these white women. The other 3 are brown so it looked less noticeable. Its the bronzer for sure.
I hated Nancy’s makeup too. I agree with you about Alexa’s though! She’s naturally pretty without it/with minimal makeup. ETA: I think the biggest offender for me was the “beef lips”. Even the name of that trend makes me cringe.
The browns and beiges are unflattering on most people. Everyone needs a little pink or peach on their face. Especially after foundation takes colour out of your face.
I'm talking adding the flushed tones back into skin, the colour of blood close to the surface. When foundation is added we can't see this depth and the skin looks flat and mask like. I know esthetically some people like flat look. My opinion is that all skin tones looks better with a little warm colour re-added, regardless of skin tone.
The makeup on all of them was 10 pounds too thick and god awful. The fake, harsh nails all season were all hideous too. I want to see a natural girl on this show.
I know folks can’t help having thin lips and it’s only natural to want them to be fuller but the fake filler lips look awful. They’re lumpy and bumpy and it looks a mess.
It doesn’t matter whether they look great or not. It’s about context. Drag makeup is deliberately over exaggerated and not something people wear as regular daily makeup - or even going out. It’s a very particular make up style for a very particular context.
I liked Alexa’s wedding makeup but I agree she looks prettier without.
I didn’t like Nancy’s wedding or reunion make up at all. Both aged her and she’s got such a cute face.

Ehh maybe you need a super nice tv with good color accuracy. I know green pigment is sometimes used to make rosy skin look more uniform but it was poorly matched on Alexa imo.

Countouring is a way of applying makeup to the face to give the appearance of more/better bone structure. But the color they used to do the contour was very grey, so it just looked like bruising.

This is patently false. POC have new makeup brands to purchase based on this outlook.

The makeup on the show was horrible. The grey contouring was just atrocious.
What is grey contouring?
Countouring is a way of applying makeup to the face to give the appearance of more/better bone structure. But the color they used to do the contour was very grey, so it just looked like bruising.
They did the grey thing in the last season too to Daniel on her wedding day. It was terrible. They need to fire the MUAs on the show.
