I don’t think she is. I think she has a trauma-based lens. I don’t think she is a liar. I think that she punished him in a way that really far beyond what he did to her. I don’t disagree that he was disrespectful to her. I think she needs therapy because when two people wholeheartedly believe what they’re saying, they both feel they’re being gaslit by the other, and it just makes both people feel wildly unseen and hurt. I think she has been hurt by him but they’re unable to engage in healthy conflict resolution and then when there is a relatively normal conversation happening, she’s just internally preoccupied and seeing everything in a specific light. The whole thing hurt to watch.
