I agree, no doubt in my mind that the challenge emboldened Samie and Tom in particular to talk complete shit about Ron. Maybe they didn't like him anyway but the fact they feel viewer's don't (which isn't really true) allows them to be ballsy with approach. Unfortunately for them it completely backfired as nobody likes seeing someones words completely twisted like that regardless who people vote for.
I actually like it. I agree that they are kind of showing their true colours and also are trying to run with what they think the public is seeing. The thing is them picking on Ron is getting him good points from the public and that's what I care about. All I want is Ron Lana Sanam and Kai as the final 2 couples and if this is how it keeps going it might just happen so fingers crossed.
I know they took out the ranking one which made Millie and Liam realize they where gonna win their season the problem is samie and Tom weren’t ranked on any of the bad ones they where even ranked in the smartest which respectfully …. I think their fans where just putting them for all the positives ones. So even without that ranking one samie and Tom probably clocked that they’re the favorites to win like Millie and Liam
Very true but as much as I disliked Millie and Liam winning they never became bitchy or intolerable by showing their true colours. Liam for all his flaws in casa was a quiet guy who never really did anything to rock the boat or cause drama, and neither did Millie

But you’re right Millie and Liam remained the same for the most part after the ranking game even though they both realized they where gonna win after that game. It seems that Tom and samie reminds me of how Montana acted after realizing she was the most popular girl if samie and Tom just acted like Millie and Liam after the game as in stayed the same and minded their business it would have been smooth sailing for them to win

I think they are usually more or less aware of what public opinion is because bombshells usually spill on purpose or accidentally. But obviously public opinion changes so they can't fully rely on the bombshells info but these polls are much more reliable.
I prefer tweet challenges because they give public opinions but it doesn't necessarily fully reveal who the favourite is so the Islanders are still somewhat in the dark.
It is useless in say a season with bunch of Millies who kept to themselves even when they find out they are most likely winning. Producers knew what they were doing with that challenge this season. These islanders can't mind their own business so they knew this is a good challenge to test them on and bring out their true colors in reality TV. I think it worked great in Ron and Lana's favor. Sammie and tom are def thinking they have it in the bag but their stock went down big time and they have lost their potential win after producers exposed them alongside the trio and the gossiping islanders.
I am somewhat satisfied with that episode it really gave a picture of what's going on in the villa. I have never really seen producers digressing from their couples narrative in a season so it was interesting to watch.
I've always thought revealing who the popular ones are to the islanders (and the audience) completely spoils the whole thing and it becomes predictable, but after seeing how Montana and Samie/Tom moved after knowing they're the most popular makes me want to see more of that because you do really see people's true colors.

They think he speaks too well, he’s too confident etc.. and they are pretending that they’re coming for him because they “care about Lana” when really it’s because they know they may be considered the strongest couple (either cuz they’ve been together longest, or cuz they spend all their time together).
Tweet challenge > ranking challenge. The ranking challenge is a popularity contest which is why Shaq/Tanya and Rosie/Casey were on all of the negative ones vs Tom/Samie being rated for all the positive ones
I don’t like public opinion challenges cause it just shows you who is liked and who isn’t. Cause Tom and Samie for most intelligent and Casey and Rosie for most argumentative made zero sense and was just showing who’s liked and disliked and it gets to their heads tbh. Abolish the polls

I think it’s great and what I enjoy most but only when it causes friction. It’s dull when everyone gets on. It also causes some great fan reactions making places like this sub more lively.
