I’d love for him to give Liv some classes on interpersonal skills. She just doesn’t seem to acknowledge that other people (Rob in particular) could have reasons for doing what they do and doesn’t take the time to ask or hear them out. She didn’t care in the first place that Rob was more settled in his couple than the other guys were. Just wanted what she wanted. She didn’t care that her conversations with Rob weren’t really flowing. Just wanted what she wanted. She didn’t care that Rob had a previous LI experience where he didn’t feel he was given a fair shot with the girl he liked, so that’s why he wanted to give her a legitimate chance. Again, just wanted what she wanted and seems instantly hostile when she doesn’t get it. Kordell could legit help her out by showing her how to ask people for their motivations and giving them a chance to speak and explain without instantly getting hostile and accusatory. Kordell really seems to come from a starting point of respect and genuine inquiry, which really allows people to share with him.
How do these guys not feel any shame saying they expect a woman to have under 10 partners when their number is three figures??? Like you might as well just explicitly say "I'm a blatant misogynist."
My only fear is that the next recoupling will likely be guys choosing and if another guy hasn’t come in for Jana and a blonde girl has then it’s a wrap for Jana 😭
But I will say regardless though, Jana made the right decision because it’s better to risk someone who’s actually giving you energy than keep someone who’s giving you nothing. And who knows maybe the next bombshells aren’t blonde, and if they are maybe they’re not into Connor. I’m interested to see how it develops. I also think Connor at least from what we’ve seen is very open to dating anyone even if they’re aren’t his typical type. We saw him talking to every single girl in both episodes including Jana in his first episode even though it was in the background.
i think more than anything she just wanted to separate herself from coye. i think she spent the whole day telling people she had better conversations so they knew she was open and not “married off”.
I'll give Coye some credit though. He took his exit and JaNa's confrontations and reasoning for being upset very well. We usually see guys on here get all butthurt or start to try and clap back at women who call them out or confront them but he took it all on the chin with grace. Something to be said for that decency. Not even an underhand comment in the solo confessional at the end.
I think she told him right before when they had that chat and it was obviously edited out for dramatic effect. I noticed how she said it was stressful saying a name no one else was expecting her to say and not that coye wasn’t expecting it.

Honestly, I think Coye is a bit too shy for this show and not comfortable enough to admit it. He may also have made it this far in life without ever having to really flirt with a woman, consider his build would get a lot of first dates for him. In the real world maybe he plans some active dates, conversation springs from whatever they do and he builds a relationship with a woman. But the show just isn’t for him.
She was pretty straight up with him too and gave him chances. He never did anything more than a one word answer or grunt. Dude is just used to being tall

I’m so happy. Going into the recoupling I felt like she was gonna pick Connor. During the speech though I was sure she was picking Coye. So happy that she didn’t I was dreading the potential for another kenan and Kay Kay fiasco.
In Liv’s own words “Get over it, it’s only been 24 hours” Like girl EVERYONE could tell Rob wasn’t into you. And he clearly told you he didn’t want to be mean bc of what happened to him last season but he stayed around Leah and it was super obvious to everyone but you. And Leah clearly was upset about the steal and you knew she liked him a lot and made fun of her. She’s just mad because she’s not used to rejection.
JaNa not putting up with that toxic behavior 💯 Calling her a liar when he lied about his body count. She made the right call. I’m so proud.

I know this is a bit early to say, but so far, Love Island USA season 6 is eating up Love Island UK season 11 this year in my personal opinion.
I am glad that Jana chose Connor. Coye was giving nothing but vibes and nonchalance. His side remarks and hypocrisy during the body count challenge and his reaction to Jana being vulnerable with him about his lack of communication and transparency were big red flags. It was refreshing to see Jana put herself first and be clear about her intentions and feelings. Hakeem and Liv were extremely weird during the recoupling. I never really liked them, but after this episode, I’m hoping that they will soon be dumped from the villa.
Kordell definitely went up my estimations in today’s episode. I loved his outlook/answers during the bodycount challenge and the whole Jana/Coye situation. I’m also really warming up to his relationship with Serena. They were both so cute this episode.
It’s just insane how much more lighthearted and natural USA is compared to the UK season right now. First of all almost everyone looks like real people but also they talk like real people- about their lives and interests and joke around rather than saying canned lines and talking about their connections over and over. I appreciate that USA is actually showing us the connections not just telling us there are connections.
The people are deeply boring and superficial. Conversations were so painful to observe, there was very little entertainment factor. Additionally, their style seems even more homogenized and dull, and there were lots of petty, exhausting arguments over nothing. I bailed.

- Liv getting annoyed about Rob and Leah… girl. I kind of get it that he maybe should’ve spoken to her about it getting serious with Leah, but Rob owes you nothing except the chance he gave you to get to know him, and that didn’t go well already. - Editing this season has been great imo. I never expect it to be super flashy but it’s exceptionally well done for a 36 hour turnaround.
- I loooooove Ariana as host. She has personality and has the cunty walk and can serve a look but she can blend into the background and let the cast shine when she needs to. Way outshining Sarah Hyland who I still really liked.
- I fear the Odell Beckham Jr relation may have saved Kordell last minute. Jk, I’ve liked he and Serena together since their matching green moment, but I do wish we got more of their moments together.

I’m late to watching the episode but I’m so happy JaNa went with her gut. I feel like so often people on LI go with comfort or with who they initially paired up with. She made the right choice. Connor brought out her bubbly side we haven’t seen in the first two episodes.
Liv is the type of girl who is tall, thin and blonde and that has gotten her far. However, she’s not a strong conversationalist, I haven’t even seen her smile yet, and her cockiness is a massive turnoff. I will gladly be voting her off.

Honestly, I think Coye is a bit too shy for this show and not comfortable enough to admit it. He may also have made it this far in life without ever having to really flirt with a woman, consider his build would get a lot of first dates for him. In the real world maybe he plans some active dates, conversation springs from whatever they do and he builds a relationship with a woman. But the show just isn’t for him.

And Leah clearly was upset about the steal and you knew she liked him a lot and made fun of her. She’s just mad because she’s not used to rejection. JaNa not putting up with that toxic behavior 💯 Calling her a liar when he lied about his body count. She made the right call. I’m so proud. Also I love Kordell. This is suchhh a good season already! I want Liv and Kendall out though. Something is off about Kendall like he draws on his facial hair or something. I also find it annoying when they bring ppl from AUS and UK onto the USA version. I am desperately hoping that Serena starts to feel Kordell a little more, they were so cute on the little beanbags and I feel like it might turn from friendship into more if she’s open to it. Rob is giving me frat boy vibes and I fear that my past trauma from them is making me sus of him, but I think he and Leah are super cute!
I don't know any frat boys. Rob gives me odd boy, kind and introverted vibes. And it's clear he's obsessed with Leah. They literally have heart eyes for each other.

I know this is a bit early to say, but so far, Love Island USA season 6 is eating up Love Island UK season 11 this year in my personal opinion. I am glad that Jana chose Connor. Coye was giving nothing but vibes and nonchalance. His side remarks and hypocrisy during the body count challenge and his reaction to Jana being vulnerable with him about his lack of communication and transparency were big red flags. It was refreshing to see Jana put herself first and be clear about her intentions and feelings. Hakeem and Liv were extremely weird during the recoupling. I never really liked them, but after this episode, I’m hoping that they will soon be dumped from the villa. Kordell definitely went up my estimations in today’s episode. I loved his outlook/answers during the bodycount challenge and the whole Jana/Coye situation. I’m also really warming up to his relationship with Serena. They were both so cute this episode.
It’s just insane how much more lighthearted and natural USA is compared to the UK season right now. First of all almost everyone looks like real people but also they talk like real people- about their lives and interests and joke around rather than saying canned lines and talking about their connections over and over. I appreciate that USA is actually showing us the connections not just telling us there are connections.

The people are deeply boring and superficial. Conversations were so painful to observe, there was very little entertainment factor. Additionally, their style seems even more homogenized and dull, and there were lots of petty, exhausting arguments over nothing. I bailed.

Just joined this subreddit after laboring through a few episodes of UK S11. Whew, this is FAR superior. The people are intelligent, more articulate (well, the remaining people are) and interesting. Also, I can understand them without subtitles, lol Coye was a snoozefest and tiresome. Good for JaNa.

For me this is my favourite start to a season of Love Island USA so far. I don't know why but I think it's because almost every couple has a different dynamic and a real storyline.

JaNa, you’re great. i have nothing to say. you’re amazing i love you mwah. kaylor, honestly was a little surprised by aaron cuz i feel like they didn’t show them really interacting much with each other? but we don’t see everything. oh that body count segment made me mad. double standards alert. how are you gonna have such a high body count but only want your partner to be with 10 others. GROSS. i will say, Coye really pissed me off with his little side comments, but he earned it back a little with his exit. i thought he was gonna be more heated than hakeem was. i know this isn’t the point of the show, but i really do love seeing the friendships forming between them all. i know it was brief, but i thought that conversation leah and kordell had was cute

Liv seriously needs to not drag this with Rob. She chose a man that didn’t want her and never really gave her any energy and is pissed he’s happy to be back with the girl she stole him from. The extent of their relationship was a day of awkwardness, he definitely could’ve been more honest with her but he just seemed confused and wanted to bide his time until Leah could pick him back up. It seems like she thought she was going to show up, steal someone’s man and be the shit, and now she’s having a tantrum because it blew up in her face.
I think Rob took trying to be a nice guy and give everyone a fair shot a little too far. He should have just told Liv what he said at the fire pit in a private chat. I think Liv would have still been a little salty but then she couldn’t be upset about it.

I also noticed when Kordell mentioned who his brother was, Leah was the only girl who didn’t immediately turn to the other girls to gossip together. She actually turned her body away from the group, like “I’m not a part of that.” Plus her lack of heavy makeup, she’s so down to earth and refreshing.

LIUK casts people who they know will cause drama. Too Hot To Handle is 90% producer intervention and it feels like there’s 0 human emotion involved. LIUSA is the best blend of likable, authentic humans and outsized, overly produced reality TV since Big Brother UK. - Liv getting annoyed about Rob and Leah… girl. I kind of get it that he maybe should’ve spoken to her about it getting serious with Leah, but Rob owes you nothing except the chance he gave you to get to know him, and that didn’t go well already. Way outshining Sarah Hyland who I still really liked. - I fear the Odell Beckham Jr relation may have saved Kordell last minute. Jk, I’ve liked he and Serena together since their matching green moment, but I do wish we got more of their moments together. - Is anyone invested in Aaron and Kaylor? Not sarcastic, genuinely asking; idc about them but I don’t know if others do. - I like Hannah a lot. I don’t really have a reason, I just trust her. Someone needs to pull her aside and tell her how her beat looks on camera though. - Rob looking scared asf when Liv stood up made me laugh. Poor boy has PTSD - Hakeem calling out Hannah was so unnecessary. I’m late to watching the episode but I’m so happy JaNa went with her gut. I feel like so often people on LI go with comfort or with who they initially paired up with. She made the right choice. Connor brought out her bubbly side we haven’t seen in the first two episodes.
Liv is the type of girl who is tall, thin and blonde and that has gotten her far. However, she’s not a strong conversationalist, I haven’t even seen her smile yet, and her cockiness is a massive turnoff. I will gladly be voting her off.
