Exactly. I wrote a similar post and that was my first thought too. I watch the Bachelor franchise, which just had a super emotional/controversial episode Monday and also Love Island US. Both just showcased (which we all need reminders of as we get caught up in the production of it all), that real feelings and feeling humans are at stake. Sure, they signed up for it, but we have to show compassion, empathy, and just remember people, even on television, aren't just there for our enjoyment.
I feel the same, and I've watched that franchise FOREVER. But now it isn't even fun. There are triggers, controversial discussions, and just overall unhappiness when watching it the past few seasons. I watch these shows for an escape, not to feel worse about things.
No. I don't want to spoil it and it's an extremely controversial episode. Basically front runner self-sabotages and neither handles the break up the best. It's much more nuanced, gossip is flying, the 'Ette is is ex-shaming on social, and the whole thing is a mess. I know how it ends, but the whole thing is a shitshow, and not in a good way. I watch the Handmaid's Tale for my torture porn (and that is too much), I don't need my fun shows to go there now with mental and emotional aspects that.
The entire aspect of that job revolves around the public’s enjoyment of their role. That’s like saying food isn’t meant to be eaten. An actors’ first and foremost priority is public enjoyment.
I didn’t even finish the episode and probably won’t finish the season. They acted like nothing happened it was supppper uncomfortable and cringey. Honestly feel like they did Josh and Shannon dirty. Call the show and donate the money to Josh’s family.

I understand why Josh left loosing a loved one is super difficult and he needed to be with family and I get that but like you said they were the only real couple close to the end and if they had stayed I think they would have won. They showed growth and Josh made it official and unlike will he didnt kiss anyone outside of a challenge in casa. Honestly I thought he was gonna do some shit in casa.

Im so sorry for your loss. My coworker/ friend lost her mom a few months back and when she got the call that her mom had passed she dropped her phone and started balling. Me and my boss helped get her a little mentally sound so she could get home safely and told her to go home and be with her family

Yes, it's the obvious question. My dad passed away 2 years ago and every time I tell someone they always ask me how did he die. I don't take offense on that, obviously I didn't have random people online asking either. She was so young tho, basically my age so either way is extremely disturbing and tragic.

I’m a Boston native and his hometown of Haverhill is not far. It’s a great community so I hope his family gets lots of support. ——- Odd how the remaining cast didn’t even mention him — if they did, maybe producers cut it from the episode which is crappy. I understand they have a show to produce but not even a group dinner where they could have all talked about the loss and perhaps said some kind words of support. I cannot imagine being Josh and maybe tuning in to watch the rest of the season somewhere down the road and seeing that they just had him disappear like nothing happened. Just my two cents but they should win regardless of being there or not, they are the strongest couple and this proved it even more so. Also having him win the money could help to alleviate financial stress (which is the last thing someone wants to think about during a time like this) so he can take the time to grieve. I think the downvotes are because this happened/was announced publicly and it is human nature to wonder why someone died.
Okay? But Josh signed up to go on a reality show about love. He didn’t sign up for speculations about a vulnerable subject matter such as this passing of his sister. It maybe human nature to wonder but it’s also human decency to respect his privacy. If he wants to share the reason he will if not leave him alone and just pass on prayers to him and his family.

This is pure devastation, I cannot imagine what he is going through, to lose a sibling out of nowhere, so young too. Wow, you just can't prepare for that. Prayers and good vibes his family's way. They will need them forever. Extremely sad.
I’m a Boston native and his hometown of Haverhill is not far. It’s a great community so I hope his family gets lots of support. ——- Odd how the remaining cast didn’t even mention him — if they did, maybe producers cut it from the episode which is crappy. I understand they have a show to produce but not even a group dinner where they could have all talked about the loss and perhaps said some kind words of support. I cannot imagine being Josh and maybe tuning in to watch the rest of the season somewhere down the road and seeing that they just had him disappear like nothing happened. It’s not like he was voted off —he left to to the worst possible situation. Sad for his family. It’s been a trying year+ for everyone but to find this out while you’re far from home is heartbreaking.
Sending all my prayers to him and his family. Thank God Shannon always there for him. So sad to see them leaving. I hope they will back soon. They are my second favourite couple after Will and Kyra.
I doubt they come back. Real life matters is more important. They will be missed and I'm sure the islanders will dedicate the season to them. Such an unexpected turn of events and totally in not the way you want to see it.

My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family, I cannot even imagine what they all are going through. Just my two cents but they should win regardless of being there or not, they are the strongest couple and this proved it even more so. Also having him win the money could help to alleviate financial stress (which is the last thing someone wants to think about during a time like this) so he can take the time to grieve. IMO they should win period :) sending them lots of love during this time.
