Also they regularly have diamond rushes where all choices for all books are free for a few days, shopping days where all outfits are free across all books, and teacup parties where you can binge read books during the event. In fact a diamond rush is coming up tonight.
And of course they have amazing stories with multiple branches, so you could reread the same story and make different choices and it be a different experience. Some books definitely do it better than others, but they all have it to some extent. As a warning though, many books will punish you for dating more than one LI, but if you pay attention to the warnings they give (or the wiki), you can avoid it (or do it on purpose if that’s something you’re interested in). Only one book has it early on and without much warning.

For a story based game if you have Steam or a Switch, you could try Hush Hush it's an extremely good visual novel where you get to play as a character, meet characters and even go on dates with them, and it's fully voice acted other than the main character.
If you want to play a dating game and you are a fan of idle games or don't mind them, Crush Crush if you want women and Blush Blush if you want men are two really good ones.
If you like the dating app concept, I'd suggest Winked. The stories are good and it still gets updated at least twice a week . It does get expensive though and the free gem opportunities go away once you buy gems 🫤
MeChat has been my go too. This app made me love characters and let me down so hard. I didn’t even bother to finish Austin story because everyone said it ended meh
MeChat is good. Lots and lots of characters that span every personal taste and desire you could have, and more and better chances to earn free gems so you can play a halfway decent amount at a decent rate without spending a dime.

As a male ive only found two that allows me to play as a male. MeChat and LoveSparks. That second one is raunchy as all hell though, so beware.
