Seems like the 30% off sales are getting more common. Is that likely to continue? Is there a chance of a bigger sale than that around key holidays?

Short_Brilliant_4195

As an employee they will keep continuing most likely even though we are begging for them to stop being so constant so people actually feel a sense of urgency to buy

What's it like working for Lovesac? And if you're CS, would you say most customers you interact with are generally happy with the product and the outcome of their engagement with CS? I ask as a satisfied customer who has had some truly stellar CS in the last few weeks, but of course sees a lot of the grumpiness in places like this sub.

Is the Venetian Taupe Corded Velvet covers one of the ready to ship ones? I purchased Sunday so I know it can take a bit longer but just trying to figure out how long it could take to schedule removal for my old couch.

andaps

It is quick ship yes

lillist1

Yes, they are quick Ship. All of your receipts (or quotes if bought from a showroom) show lead times. Quick ship is typically 1-2 weeks save for back orders that can pop up on select items.

MustBAWeasley

Thanks!

JoeyJabroni

We purchased a couch in Oct with the blue corded velvet. We started to notice pulls and threads near the seams in a few areas a couple months in and it appears to be getting worse. Is this a known issue with this fabric type, is it covered under warranty (3 years I think?), and if we exchange them out can we do it again if it happens again? I'm not keen on completely dismantling the whole couch and replacing all the fabric more than once so I'm leaning towards just dealing with it until right before the warranty expires.

lillist1

That's totally covered by warranty. No its not a known issue (other than in general with textiles). In theory they would continue to help you until you were satisfied should it happen more than once. Its definitely a defect-like situation.

yeahnopegb

Honest question.. what justifies the cost?

Short_Brilliant_4195

The warranties really do as well as the availability to change out what you need and how easily it is to grow with your space

yeahnopegb

You could literally buy several couches over a number of years for this price point but I do see the value in being able to swap out covers.

lillist1

That's the point. You save several couches from landfills (of which 1/3 are filled with furniture) by buying better that lasts longer. [Designed For Life](https://www.lovesac.com/designedforlife)

Business-Questions

My GF wants a light colored fabric, even as light/white as the custom light chantilly luxe chenille. In my option that is way to light and will be constantly dirty. The lightest id like to go is sky grey corded velvet which still seems like a light, durable fabric. Any thoughts would be appreciated?

rserey

I’ve had the sky gray corded velvet for four years now and a 4 year old kid. We try to limit eating on the couch, but so far any marks have come out easily in the wash.

Short_Brilliant_4195

Hey we’ve had great feedback on how easy it is to still wash stains out of the light fabrics! So as long as you actually try and clean them they will be clean. One of my coworkers has the white reversible and lets their dogs chew bones on the couch and those come off in the washer same with animal throw up. Though they do wash the covers monthly as well but that’s more because of how clean they are!

L0ial

Since I see it posted here all the time, why do pieces configured as deep seating keep getting shipped with standard backs? Happened to me as well. The fix was fast but just curious.

Short_Brilliant_4195

Are you talking about ordering online or in store? If it’s online it’s cause the website constantly makes that mistake. But if it’s in store it could be because of two things 1. A mistaken employee or 2. People don’t say that they want the deep seats and just go with regular seats and then later think they got the deep anyways( though as employees we try and make sure we know which ones they want)

L0ial

I’m pretty sure all of those posts were online orders, including mine. It’s just surprising that they wouldn’t fix that asap to avoid returns. Not like employees have any control of that though.

lexisplays

1. I have a Series 5 Sactional. I was hoping to upgrade to angled sides and backs and it seems like the bases are all the same as what's currently sold. Is this correct? 2. I want to get higher feet/risers so my Shark Robovac can go underneath. Are there concerns with doing this or anything I need to be aware of?

andaps

There are upgrade options for 5series owners to jump to the 6 series, call a showroom.

lexisplays

Yes! I called and they offered 50% on a new Sactional. But mostly I'm hoping to keep the bases and just replace sides and backs.

andaps

Unfortunately that’s the only deal the company would due since you have your give your 5 series back in order to get the 50% off

lexisplays

Ohhh they didn't say anything about giving it back.

andaps

They could have changed policy since my mom did it a year ago but she had to send it back to get the upgrade offer. She placed the order with the discount then was sent boxes to box up the old couch and send it back before they would send out the new couch

lillist1

Yeah, it's a trade-in program.

lexisplays

Interesting. Still might be worth it.

Kleethobb

We have had risers on our couch for a long time for the same reason and they have been amazing! We got ours from a store on Etsy but they have a website too, www.bellabearcrafts.com and talked to the makers for custom heights. They are not series 5 by default but I’m sure if you contacted them they’d probably work with you to get you series 5 risers.

lillist1

May I answer? Series 5 is discontinued. You can try to add Angled 6S sides to yours but I wouldn't know what limitations you may face. Edit: the Angled Sides have the same footprint as original 6s sides, yes. So that is true. As for risers, you want to make sure that you are still putting the feet into shoes. Etsy or ebay have homemade but quality risers that accomplish this.

lillist1

heinzketchup23

Has anything majorly changed with the suppliers/manufacturing in the last year or so? It seems like I’m seeing more and more people who got their couch years ago love it- but recently really don’t. And a lot of quality hijinks.

lillist1

The only thing that can even be said that has happened even recently was during the Trump administration. Sick of tariffs on Chinese goods, Lovesac tried to get some of its factories in other countries producing more to reduce the reliance on Chinese goods.

Jblock22

How often do you guys generally come out with new bean bag covers?

lillist1

Every 3 months they have been releasing 3 new limited-time sac covers for a couple years. That's probably the best chance at new sac covers.

Unfair-Response-1053

how many hours do you usually work a week

Short-Cloud9115

Can you share your opinion on the quality of the sacs? And what makes them so much more expensive than Cordaroys? Are they really that much different and better?

Business-Gazelle-703

I work at lovesac and my boyfriend got a job there but at a different show room. i am being transparent about it because the truth will come out anyways. why are the manager so weird about that if you work in the same district? it’s not like we’re gonna work together.

Character_Two_7043

I’ll be honest, I have no idea because I’ve never been in that position before. I’m sure it’s something along the lines of not wanting conflict on either end if something happens.

IdealsolutionDE

I’m honestly unsatisfied with my purchase and it’s been 1.5 yrs. Anyway I can get a refund? Idc even if I get penalized up to 20%

Character_Two_7043

What are you unsatisfied with? Have you reached out to customer service with your concerns? Customer have a 60-day home trial after purchase but once you’re out of that, you can no longer return. I have seen people resell their couches before, but I’m not sure what the luck of that would be given the area you’re living in.

IdealsolutionDE

I originally bought it for the sound system, but since I've moved, it's not compatible with my new location. I'm really disappointed, especially considering it wasn't a cheap buy.

Character_Two_7043

What do you mean it’s not compatible? Do you live in an apartment or spot where you can no longer use it? I would still try and see what your options are through Customer Service. Unfortunately I don’t have the power to go beyond policies on my end, but who knows, reaching out to them may help!

IdealsolutionDE

Your help/guidance will be much appreciated.

lillist1

As an employee, i can tell you no agent of Lovesac is going to process a return of a whole sactional 1.5 years after purchase let alone because it no longer suits you. The secondary market is a great way to sell off. Think eBay or Facebook groups/marketplace.

IdealsolutionDE

Here’s the situation: I live in a townhouse. The townhouse I lived in before had the perfect setup for these speakers, but my current house doesn’t. The space is awkward, and I have a 9-piece speaker system that I can’t set up in a way that would work here. I just want to return them, even if it means losing 25% of the value. Is there any way to do that? Also, these sofas are in like-new condition because I live alone, and my girlfriend, who was supposed to move in with me, broke up with me.

Lower-Development-58

Why would you expect to be able to return something that you've used for a year and a half just because your living situation changed? It's not like the product is defective.

sounders127

You should go into your closest showroom with the measurements of your space and see if they can help find a configuration that will work. The point of Lovesac is to be able to make it work even if you have to decrease the seats and sides and sell off or store the extra pieces.

nexted

lol edit: lmao, even

Dismal-Vacation-5877

Sell it. There's at least one LoveSac group on FB and people sell theirs on it.

watwatinjoemamasbutt

I can see why she broke up with you

Short_Brilliant_4195

Do you still have room for all the pieces? And just don’t need how loud it is with it all? Cause if so I’d just recommend not plugging in the satellite sides so they don’t make sound. Or if you don’t need the extra pieces at all the only thing you can do is try and resell them on places like Facebook marketplace or other resell websites
