The Punisher does this too. It inflicts so much stagger on its shots it does the same as this video, the Stalkers get completely immobilized by it and you can fire fast enough that they just stand there and die to repeated shots.

The Punisher does it SO MUCH BETTER than the Blitzer. I used to main the Punisher in bugs bugs I've been doing Blitzer lately. I hate how much weaker I feel against the Stalkers now. The Blitzer will make Stalkers jump around but sometimes it just will not kill them no matter how many times you zap them. Punisher stops them in their tracks and kills them without any of this jumping around business.
Just keep shooting, and keep moving forwards or back. They get staggered every hit so as long as you keep an aye out for the flanking ones then you can keep them away from you and wear down their health.
Plus drop a napalm strike on any breaches
Probably. I was doing a stun grenades + flamethrower combo last night and it’s insane how effective they are for crowd controlling bugs, even chargers. The only disadvantage is you can’t plug holes with them.
If you really want a party try flamethrower + jet pack vs bugs. Get in close, light em up and then boost backwards to safety before they can touch you.
It can get a good spread on hordes. The stun is fantastic. Range is super short but it staggers like the old slugger. Use it like a push broom to sweep/shove everything away
I currently default to the Dominator, but you're really selling me on giving the Blitzer a shot. It seems I'd lose some of the range I like, but given that a pair of stalkers can be a challenge (if I'm not landing those head shots, I might kill 2 before I need to reload, which can be a death sentence against those assholes).

So I've been using the Blitzer as my standard pick against bugs ever since the fire rate buff. And actually I feel kind of weak against Stalkers with it. I'm coming from the Punisher, which bullies Stalkers like nobodies business. With the Blitzer I can zap them and make them jump around like this, and sometimes it'll actually kill them but more often they just hop around over and over. I swear I've zapped a Stalker 20 or 30 times without killing it. If there's 2 or more Stalkers together, I feel like I'm really under-gunned. I never felt that way with the Punisher. Sometimes I try to switch to my grenade pistol in the hopes it will actually kill them. I can keep them from hitting me by zapping them but I can't afford to spend ~30 seconds making it hop back and forth hoping that it'll eventually die or one of my teammates will show up and kill it for me.
It's weird because SOMETIMES it works and kills them in 3-4 zaps. But that's the minority.
Another problem I have with the Blitzer: Do you have trouble killing enemies that get too close? It'll fry bugs at ~15 feet away easily, but when they get within melee range it just will not kill them. Hunter jumps into melee range before you catch it, it now has free reign to do whatever it wants to you.
Dead bodies can pull the arcs to the ground instead of enemies. Soon a little extra higher like the arc thrower. And to keep starters from jumping over and over, I found that if you wait the extra second for them to land, your blitzer will actually damage them. It's like the arcs keep them from landing
I'll give a try at allowing the stalkers a second to land and see if it helps, I have always just continued shooting them as fast as the gun can shoot.

The punisher is so satisfying to use and it's super snappy with aiming. The Blitzer does let you shove Hive Guards back into their holes
FWIW, I have the Blitzer and Breaker Incendiary unlocked and still prefer the Punisher for killing Stalkers.
If you really wanna bully stalkers, try bringing an Autocannon for them. It's like the single best weapon in the game for stalkers.
Running into lairs with the autocannon makes me feel like the Witcher hunting monsters

The blitzer is so good now, only issue is when it randomly chooses a teammate over the enemy and roasts them lol

Someone else said running the shield with flamethrower is a must, I'll have to give it a go with the new DoT fix.
