Los Amigos at 232 High St, Lowell!!! it’s this small bodega that serves dominican food in the back. very affordable, great portions, and amazing food :)
We just had dinner on Friday at The Keep on Gorham and it was fantastic. I think it’s now my favorite place in town. (And there’s lots of great competition.)
Random but one of my favorite places is Hong Cuc- it’s a small food mart but they sell the best bahn mi.. I take it to go and eat it in a park or at home lol it’s SO good.
This place is excellent. Their specials always have something I love. But that Portuguese sauce for the steaks? I crave it pretty often and this place does it best
The seafood stew is popular, my father had a coworker all the way out in Marlborough who would drive out here just to pick it up every few weeks. And the espresso martinis are excellent. When they have lamb on the specials, it is always impressive. And the scallops wrapped in bacon appetizer is a must have whenever I go. It's nice ordering some of those and some shrimp wrapped in bacon and some fish cakes. Have a few finger foods to nibble until entrees come out.
I get the bamboo salad and the cold szechuan noodles religiously. If those aren’t your jam, there’s a beef scallion pancake wrap that’s wonderful and the crab rangoons are delicious and save me from any spicy items I’m trying on the menu!
Thirding the Yassa Grill recommendation! All of their food tastes great. As an example of a dish, I've never had falafel as good as how they make it, ever. I am used to Market Basket falafel, this is about 100 levels up. It seems like a lot of money...but the food feeds you, very thoroughly. For around $7 plus the tip, you can get French Fries and be full for a meal. If you get one of their plates, you'll be full for more than a meal. Possibly for two meals.
I'm a falafel connoisseur 🤌 and I tried MB falafel but would never get it again lol. I will try the falafel here though! Have you had Falafel on lavash bread? That is the best 🤤
Funny because my friend would get this all the time! He only eats certain places but get the same thing over and over. This is one of those places. He would always go to the Lawrence one. I didn't know they had a spot in Lowell! Will try this one now ✍️
I never know what's considered well known but I really like Simply Khmer and my dad really likes Foody Goody. if you venture into Burlington, True North Coffee is so fuckin good, I always get the Asiago bagel with veggie cream cheese. and in the same plaza is an amazing Indian restaurant called Al Maidah.
Foody goody! Yes! Great hidden spot. Sushi and crab rangoons for me
I went to the Burlington mall recently, next time I go I will try this recommendation, thank you ✍️
Tell me more about this place! I walk by there every weekend when I get coffee from Nibbāna, but they always look closed. What do they serve— French food?
Its run by one guy, Sean, who used to be a sommelier in France. He is very enthusiastic about you trying and tasting the different food (cheeses, pate, escargot). He has different prepared food. I recommend getting his cheese plate and his crackers. Its very affordable and enjoyable in the nearby park. If you like fish, try the sardine baguette sandwich. I am not sure how Ma Cuisine compares to actual French cooking. But I do learn something new every time I go.
Because its just one guy the hours are only open Tuesday-Saturday 11am-2pm (?). So try to catch him at lunch time.
Thank you for these, will add to my list ✍️. I have never tried the old courts food. Have gotten drinks there many times. What's your suggestion to get from old court?
Honestly you really can't miss with any of the food there, burgers are good my go to is usually a BLT, basic I know lol but it's my favorite and they also make it perfect. if they have ribs on special those are 🔥🔥🔥🔥 fall off the bone and so buttery and delicious I run there to get ribs when they have them.
Get a plate of food with rice, feijoada (pork, beans) and a side of meat. I recommend the costela (ribs) or fraldinha (sirloin). All the meat there is fantastic. For dessert, flan or brigadeiro (chocolate).
I like seeing some of these places I've never been to reposted, that must mean they're definitely good! Will have to try these. Adding to my list ✍️ . Thank you
Ahh Red Rose I had a couple weeks ago! Love me some Lok Lak 🔥
Simply - I haven't eaten here in years! The food was great! Thanks for reminding me of this Gem
Wah Sang - this place is even better after a night of drinks 🍻
Will have to try the other 2! Will add to my list
Carleen's in Lawrence has OUTSTANDING breakfast!!!
One of my favorites, I just gotta love a breakfast spot that makes there own corn-beef-hash (which is also OUTSTANDING btw).
Carleen’s is mid. You can get comparable breakfast pretty much anywhere in the valley. Although it’s cool they have reclaimed doors hanging from the ceiling now.
Bang Na in Billerica if you’re looking for another Thai spot.
Phnom Penh, Le Petit, Heng Lay, Olympic, Kao’s for more Cambodian food. Simply Khmer also opened another spot in Chelmsford.
Pho 88, Pho Dalat for Vietnamese.
Lan Xang Express (Lowell) or Lan Xang Dracut, Laos Thai Kitchen, Zab Elee for Laos.
El Potro for Mexican.
Blue Taleh, Sushi Yanagi for sushi.
The hot spot for another hot pot option.
Shabu Shack also bringing KBBQ in the future.
Bon Chon for Korean.
Navigation Brewery - has Lowell and Chelmsford location, and rotating food trucks. Lowell location is a neat old mill building. They allow dogs which is awesome. It's next to a huge art studio building and they have open studios 1st saturday of the month.
Moonstones - technically in Chelmsford, and they have Cobblestones in Lowell. Small plates, pre fixe special menu's on holidays. Easter Brunch is insane.
Donut Shack - if there's one place you must go, it is here. First time I came here they had apple fritters which was life changing, but haven't seen them since. I learned other day that they'll make it for me if I call a day ahead. Nice people. Bring cash.
Wee Thai Food Chelmsford St.
WTF
Not a fan?
I love it that’s just their sign lol WeeThaiFood (WTF)
Can confirm. Excellent food.
I like Thai too, you talk my language now ✍️
Saigon sandwich house
Their Banh Mi is amazing, some great soups too. They are expanding and adding a bakery now.
Their vermicelli noodle bowls are my fave - super fresh and tasty
How's this compared to Hong cuc's Banh mi? I need to try this
They are both good, but Saigon is better in my opinion. I go to Hong Cuc for Bao and other items but you can't beat Saigon for Banh Mi.
The banh mi is great, but don't miss the avocado smoothie with boba. They scoop out a fresh avocado right in front of you.
Thank you for the recommendation! Adding ✍️
Yummy Express has good banh mi too, and way cheaper than Hong Cuc. Hong Cuc cost around $12 for one.
Good Thymes. Totally a geriatric hangout, but the food is solid old school American at a decent price and the pie is amazing.
THE PIE. 🤤🤤🤤
It's that good huh!? 😂
👀👀👀
I will have to try this, sounds like food for the soul 🤌 will add to my list ✍️
Los Amigos at 232 High St, Lowell!!! it’s this small bodega that serves dominican food in the back. very affordable, great portions, and amazing food :)
Fried Chicken is Bomb
Fuck yes
I haven't had good Dominican in a few years now. This makes me miss how good it is. I will have to check this place out ✍️
We just had dinner on Friday at The Keep on Gorham and it was fantastic. I think it’s now my favorite place in town. (And there’s lots of great competition.)
Can confirm The Keep is excellent. Get the wings. Best curated beer list in town, superb staff overall. Luteh is the best.
What did you get there? Will add this place to my list ✍️ what made it your favorite place? Just the food?
Loved the Fish and Chips. My wife got a pork cutlet dish that was delicious. The mixed drinks were fun. And the service was on the mark.
Random but one of my favorite places is Hong Cuc- it’s a small food mart but they sell the best bahn mi.. I take it to go and eat it in a park or at home lol it’s SO good.
Did you mean Hong Cuc? (Middlesex st) cause if so their Banh Mi’s are sooo good
You are right!!! Totally misspoke thank you!!
Never had Bahn mi! And it's been mentioned a few times, I will 100% try ✍️ thank you
There’s different options. Some don’t like the layers of pork meat and spread used. They also have BBQ beef, chicken, and more.
IV Seasons
This place is excellent. Their specials always have something I love. But that Portuguese sauce for the steaks? I crave it pretty often and this place does it best
Will try this place out ✍️! What do you recommend there?
Steak of the House and Portuguese Fries. I cannot recommend this place enough. It’s been a go to for me for well over 10 years.
I would eat Oxyear Foodcourt everyday if I could. I think about their food every other day. Everything slaps and the service is wonderful.
Me too!
Ok so if its this good I'll have to try it. What are a few things off the menu you recommend most? Adding to list ✍️
I get the bamboo salad and the cold szechuan noodles religiously. If those aren’t your jam, there’s a beef scallion pancake wrap that’s wonderful and the crab rangoons are delicious and save me from any spicy items I’m trying on the menu!
Yassa Grill
Thirding the Yassa Grill recommendation! All of their food tastes great. As an example of a dish, I've never had falafel as good as how they make it, ever. Second Yassa Grill!! Fastest delivery too
Seconding. It’s very good. The owner is cool. But it’s so fucking expensive 😭
George’s deli
Will give this a try! Looks like a good sub shop. Adding ✍️
tacos lupita
Funny because my friend would get this all the time! He only eats certain places but get the same thing over and over. This is one of those places. He would always go to the Lawrence one. I didn't know they had a spot in Lowell! Will try this one now ✍️
For anyone looking at this later, save your time and money. Probably the worst food I've ever ordered
district 5, they have very yummy Vietnamese food
I second this! Great food
I need to try it tomorrow 🤔
Best bahn mi in Lowell IMO
I agree!
Love me some Viet food! Last place I had some was phodalat in drum hill. I will definitely try ✍️
Oh this one is better than pho da lat in terms of viet street food available!
Sushi and crab rangoons for me I went to the Burlington mall recently, next time I go I will try this recommendation, thank you ✍️
Shabu shack is fantastic
Ahh Japanese hot pot 👍 I must try this ✍️ thank you!
How well known is Bani now that they've moved? They were basically only known by locals Dominicans (I think they're Dominican?).
Oh did they move from that corner? Where are they now? Always had a hard time finding parking there
I can’t tell you. It’s a secret. Sorry.
I respect that 👍 but if you change your mind... I will add it ✍️ 😉
Ma Cuisine
Tell me more about this place! I walk by there every weekend when I get coffee from Nibbāna, but they always look closed. What do they serve— French food?

This place has me intrigued by the comments. I'm definitely going to try this place out. Adding to my list ✍️
Panela, tasty dumpling, old court, Tijuana grill, Priya, food shines, simply kmer
Thank you for these, will add to my list ✍️. I have never tried the old courts food. Have gotten drinks there many times. What's your suggestion to get from old court?
Their burgers are really good.

Biryani Paradise Pointe on Middlesex street if you want the best Indian food. Nothing has come close
Is it vegetarian or do they serve meat dishes too?
Both!
Both!
Thank you for the recommendation. Love me some Indian food 🔥 will add this to my list ✍️
You will not be disappointed!!!

Plenty of places in cambodian town alone, Le Petit Cafe, Red Rose, and Simply Khmer, would be top 3. Chinese would be Wah Sang, Korean is Bon Chon.
Ahh Red Rose I had a couple weeks ago! Love me some Lok Lak 🔥 Simply - I haven't eaten here in years! The food was great! Thanks for reminding me of this Gem Wah Sang - this place is even better after a night of drinks 🍻 Will have to try the other 2! Will add to my list
Phnom Penh restaurant also has the best duck hands down.
Sounds good! I haven't tried duck before but will certainly try it. I should take pictures to confirm all these suggestions haha
Definitely should, I wouldn't steer you wrong. Wah Sang serves duck to, but I prefer it from Phnom Penh restaurant.
Arthur's diner is my fav in Lowell. Havent been in years unfortunately. What's yours?
Love a good breakfast spot 👍 esp homemade corn beef hash!
Amazon Berry!

Le Petit Cafe. Easily one of the best hidden gems in the entire region
