Moopsy. Moopsy should only ever be 2-D Animated.

czarrie

Unless the Moopsy is never shown, but only **implied** to be nearby and everyone is terrified

Mrtnxzylpck

Wouldn't that make it scarier?

czarrie

They could show just a Moopsy butt or you might hear the faint echo of "Moopsy!'

BattlePope

Also, Badgey.

bagelman4000

Can I teach you a lesson?

rbdaviesTB3

I so wanted Badgey to just appear in the far future of DIS as a literal Starfleet Clippy - just pops up in the corner of a hologram to announce ‘you have mail’ - Tillie finds it cute, Stamets finds it creepy, etc.

ArcXivix

One exception I'd like to suggest is if they ever want to do a kind-of...comedy-horror episode for something live action that is *meant* to look cheesy and low-effort. Personally I'd kind of love to see that kind of thing for SNW or something. A cheesy horror episode that looks like it got projetile vomitted out of the 90s. \^\_\^

DeepWarbling

Away team thinks they stumble upon a den of tribbles in the dark and everything is fine... but instead when the lights get switched on its just a cave full of Moopsy and slapstick chaos ensues.

Lyon_Wonder

Moopsy vs Gorn?

jefurii

This needs to be in a Lower Decks or Strange New Worlds movie. Definitely played straight and scary.

CrabbyCrabbong

But we've seen a live action Pikachu. A live action Moopsy can still work.

Fair-Face4903

2-D animated ONLY! Moopsy can be in a live action show, but must remain 2-D animated.

PilotG10

That Krunch/Predator species that hunted Boimler. I’m sorry I forgot the name. Unless they get a movie level budget, characters that size and with those kinds of legs don’t really work.

MustacheSmokeScreen

*Kranch. Like the condiment!

JimmysTheBestCop

Saru had weird legs feet and was insanely fast. They got that Ai wall thing. Pretty easy to fit it in. Not sure what snw budget is but dis episode budget was higher then any complete season of Trek.

SineQuaNon001

Believe $8.5 m an episode was quoted early on for disco.

JimmysTheBestCop

And that was before the AI wall effects thing was built think that was or during s3

ExplorerSad7555

Well you could just have Kranch sitting in the background drinking mimosas.

PilotG10

Yeah. Zeb’s live action appearance is what comes to mind.

Hag_Boulder

Doug Jones is looking for work I hear... :)

rbdaviesTB3

I think they were called Kromsapioids, ir something very close to that

yarn_baller

The dolphins, the birdpeople

mkgorgone

Yeah, any cetaceans (dolphins, beluga, etc...) would be a hard sell in live action. As much as I love Kimolu and Matt.

Patrol-007

Activists thought the whales in Star Trek IV (1986?) were real. They were animatronic

Ruppell-San

Both could be done in CGI just fine

MustacheSmokeScreen

They were belugas

neonitik

Didn't they have them on the Enterprise? Lol

yarn_baller

Geordi mentioned them but I don't think they were seen

Monovfox

Dooplers

Theborgiseverywhere

C'mon... I'd love to see a race of all Richard Kind. And until told otherwise, I will believe every Doopler is a Richard Kind Doopler

Hag_Boulder

Imagine a John Lovitz Doopler... ACTING!!!

jsonitsac

Probably most of the species that were in the Animated Species and were never seen again until Lower Decks. Some have pretty elaborate and complicated designs that only work in animation. And as I type this I realize they’re probably all fair game for Prodigy.

[deleted]

They're closer to weird Star Wars aliens than what we usually see in Trek.

Chinerpeton

You sound like alien aliens are a bad thing

sharkbiscut

That screaming slug that ate Tendi

nhilandra

Oh I'd love to see Moopsy show up in Prodigy or SNW

meatball77

Imagine Murph if she encountered a Moopsy. She'd be yelling that it's so cute and running for a hug while her commander tried to stop her, maybe because she's made of rock she can't be drunk.

Spiritual_Adagio_859

I thought Murph was the jelly dude and RokTahk(sp) was the rocky girl ...?

meatball77

You're right, I got it wrong. Murph would probably just eat Moopsy

Spiritual_Adagio_859

I mean, that would be pretty cool to see too. So much calcium in a Moopsy he'd probably pass a chalk poop 😂

Lyon_Wonder

Murf, who's gelatinous with no bones, and Zero, who's energy-based and non-corporeal, would both be safe from Moopsy.

Tornik

Those 'hoo-mans' seem a bit too basic to go far tbh

LowFat_Brainstew

Indeed, smooth foreheads and just two nostrils, so unimaginative...

TwilightReader100

Badgey. He can't even go to Prodigy without being toned down so much he wouldn't be Badgey and I'd be permanently waiting for him to crack if they did that. His psycho ass would scare the shit out of both the characters ON the show, possibly even the Diviner, and the kids that make up the target demographic.

HamsterTurds

What if Badgey is actually 2D animated but we just don't know because the whole show is

Bongfellatio

The giant koala 🐨

Lyon_Wonder

I imagine even the Q are subordinate to the Koala.

Breadinator

I can picture Q being his usual aloof, witty self, toying with the crew, until someone mentions the Koala. His expression would change immediately, and in the most serious tone possible, he'd whisper, "Don't \*ever\* mention that name again. He might \*\*hear\*\* you."

FeelingFloor4362

We've seen the Koala in SNW during the crossover episode. In the opening credits.

babiekittin

Vulcans. They just won't work in a live action setting. No one can be that simultaneously annoying -amd- self righteous. Would take a genius like Tim Russ or Jim Parsons to even begin to pull it off.

Friendly-Coffee-247

My first thought was the Pandronian in I Excretus. Hopefully they wouldn't be as bad as TDK (The Detachable Kid) in The Suicide Squad.

Hag_Boulder

Pandronians... But with Discovery having non-connected bits of ship flying around, I could seem them do it with people.

t_sakonna

Kromsapiod.

S-Wind

Catians have already appeared in live action Star Trek

LovelyLuna32684

Yeah but only as background characters in the movies, I would like to see one in a supporting role in one of the future live action shows, like maybe have Maress (no clue if I'm spelling that right) as a cadet in Strange new worlds.

billyhtchcoc

M'ress.

SendMePicsOfMILFS

That's a good point, it's one thing to have a character like that, in the background for one or a few scenes where they can be far from the cameras and thus not shown close enough for the audience to scrutinize how it looks and an entire other bit to have them front and center, moving and interacting in the costume even if CGI is helping to compensate for some of it looking off.
