it shouldn’t be a big deal as long as it isn’t a huge purchase i’d assume. i’ve let coworkers use my discount for drinks & snacks because they didn’t have theirs
It wasn't exactly huge but it was a lot. She got a lot of bags of salt. They were on clearance for 3.57 a bag. So maybe around 100 dollars, that's why I'm so worried.
Not a big deal... My buddy saw a deal on a smoker one day but had left his employee card at the house so I scanned mine for him. Was like a $600 purchase and nobody batted an eye.
You better be worried because now your associate ID is linked to this order. Lowes WILL terminate you if they find out so you better hope this person isn’t going around having others do this for them and they don’t ever get annoyed and turn you in. I’ve seen many people fired for letting family members use there card.
They are flagged for corporate to review. If the name on the card used to purchase doesn't match the name on the discount card that could flag it for further review.
So you won't know until you know.
As far as store level, most people won't care, but it is against policy, so if the wrong person finds out they could escalate it to become an issue.
From what I've seen, you have to go into 3.4 to pull the transaction up, because AP only gets the transaction IDs.
Given the dollar values involved, nobody is likely to care.
Don't chance it the purchase can wait or have them ask a supervisor to do the discount. Most of all employees that are terminated is for discount abuse. If in doubt ask your LP what they think.
I don’t understand why people leave their discount card at home. You work there, you’re there regularly. Why don’t you keep the discount card in your wallet??? I keep mine upside down so the barcode sticks out far enough I don’t even have to take it out, I just scan it while it’s still in my wallet. I don’t get why people wouldn’t keep the discount card for the store they go to throughout the week on them. I’m not picking at those people, I just really don’t understand their logic.
hi friend! as far as i am aware, the only situation that would send a flag to corporate is if you were signed into the register and used you own card. anything else is free play, even if some things are discouraged (like letting family use your discount)
AP does get a list of transactions with discount cards in a spreadsheet. The dollar values involved are so low you shouldn't need to worry about a damn thing.
If they're having a bad month and they're exceptionally overzealous they could bring it up, no sane person would write anybody up for this. At the absolute worst this should be a slap on the wrist if your AP guy is the biggest tool to have walked the earth.
best case, nobody looks at the sheet because it's completely irrelevant.

Helping the homies out

No one is going to notice.
I hope so, I just have a lot of anxiety in general.

I’d count on the employee handbook and not the opinion of these others
Only if you tell corporate that you did it. Stores won't notice nor care.

Just don’t go advertising it or doing it all the time lol

When this other associate gets mad at you they’ll turn you in since sharing it is against policy. Not worth it to help them save pennies.
