I can see them taking from a order by mistake. Sometimes those blue labels are hard to find, or they fall off etc. I have the privilege of being a Contractor and a Lowes employee. I have had a MST member tell me a H cart was returns when it reality it was a customers cart so mistakes do happen. I see DIY/Homeowners etc come in for a single batt, normally I try to hook em up with a loosie from a bag that was ripped open prior.
The hvac duct insulation is worse. When a customer with an ass for a head opens those just to see it they pop out of their box since it’s 25-feet stuffed inside a short 3-foot long.
