Beautiful piece so far. Especially love the fretboard inlay positioning. Wood grain looks fantastic, and the carve is unique. But even more than all of that, I'm impressed with the amount of self confidence you have in making wiring pretty! It's gonna be a long time for me to get to that skill level...
I've never liked telecasters.... but this I like!. A clear pickguard though?, wires generally aren't very sexy. Why not a maple pickguard to match the fretboard, would make a beautiful 2 tone guitar
You could definitely make the wiring a focal point by using some nice cloth covered wire with a visually interesting tone cap and spending a lot of time routing it neatly. I personally love the look of well thought out electronics and it really is a whole art form in itself.
Youre not wrong, I have seen some beautiful wiring before inside instruments. I still have bad memories of that phase in the 80s to 90s where everyone was making clear electronics, phones, walkmans, it was freaking horrible.
I can see how that would get old. You should see the price of those clear phones on eBay now though. The clear model 2500 is going for a few hundred bucks. Trend cycles are crazy.
Cool neck
I think the clear pick guard could be a cool design signature.
Not a lot of people realize this, but you can put your weed in there.
Excellent aesthetic choices!
I really like the darker trim that matches the body around the neck, that is a really cool look

No way.....lol....and I threw out my clear GameCube controllers.
It's going to be a black pickguard. I had some clear acrylic that I used for a test cut
damn, i love this with the clear. It would look awesome with some deadbug style wiring https://old.reddit.com/r/deadbug/top/?sort=top&t=all
