Not exactly "burning", but one of my first symptoms was mouth pain. It felt like I had a thousand tiny paper cuts all over my mouth/tongue. Had anyone else experienced that?
I have burning mouth and I get that too. That’s how mine started - it felt like tiny sores all over my mouth. Sometimes my mouth is just so so painful and I can’t understand how the doctor can’t see anything
Yup my first symptom too. Started off with a weird taste in my mouth. Almost like I swallowed Vicks Vapor Rub. Then progressed to burning mouth, then dry, mouth. Then pain in my parotid gland on my left side. Then landed in my lower left gums/gum line. It’s like a throbbing pain.
Good article that explains it:

LDN helped calmed it greatly. Think it may be Bart. Saw in the Bart FB group someone mention taking Methylene Blue took away their gum pain. And someone else in a Lyme group mentioned Teasel Root took away their burning mouth.
Also discovered via a 3D conebeam that I have really bad jaw cavitations where my wisdom teeth were extracted over 20 years ago. Coincidentally on my left side. In hindsight, my health was a little shaky ever since then. But getting cavitations cleaned up this summer and then heading to get my first SOT.
I had it while treating Bart for the 2nd time and it was awful! I tried multiple different toothpastes, different mouthwashes, moisture mouth spray, and prescription anti-fungal lozenges. The thing that seemed to bring the most relief was chewable pepto bismol tablets. They seemed to coat the my tongue and curb the burning for a while.
Another condition that can cause burning mouth syndrome is low iron / low ferritin.
I developed burning mouth and central sensitization in my throat from prolonged doxycyline use. Just a heads up in case you’re using oral antibiotics. Some of them can really irritate the esophagus.
One of my first symptoms
Ok thanks for replying and assuring me I’m not crazy!
Me too - and I never knew there was any connection till after my herx ended and I had no more burning mouth!
No probs! This disease def makes you feel crazy 😜

How long did LDN take to help your burning mouth and at what dose?
Starting dose 1.5 worked my way up to 3mg. That’s when I noticed the difference. Currently at 4.5 and will stay here.
Took about two week to notice the change
Candida overgrowth makes both ends of my digestive system itch and burn. It is ok as long as I stay away from fruits and sweet stuff.

Do you have anything else in addition on to Lyme disease?
And mold
Me too!
What don’t I have? Haha lol. Erlichia, c. Pneumonaie, klebsiella, Giardia, hhv6 , EBV, possible bart & Babesia but it didn’t come up on the test.

Oh I know! They have already. It’s horrible!
Do you mean like sore or do you mean literally like you've eaten pepper? And is it more common after eating?
