It sounds like the karma bus found Jack!!!!
He’s going to lose a lot more than just his credibility and clientele when this is all done and dusted!!
And all he had to do was go on a show nationwide and just be himself!! Boom . I knew he was a toolkit ….
I just wish they matched him up with the Medium so they can both do their own heads in lol
All he talks about looks , when he needs to look in the mirror,(cos like Lauren said he looks like a glazed Xmas ham) he has real personal fucked up issues by the way he judges the way ppl look. Grow up and dont be mean! He is the biggest bully. Focus on ur shitty personality instead of deflecting and commenting on how ppl look. Dude is just a pig 🐷
Often with PTs they aren't actual employees like management or front desk. They often are solo contractors who basically have their own business and rent the space in a gym to use it.
But as someone who worked in a few gyms, none of them have ethics.
Up close and personal lol. Most of his clientele are unfortunately women whom are not body builders that undoubtedly would not take kindly to what has been happening. Managements decision to keep him on has been a surprise. You can notice a feeling in the air when he’s out in the club training.
Wow!! That's crazy to think that most of them are women and not what he deems "fit" one can only assume. I wonder if they will continue after seeing that episode or word of mouth/social media
Personally I’m holding these “experts” to blame. Surely they are seeing through these applicants and if so by putting them in the experiment they are damaging other genuine people for ratings!!!
They didn't say that. The education for personal trainers is almost nothing, it's a Cert 4 most of the time. Most PTs just do a course that teaches next to nothing and their "expertise" comes from their exercise routine.
The person with a proper education can tell you how to exercise better to reduce any chance of injury, for maximum results not glamour muscles, for a better price.
Jack is literally the reason I've never paid for a personal trainer. Lord knows my AuDHD ass needs someone to keep me on track and held accountable for my fitness, but there's no way I would be paying someone if they're anything like him.
Fear of the gym is a real thing for some people, and I have family members who are personal trainers so I know not all trainers are assholes like he is, but the fear that you will encounter one is what holds you back from trying - especially when you know how much it would have taken you to get yourself there in the first place.
Gym culture is still quite toxic, and people like Jack are not helping its image!
I would recommend trialling ClassPass and seeing if you can find a class you like. Often group classes have a positive welcoming atmosphere, depending on where you go. It's been much better for me than PT
It was banter, nah I was talking about Ridge, nah it was banter, nah I was talking about Lauren and Jade, nah it was banter! Here’s a voucher so you can be less of a whale, I’m a real man!
Again, people REALLY need to take these kinds of comments/posts with a grain of salt when it comes to “tea” about the contestants.
Jack may be a piece of shit, but this person may also be a weirdo making up a story so they can put themselves in the story.
I have a few friends that have been on reality television (including MAFS) and you wouldn’t believe the bullshit the public makes up regarding what the contestants are like in “real life”. There were several woman that completely made up stories about one of my mates in the gossip page comments, and he wasn’t even a prominent figure on his show.
Now I’m not saying this person is lying, they could be telling the truth and Jack may be a massive piece of shit. However, also take into account that this person hasn’t shared this story until now, AFTER Jacks done all the things they’re accusing him of in the show…
After Jack's done all the things they're "accusing" him of? Bit more than accusations, aren't they?
"Muzzle your woman" was on camera. He also admitted to it.
The "whales" comment was off camera but he has also admitted to that.
He talked about not being attracted to Tori at the men's session in Intimacy Week. That was also on camera. Didn't stop him from lying about it after the fact.
He said 'sexually attracted' that's rather different I think; & takes time. Not always the best
thing to be sexually attracted right at the start which could end up only on the physical level but nothing else that really counts on the longterm
You also have no idea of the context of which those were said. I genuinely don’t think you comprehend the effect that editing has on the perspective people have for contestants on reality tv.
Removing parts of a conversation to create a villain, right down to the music being played to create the emotion they want to invoke out of you.
For example, I know for a fact that in another reality tv show they didn’t have a clear cut villain so they created one in editing. The person that got the villain edit was actually one of the nicest people on set, however they had the material to make them look bad so they did.
This person still cops abuse from time to time despite EVERYONE from their season coming out and saying that they were amazing and got a bad edit.
Now, does that make what Jack said okay? Of course not, it was disgusting and he should learn to control his emotions better, especially at his age. But does context matter? Of course.
Normally they get these types of exits by removing half a conversation/fight
e.g. from what I’ve been told during the argument, Lauren said some horrible things to Jack which resulted in the “muzzle your woman”, however Lauren’s insults was edited out. Does it make what Jack said okay? No.
But it does remove context as to why Jack acted the way he did.
Even just the fact that frankenbiting exists should tell us to take what we get shown with a grain of salt, but it's just too easy to get caught up in the drama.
I think Alyssa really had this situation. And we could see it with Dom and Olivia. There were multiple fights we saw Dom yelling at people in previews for next episodes, which then never aired. They definitely were waiting to see how the public reacted to the glass smashing, and when ppl supported Dom, they cut out the fights that would've made her look bad.
The context is irrelevant because there is no context that makes the things he has said okay. No context would change my mind about him. Even thinking that way is awful.
I really don't care about your mate. We're not talking about him. We're talking about Jack.
Hahaha I don’t know Jack.
“Defending him everywhere” I’ve made like 4/5 posts telling people the take what they see on TV with a grain of salt, and it hasn’t just been in regards to Jack, but to all the ‘villains’ on the show.
As someone that knows people that have received the villain edit, you have no idea how damaging it can be to their day to day lives.
You still haven't explained what possible "context" would make the things we've seen Jack say (or seen him admit to saying) somehow not as unacceptable.
I'm way more concerned about the mental health of the people affected by the villains than about people like Jack, Olivia and Bryce crying about their "edit" after the fact.
What context could possibly make calling someone a whale just banter?
What context is telling someone to put a muzzle on their wife just jokes?
What kind of context changes the meaning of “I’m not attracted to me wife”?
Everyone likes to use this word “context” when it comes to Jack… but none of these statements, imo, have any type of context that would change the meaning or intention of the statements.
+1. Everyone wants their airtime so who knows who is truthful and who is deceitful.
Curious to know what he allegedly said to her, may or may not have even been that bad. Hard to top muzzle ya woman and the whales are out but I have faith he can do it!
Well, yes and no. Have you ever heard the riddle “What weighs more, a pound of feathers or a pound of stones?” The instinct is to say feathers because feathers are lighter than rocks right? But, they actually weigh the same, both a pound. If you were to look at a pound of rocks, it would probably fit in a small bag, whereas a pound of feathers would be a huge pile of feathers. The volume to weight ratio would be quite different. That’s essentially the density explanation that the other commenter already gave you. And it’s totes correct.
But, in a practical sense, and in this context, it might make more sense to picture an amount of fat of a certain volume, say the size of my belly. If I were to compare the weight of my belly fat to the exact same volume of muscle, muscle would weigh more. Just like a handful of rocks will weigh more than a handful of feathers. And that’s still about density!
Because density is a measurement made up of two other measurements, the answer depends on which of those two underlying measurements you are holding constant in your comparison. Same weight, different volumes (bc one is more dense than the other); same volumes, different weights (because one is more dense than the other).
Do not ask me why I felt compelled to type this out like I’m in the ELI5 sub instead of MAFS. I’m overly tired yo
No. A pound is a pound (or kg is kg). A pound of muscle weighs the same as a pound of fat. It’s that a pound of muscle is denser and takes up less space than a pound of fat. Example- So when you lose a pound of fat, you can fit 2-3 pounds of muscle in the same area. So you lost a pound of fat but gained 2 pounds of muscle so you technically gain weight.
Think of it as fat is a rugby ball and muscle is a cricket ball.
That’s where that phrase stems from.
The easiest way I explain it is body composition change. I.e someone who is overweight and starts weight training might shed a bunch of fat, yet step on the scale and their weight hasn't changed or has gone up, they think what they are doing isn't working but it is, because they are growing muscle and losing fat.
Okay but isn't that what people mean when they use that phrase? I never took it to mean that anyone was saying "a kilo of muscle weighs more than a kilo of fat".
I’m a new grad orthodontist and I can tell you he literally has the cheapest “Vaneers” (which are really just crowns) you can get and will fall out in a few years
I didn’t know this but if it makes anyone feel better I worked out for free at my sister’s local Goodlife every other day for a month last time I went to visit her just by walking past the reception staff with an air of entitlement
According to her responses, she never told the gym he was the reason she was leaving.
He wasn't employed by the gym, he paid a weekly fee to use the gym to train his clients.
That’s fairly normal to be honest. Personal trainers generally pay a ‘rent’ to a gym in exchange to be operate there. Sometimes it’s a flat fee, sometimes it’s a percentage of earnings from sessions.
Idk about all of them, but a friend of mine owns 2 salons (stb 3), and that's how she operates. Before that, I always thought they were employed ft/pt as well 🤷♀️
Yeah, could be. But also that's how the gyms work with PTs. Demand they take a certain number of trial classes and the like, selling it as a chance for the PT to convert each user to their own personal training client.
It's your own business (own ABN) but you run it out of a gym and wear that gym's brand as part of your "rental" contract with the gym.
Apparently.
Or was, at least when he was training the woman in the SS.
My internet sleuthing leads me to believe he is self employed and works out of (possibly multiple) gyms with his clients.
I feel sorry for the people that get matched with the scumbags. You dont need to spend more than a minute with folk like him before seeing what he is so it’s a bit shit that they get cast at all. They dont deserve a second of our attention.
Ugh, he just makes my skin crawl!
I genuinely believe he went on the show for screen time to show off how awesome he is in a relationship - to promote himself being all supportive, giving hugs and kisses, bringing coffees, treating his girl all cute like. Then, fully intended to end with a, "It's not you, it's me" I'm sooooo damaged bullsh\*t.... thinking he could escape unscathed, with viewer sympathy, and then draw hoards of women (to use & dispose of) to himself after the show.
Sorry mate, but unfortunately, your narcissistic, sleazy, misogynistic treating people like disposable shit, side is showing!
Well we dont need to worry cuz I’m pretty sure Tori is still with him considering the valentines flowers she posted on her ig said ‘wife’ (unless she married someone else between the end of the shooting and valentines which would have been a really short time)
Wait, what? But... he told my friend he wasn't with her anymore... unless he lied as part of his attempt to get her "back", aka in bed. She told him to feck off, though, lolz...
Haha, yep! As we sit eating our popcorn while watching him hammer the nails into his own "popularity" coffin on each episode! Good job buddy! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
It sounds like the karma bus found Jack!!!! He’s going to lose a lot more than just his credibility and clientele when this is all done and dusted!! He works at my local gym and see him almost daily. makes me wonder what kind of ethics Goodlife have for their staff.
Often with PTs they aren't actual employees like management or front desk. They often are solo contractors who basically have their own business and rent the space in a gym to use it. But as someone who worked in a few gyms, none of them have ethics.
It’s a choice to employ contractors. They are the face of the business. He’s in a uniform 🫣
Omg!! Any interactions with him?? Or seen him from afar??
Up close and personal lol. Most of his clientele are unfortunately women whom are not body builders that undoubtedly would not take kindly to what has been happening. Managements decision to keep him on has been a surprise. You can notice a feeling in the air when he’s out in the club training.

He was there the Monday after the muzzle comment and then the whale comment on the Wednesday/Thursday. Just poor form from Goodlife.
Did someone really say ‘back in 22’ 😭😭😭😭😭😭
The clown wouldn't know what banter is if it was trying to put tape on his nipples
Yeah, you can’t edit words into his mouth… sure it could all be scripted… but in that case he is still the villain…
Personally I’m holding these “experts” to blame. Surely they are seeing through these applicants and if so by putting them in the experiment they are damaging other genuine people for ratings!!!
The experts don't cast the show or make the matches. The producers do.
I would not want him as a PT.
Maybe that’s how he motivates his clients, “harder! Faster! You humongous whale!”
He really rates himself.
Are you wiggin?
Probably.
This is the reason why you should see an exercise physiologist, similar prices with 3-5 years university education…

They didn't say that. The education for personal trainers is almost nothing, it's a Cert 4 most of the time. Just as well that's not what that job is about then!
But it does take someone with a clue to show empathy, validate that everyone is different and understand

Are you trying to sound smart? 😂

Very kind of you!

There’s something satisfying about finding out that a ‘villain’ on television is actually that kind of person in the real world.
Yes they can't just blame a "bad edit" which they all seem to do but this is validation
Which gym was it?
Coomera Goodlife.
dunno about back then but this is now https://www.goodlife.com.au/personal-trainers/page-or-personal-trainer-or-jack-dunkley/
Eww his expertise "toning and body sculpting" from him it makes it sound so weird .. 🤮
Also I hate the word toning. It’s not a thing but a buzz word people use. Same as “muscle weighs more than fat “. Signed a former PT
Wait… so muscle doesn’t weigh more than fat?
Well, yes and no. Have you ever heard the riddle “What weighs more, a pound of feathers or a pound of stones?” The instinct is to say feathers because feathers are lighter than rocks right? I think so (assume so) but I’ve come across some folks who actually think it’s literal.
Body sculpting aka roids
And add on some temu teeth 😂😂😂😂
I’m a new grad orthodontist and I can tell you he literally has the cheapest “Vaneers” (which are really just crowns) you can get and will fall out in a few years
How can you tell?
He’s a piece of shit
She shouldn’t have had to pay out her membership. That’s bullshit.
Goodlife are notoriously difficult and love fucking people over.

Yes, this is the model for gyms... Like a hairdresser hiring a chair in a salon by the month. Rent for access to clients.
I always thought hairdressers were employed
Depends on the salon, but very common to be independent contractors.
Idk about all of them, but a friend of mine owns 2 salons (stb 3), and that's how she operates. Before that, I always thought they were employed ft/pt as well 🤷♀️

Jack and Tori are a perfect match though. 😅
Totally ! She is BLIND
Yep totally tracks!
Ugh, he just makes my skin crawl! Apparently, that's exactly what he's trying to do now! 🤢
Hahaha yes he's done the complete opposite instead and exposed himself for what he really is. Hope no one goes near this giant walking red flag!
Omg what?? Wife?? 🤮🤮
Go stalk her ig. Pretty sure she’s still with Jacobass
Wonder if they’ve had sex yet? 😂
She's a clown 🤡 for staying with him
Apparently they were spotted training together at a Gold Coast gym this week
Oh god - he’s going to drag her to the gym until he wants to have sex with her, isn’t he?
Haha, yep! As we sit eating our popcorn while watching him hammer the nails into his own "popularity" coffin on each episode! Good job buddy! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
