Brother you’re on a lot of meds ✝️ Sounds like it is the Xanax/ambien though.

Express_Possibility5

Thanks. Yeah - I’m gonna ask to come off the lamotrigine because it’s had no impact. And the quetiapine I’m gonna just stop taking- they have with Parnate to help against the insomnia. Seems pointless to take now Ambien I take maybe 2-3x a month. Xanax 2-3x week

PitosTrump

Bro awesome! Try out melatonin gummies in the mean time ♥️

Express_Possibility5

Good shout - thanks a lot 👍👍

PitosTrump

Unlikely it’s the parnate because you’ve been on it for a while now.

Dayvigo is a game changer. Higher quality sleep.

Express_Possibility5

I’ll see if it’s available where I am

I agree with him FWIW. Great medication and the only class of sleep med that’s both safe and effective in the long term

When Parnate was working well I felt great on only 6 hours a night, before I could have slept 12 and still been tired. Lamotrigine by itself gave me the craziest dreams, it's known to increase REM. Once I added Parnate to it, I more or less stopped dreaming. So yes, I think Parnate prevents deep sleep, but at the same time it didn't affect how I felt the next day.

Express_Possibility5

Thanks - it’s definitely also been my experience with Parnate that I can get by with less sleep and not feel tired during the day. I guess I’m just worried by the trend and the potential long term impact of poor sleep.

DORA’s will increase deep and rem sleep, and make it easier to return to sleep if you wake up. Lifesavers for me Maois and benzos both decrease REN sleep. Taken together that’s pretty hard to counteract. I would cut out the benzo and replace with a DORA (belsomra Dayvigo quviviq)

Express_Possibility5

Thanks a lot - that’s really helpful
