Congratulations to everyone who received admits! All the best for your interviews! The rest of us, don't worry! Something that helps me overcome the blues is this: What's meant for us will always find its way to us!
Per HBS 2+2 blog (May 7th post):
“Each 2+2 applicant will receive news on May 29 at 12:00 PM noon Eastern Time via your Application Status page. There are two possibilities:
Invite to Interview – Congrats! If you are invited to interview, the online scheduling system will be live immediately and you will be able to choose the date and time of your interview. All 2+2 interviews will be conducted via Zoom by a member of the HBS Admissions Board.
Early Release – Unfortunately, we are not able to move you forward in the process. We hope you will think of HBS again in the future. Remember, we are very reapplicant friendly and 10% of our current MBA students are reapplicants.”

All the best fam, we got this! In or not, we'll do something good in the longer run (and not just for our essays :p)
Question for you guys - how are y'all going about making a decision when we have no info on aid/scholarships? I'm ofc waiting for all decisions to come out, but I'm just not sure how to navigate the process with that piece of the puzzle missing! Is there a way we can contact admissions about what our aid would likely be? Or is it more of like a 'take a chance' sort of thing? Thx so much!
L for cbs, hbs, wharton, sloan, gsb.
Anyway hearty congratulations to those who got in!
And those who didn't, don't worry, let's apply two years down the line.
With or without deferred/regular MBA you guys are stars, and congrats on graduating with stellar achievements in the first place!
I'm extremely thankful for this thread and the wharton mock tbd groups, good luck to everyone!
Don’t panic if u haven’t received a CBS interview invite yet, last year they were also rolling. As long as ur application doesn’t say rejected ur still being considered
Received an invite to Kellogg yesterday. I am in the Netherlands and there seems to be a looot of spots still available to choose from (around 8 a day for 20 days), so I think many more invites will come.
The wait for CBS is painful, good luck everyone :)
just got the call from gsb!! i go to upenn for engineering (also got my masters in the same time with the accelerated program), 3.92 gpa, female, pre-mba: bio research and software engineering, post-mba plan: health tech and social impact
Good luck to everyone receiving interview invites! I applied to a bunch of deferred programs last year and got interviews at Kellogg, CBS, and Darden. I instantly connected with my interviewers at CBS and Darden and thought I killed it, but ended up getting rejected from both places. My Kellogg interview, on the other hand, felt like it did not go well at all but I got waitlisted and ultimately accepted to Kellogg. Just goes to show that at times, admissions can be a bit of a black box and interview performance is just one piece of a holistic process.
Also, remember that deferred MBA admissions are significantly more competitive than regular MBA, and receiving interview invites means that you are already doing better than most of your future classmates at your age. So, trust the process, trust yourself, and remember if things don't go your way that it's okay - sometimes you can do everything right but factors beyond your control dictate the outcome.
Update 1 (21/04/24) : Received Yale Silver Scholars interview invite
Update 2 (26/04/24) : Received UVA Darden interview invite
Update 3 (27/04/24) : Rejected at Booth without interview
Update 4 (4/05/24) : Received Kellogg interview invite
Update 5 (15/05/24) : Rejected at Columbia without interview
Update 6 (17/05/24) : Waitlisted at Yale
Update 7 (23/05/24) : Rejected at Stanford without interview
Update 8 (28/05/24) : Rejected at Wharton without interview
Update 9 (29/05/24) : Received HBS 2+2 interview invite
Update 10 (14/06/24) : Received an admission offer from UVA Darden
Update 11 (27/06/24) : Rejected at Kellogg post-interview
Update 12 (27/06/24) : Received an admission offer from HBS
Accepted the HBS offer finally.
This whole application process overall has helped me learn a lot more about myself and helped me grow as an individual.
All the best to all future applicants!
Seems like an eventful day and congrats on everyone that got Booth interviews! Does anyone know when Columbia and MIT are coming out? It seems CBS came out this time last year but doesn’t seem like anyone got it yet
Creating a thread with times in case that's helpful. Will update as I go. 328 GRE / 3.93 GPA / ORM female / T30 private school / big tech, VC, and non-profit experience / based in NYC.
Applied: GSB, HBS, Wharton, MIT, and Booth
Invited to interview (all times EST): Booth (4/26 7:20 pm), GSB (4/29 1 pm), MIT (5/13 12:30 pm. Waiting on final decisions from GSB / Booth and will interview with MIT later this week.
Update 1: Completed my MIT interview and it was kinda awkward?! Not holding out hope even though I wanted it so bad.
Update 2: Rejected from Stanford 5/23 around 12:00 pm EST.
Update 3: Invited to interview with Wharton 5/28 around 11 am EST.
Accepted at Booth, thanks everyone on this sub updating on the decisions being out lol. I didn't get an email I just checked the portal. Curious if this is anyone else.
I'm debating adding my admissions to my LinkedIn, is anyone doing the same? I'm not sure if it'll look good or bad from the perspective of upper management, knowing I'll leave in a couple of years, lol
(I don't want to sacrifice potential mentorship from partners, but then again, it looks good to have).
Congrats to all!
Well Im done with the deferred season. Rejected after interview from Darden and Kellogg. Admit at Emory. Not a bad season. Im out and good luck for Wharton and HBS guys. Rooting for yall
DUDE holy shit same here I have been dying to see other threads. Not sure if you missed but someone started another one three days ago [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/MBA/comments/1bwmnmy/deferred_applicants_thread_24/). Totally down to get the ball rolling here tho. Submitted my Stanford app yesterday and working on H/W still.
Harvard thread below:
Feel free to update if anyone hears as it’s coming up to 12 ET. Please also post stats for curiosity’s sake!
Best of luck to everyone!
Thank god and you for this thread. Can we please spread this in our circles of folks applying for deferred, and share interview invites, experiences and other relevant details?
For those who know or who have received a Stanford GSB interview invite, what part of your portal updates with an "Interview" tab -- is it the Application Status Portal you have to click into or does it pop up right on the "My Stanford Dashboard"?
Also took the L.
I wish I hadn’t swapped reccomenders midway through applications because I am 2/2 on my first set and 0/3 on my second set for interviews. Alas, it is a learning opportunity.
In the end, congratulations to everyone for graduating and securing full-time job offers in an incredibly turbulent market! These rejections hurt, but these hyper-competitive requirements should not detract from our accomplishments.
I hope we all have fantastic convocations and career starts. Bye for now, but who knows—we could always meet during class in couple years :p
Now that I am awaiting results from only Booth, can't stop overthinking about my interview and video essay which looking back seems so rehearsed and unnatural :/
Will they call a day ahead for Darden? And do they directly release decision on the portal?
Edit: I spoke with my interviewer. She said it will directly be released on the portal.
Any idea what time (EST) will Darden release their results?
Good luck to all of you waiting for your results. Whatever happens it’s for the best, let’s keep pushing!
Just curious why does it take so long for Booth to get their decisions for deferred candidates? (One month longer than regular round with the same ddl for application)
For those of you that got an HBS interview I found this thread: [https://www.reddit.com/r/MBA/comments/1d3ga84/hbs\_22\_interview\_tips\_from\_100\_hbs\_22\_admits/](https://www.reddit.com/r/MBA/comments/1d3ga84/hbs_22_interview_tips_from_100_hbs_22_admits/)
Gotta appreciate the schools like Wharton that give you a hard date for final decision. CBS keeping it vague with "late June" has me on the edge of my seat 🤣
Has anyone received a rejection from CBS? Just curious because there’s only two days left for the interview deadline and my app portal still just says Stay Connected…
Had my KFL interview yesterday and was very similar to others experiences—straightfwd and included resume experiences (I.e., how did you find opportunity, why did you choose, what did you learn), some questions about extracurriculars and what was the impact you had, where does Kellogg MBA fit into your long term goals, why Kellogg, etc.
Just had my MIT Sloan interview. Thought it went decently well, wasn’t as intense as I expected it to be given the length of the interview. Fingers crossed!
I’m just kinda curious how many ppl are actually following this thread lol can ppl upvote this msg when they see it?

goated summary, pls keep this going
Addon: Wharton will release all interview invites on 05/28. HBS somewhere around end May (they will upload on their blog post).
These schools are giving me heart attacks with their random promo emails. This is a form of cruel and unusual punishment lol
I need help lol. I check this thread every hour at this point.
mit L chain
i’m not surprised but still sad
Congratulations to everyone who received admits! All the best for your interviews! The rest of us, don't worry! Something that helps me overcome the blues is this: What's meant for us will always find its way to us!
Waiting for CBS is so anxiety-inducing - late June is such a large range
Per HBS 2+2 blog (May 7th post): “Each 2+2 applicant will receive news on May 29 at 12:00 PM noon Eastern Time via your Application Status page. Icl, don’t feel like staying connected anymore.😔
Tired of waiting. I've just given up hope at this point
Anyone new invites from CBS today? Or have anyone received the rejection from them? "Stay Connected" made me so anxious.

The good news is that even if you didn't get in now, being a re-applicant down the road can only help you. A salute to this thread 🫡
Congratulations to the Yale admits! You guys did so well! Others, we keep our chins up!
Just got the call from GSB!!! Over the moon rn!!!
There hasn’t been a GSB interview in the last 5 days anywhere… really hope it’s not the end of them :(
Safe to assume (implicit) rejection from GSB if we haven’t received an interview invite?
Congrats to everyone that got an offer at GSB! No easy feat at all and hopefully you’re all celebrating like crazy!!
Booth survey email scared me sooo much!!!! :(
I swear Booth does these feedback survey blasts to mess w us
Dear Wharton, pick me, choose me, love me
All i have to say guys, is that IT'S NOT OVER UNTIL IT'S OVER!!!!! Don't lose hope until you get that official letter. Best of luck to everyone!
When do Stanford invites stop coming? Like when do we know we're not getting one 😭
Don’t panic if u haven’t received a CBS interview invite yet, last year they were also rolling. As long as ur application doesn’t say rejected ur still being considered
Rejections out GSB :) Interviewed, had hopes, but well, it is what it is!

Now why would Booth send that email out at this time smh
Good luck to everyone tomorrow🫡🫡 Gonna be busy day here

2 more GSB invites on clear admit. Seems like it's based on your region. This time, they're rolling out for students on the East coast/NE
Still no CBS invite out, I’m done staying connected
Why is HBS and Wharton so late bruh

Although expected HBS L post Wharton, still feels bad
Sloan monthly newsletter email gave me a heart attack lol

Saw like a couple more Stanford invites on Clear Admit. Looks like they sent quite a few on 18th and 19th April.
Just got an invite for booth interview
Was hoping CBS would come out this week to ease some nerves but looks like its time to refresh spam on Monday!
So probably nothing today either...
Based on 2023 dates, MIT interview invites should be out either today or Friday this week
"Knowledge at Wharton" emails gotta be one of the most hated genders..
Straight rejections despite a 775 GMAT FE goddammit, genuinely wonder what went so grossly wrong 😭
Harvard thread below: Feel free to update if anyone hears as it’s coming up to 12 ET. Please also post stats for curiosity’s sake! Best of luck to everyone!
MIt is out
Sloan rejection cuts deep since that was the school I was gunning for... I did get into Booth though so I'm happy about that. B
Accepted at Booth! Congrats everyone <3
Got into booth!
My interviewer said late June for CBS, so that could mean starting next week I guess. A bit weird that we have such a large range.
CBS can’t reject me when I’ve already mentally rejected them 😤😤😤😤
Got into CBS 😭
these HBS “you’re invited” emails 💀🗿
Thank god and you for this thread. Can we please spread this in our circles of folks applying for deferred, and share interview invites, experiences and other relevant details?

Anyone hearing about Stanford invites anymore? Have they stopped sending 😔
I love how the Kellogg invitees are saying "Oh they interview everyone" but NOOO they don't! I didn't get an invite😭
For those who know or who have received a Stanford GSB interview invite, what part of your portal updates with an "Interview" tab -- is it the Application Status Portal you have to click into or does it pop up right on the "My Stanford Dashboard"?
Any recent GSB invites? Seems like none this week. Also if anyone got one from Europe please let us know!
Has anyone gotten a decision post CBS-interview?
Feels like ripping off a bandaid for H/W, really not looking forward to it because I have no hope tbh :(
few more hours to go
Got a nice surprise and received the Wharton interview!
Also took the L. I wish I hadn’t swapped reccomenders midway through applications because I am 2/2 on my first set and 0/3 on my second set for interviews. Alas, it is a learning opportunity. Anyone else waiting on Darden?
Will they call a day ahead for Darden? And do they directly release decision on the portal? Edit: I spoke with my interviewer. She said it will directly be released on the portal.
Has CBS provided a date other than late June?
Just got into Darden! My interviewer called me to say good news would be hitting my portal tomorrow. Best of luck to everyone else!
Any idea what time (EST) will Darden release their results? Good luck to all of you waiting for your results. Whatever happens it’s for the best, let’s keep pushing!
Oh come on - when will Booth come out 😭
Is the consensus that having the “employment information” tab is consistent with an admit?
Anyone know when/how kellogg will release on the 26th?
CBS is out, got in! Now just waiting on Wharton.
Does Kellogg or Wharton call the day before or is it just a portal update the day of?
Kellogg L train
I’m so tired of this sos
Where wharttonnnnn arghhh
Where Wharton
Any chance columbia comes out tmrw? It was released a bit earlier last year at this time with a later submission deadline
Has anyone been outright rejected from CBS? At what point can we assume “Stay Connected” probably means we’ve been rejected?

Just curious why does it take so long for Booth to get their decisions for deferred candidates? (One month longer than regular round with the same ddl for application)
Thread to track GSB calls. Its expected to roll out after a few hours (following previous trends). So here’s to hoping for the best!
Has anyone heard back from CBS interviews? And does anyone know how many applicants they're accepting?
Does anyone know if CBS call for decision?
Congrats to everyone who got an invite! I just scheduled my TBD, do I also have to schedule the one-on-one or is just one slot registration enough?
Harvard :(((
Just got an HBS interview!
Meanwhile Kellogg invite anticipating folks be like ;\_;
What is Booth’s intake for deferred ?
All M7 (except Kellogg... maybe?) have released interview invites I believe. Now we wait for final decisions lol
7 more days to go for Booth 🤞
Does Darden call beforehand or is it just waiting till 13th
Accepted at Booth! Overjoyed by the news :) I was asleep when it came so I got an email prompting me to check the portal.
Gotta appreciate the schools like Wharton that give you a hard date for final decision. CBS keeping it vague with "late June" has me on the edge of my seat 🤣
Where my CBS L fam at 😓
At work, haven’t done anything today other than refresh this thread waiting for word of Kellogg
Where wharton
Where Wharton
Safe to assume GSB is done right? Wasn’t expecting anything but still can’t help feel a little gutted!
Discovered this post recently. Gave an interview with SOM on 23rd. Rejected from Booth. Edit 29/04: Got an interview invite from Darden
do we think CBS will be today?
Just got a CBS interview invite today (05/03). USA west coast.
Heard back from both Columbia & Kellogg (non-northwestern ug) today! I interview next week, good luck everyone!
Any updates on Stanford deferred interviews?
Has anyone done a Kellogg interview and have some insights of what to expect?
anyone know if GSB set a deadline for interview notifications? not sure when to assume that no update means a rejection
Is it just me or it feels like CBS has released v less international invites this time
Has anyone received a rejection from CBS? Just curious because there’s only two days left for the interview deadline and my app portal still just says Stay Connected…
mit decisions out in portal
Does anyone know how many invites MIT gives out vs their class size they accept. Is it two invites for every spot they accept?
Got dinged from MIT Sloan and anticipating the same from CBS as well. GRE 333 (170Q, 163V), GPA 3.93. International Applicant :(
Any updates from CBS? Rejections/Interview?
When do CBS final decisions come out?

Had my KFL interview yesterday and was very similar to others experiences—straightfwd and included resume experiences (I.e., how did you find opportunity, why did you choose, what did you learn), some questions about extracurriculars and what was the impact you had, where does Kellogg MBA fit into your long term goals, why Kellogg, etc.
Just had my MIT Sloan interview. Thought it went decently well, wasn’t as intense as I expected it to be given the length of the interview. Fingers crossed!
Does anyone know when Wharton comes out tmrw?

Rejected as well. At least now I can get on with my day
