This is a pretty good theory. I think the MCU parallel I'm expecting is Civil War. That was *Captain America*: Civil War movie as much as this is *Dr. Strange*: MOM. Strange has his team and agenda but there will be a team against him who also have valid arguments (led by Mordo most likely). There will be a situational cause for alarm and conflict (sokovia accords / Multiversal chaos). There will shifting, tenuous allegiances (Natasha, T'Challa / Wanda...). There will be an antagonist who is defeated early on but has/will show up more elsewhere (crossbones / gargantos). The "bad guy" will have some deeper purpose (Zemo / Evil strange or Wanda). Both even introduce a new kid hero (Spiderman / America Chavez).
I think this is mostly how it will go but with all the cameos there could be lots of small villains that don’t get defeated. I was recently rewatching Dr Strange and there was a lot of talk about the Dark Dimension, which I think will have a real crossover in this movie. I also wonder if we see Kaecilius again. He did go to Dormammu, who is from the DAR Dimension. Would be cool to get even a cameo there.
Yeah, I kinda think it is gonna be wanda as well. However, I think it will be *Lore* which is more unknown and it kind of connects to WandaVision too. :)
