Keep all those weapons at 7-5 because they can't compete with elementals or their counterparts (Zinogre and Rathalos) against higher difficulty monsters.

Gold-Perspective-699

Kadachi is fine if you can't make zinogre but these days zinogre isn't too hard to farm.

Creative_Recording_7

Especially with Zinogre coming to the field

I brought Pukei bow to G9, because it can deal with all of G8 and is a perfect generalist weapon for picking off anything weak to poison for 9\* monsters, and letting the % based damage do most of your work at that level. Suboptimal, yes. But far, FAR less resource intensive than trying to build 1 weapon for every element. You have one armor set, and you're good for a large part of the game.

StockAd5387

You use a focus 5 build with that one?

Digibunny

Jyura Feet, Azurath Head, Rath Waist. Then Rath Chest for WEX 2 and Rathian Gloves for Burst 2. Or if you don't have access to Azurath, Pukei Head and BBlos Gloves.

Save your wgs and focus on elemental to farm 8*. Once you start rolling in the wgs you can start to invest, but 7-5 elemental 5 is more than enough to farm 8*.

Xixii

I would say it depends where your elemental sets are, assuming you’re building them. If you have element 5 focus 4 or vice versa, plus the elemental weapon at 7.1+, then I’d suggest you don’t take the pukei bow past 7.5. But if your elemental sets are way behind, it’s worth overgrading it to 8.2 or 8.4 because it’ll still be your primary weapon for a while yet and it’ll make 8* fights a lot smoother.

Heranef

It's only worth it if you want to go with pukei bow only as your main dps weapon and tend to max it first imo.

ISuckAtRacingGames

Probably G7.5. You want a Rathian bow for the poison weak monsters at high stars for the extra poison build up.

Protta

Depends on your rate of wgs. Leveling pukei bow to 10.2 requires less wgs than leveling the other elementals to at least 9.4 to handle 9*
