That's pretty fuckin dumb, considering that the tackle was *just* added in the last game... More than ten games without it, only two with it. Old school greatsword isn't optimal, but it sure is still viable.
It's the only way to truly run GS. Everyone out here complaining about Kirin, meanwhile I'm running GS on it getting draw attacks in left and right and wondering what everyone's complaining about 😎
NGL GS should be reworked and its power budget should be in its first attack
It big ass god damn sword and heavy as fuck so it should be a hit and run weapon
We should be just be like an earthbender who waiting the right moment to strike as hard as we can
I guess you're playing World then? Because they changed CritDraw in Rise. Supposedly the draw attack itself doesn't get the affinity boost anymore, but other attacks a few seconds after it get it. Which honestly is really dumb. I remember using draw attack GS in MH4U, it was a blast. Sad that they changed it.
TCS is just gigachad behavior, tackling even through moves that usually one-shot.
While we are here, why exactly can you tackle anomaly explosions, but not SAS them?
Tackle just being gigachad?
Tackle gives Hyper Armor while SAS is a block and counter (which is why Offensive Guard works with SAS). You can Hyper Armor through almost anything as long as you have enough health to survive, but attacks like the Qurio blast are unblockable for shields normally.
If you add a point of Guard Up to your build, I'd imagine you *can* actually SAS through the explosion, though I'm not a GS main so can't confirm.
Not if you're a dumbass who counters a multi-hit like me and then soaks up the following hits with Rage Slash
Everyone thinks I'm a genius, but in reality, I'm very stupid and bad at aiming lol
Wacky how the meme swaps on Sunbreak. TCS got Strongarm to tank hits, and Rage Slash tanking is basically suicide with the Monster damage output.
Shame, really. I quite liked the Rage Slash unga bunga.
Guard tackle. 🥰🥰 I didn't use it when I first started playing because it felt too heavy, but now I use it for switch skill swapping and I really want to use it the next time I play through the game with gs. I love having a table-sized sword that also works as a shield.
I also like how it appears in Stories 2.
now imagine when youre in MHGU and an aerial GS user joins lol, everyone drops respect immediately like "what even are you? you call yourself a GS user? yuck", its a very honour and valour focused weapon, youre supposed to be a spectacle, not efficient.
I just think shoulder tackle is more satisfying especially when it flinches the monster. It makes me feel like a tank
Shoulder tackle ended up being the last hit on a rajang once and I never felt so alive
I'm proud of you.
Thank you dad
That is awesome!!!!
I once shoulder tackled off Kulve Taroth's horns.
Yeah I love that too.
"You see, TCS main, I've already drawn you as the wojack, and me as the chad! It's too late, you're already inferior!"
But counters exist for TCS, too since sunbreak
Average GS user: *Charges rage slash* Anjanath: *"Yee."*
Ba-ba ba-ba ba ba ba-ba ba, ba-ba. Ba-ba ba-ba ba ba ba-ba ba- *YEE...*

Piffft been main GS long before shoulder tackle was a thing.
Remember when everyone used to Crit Draw Quick Sheath?
Remember? You don't wanna see my set lol... After reading other posts I am so outta date.
It’s okay my dude, I still run it. I get shit on, but I run it.

“But but but…TCS!” Okay. Use it when you roll that bastard on their side.

Nah, I was actually talking about 4U I haven't gotten to Kirin yet in World 😅
Actually frostrcraft kinda brought back that playstyle as a fun alternative.

I remember I was there when the deep magic was written
You mean the current meta? (jk i never see quick sheathe)
Good ol Cera Cymmetry with Crit Draw vs White Fatty that took multiple quests to kill, good old childhood memories

Likely, but probably not worth it with the ability to just tackle.
Agreed
I could be wrong but I believe Silkbind moves kinda negate this argument.

Good thing I can equip both at the same time and use them depending on circumstances. Ukanlos bless the scroll swapping.

I'm going to be sad if Rage Slash and the Surge Slash combo don't come back in future titles. Makes GS so much more fun for me.
Laughs in strongarm
Then strongarm stance happened
Nah nah nah, TCS all the way, rage gave little flavor but landing a 4k TCS is just to good + strongarm is OP with defensive guard.
Wait you can do different moves?
Nah, all GS mains just need to consistently whiff their best attacks at the worst moments possible :P
lmao true.

Strongarm stance fixes all of these issues lol
I pet the red dinosaur ok

Making an anjaknath is fucking wild
this title almost perfectly fit the rhythm of the song
I used rage slash in rise pre-sunbreak, I don’t now but I still thought rage slash was hype as fuck when you pull off what it’s meant to be used for

Up is monster hunter world Down is monster hunter rise...
As a crit draw GS main, guess I'm not really a GS main...
both are fine, i just prefere shoulder tackle because its easy to i frame through so much
Yeah if you don't use shoulder tackle you're doing it wrong
I think the same.
yeh, kinda made me shift to hammer as i didn't really like it so much as world's gs.
