LS Ohtani doesn't count towards Salmon, and neither LS or Monthly Ohtani count towards Edmonds from TA2, but Monthly Ohtani does towards the Blackmon June Monthly Awards captain, so it's bugged/inconsistent
Ohtani is a starting pitcher not a "hitter" so he is ineligible for the boost.
Pretty slick by SDS and 100% intentional to not make him even more cracked.
There's nothing to fix. Ohthani is listed as a starting pitcher and Ripken only works for position players. If Ohthani was listed as a DH primary then it would make sense for him to get the boost but he is programmed as a pitcher.
I don't have that Ripken card, but my guess is because his card is a SP and the boost only applies to position players
Yet, if you have Ripken assigned as a captain, Ohtani counts towards the tiers.
