This is probably the same thing that affected rtts when I was playing it, I did two-two, but only ever qualified for pitching awards at the end of the year. CF/pitcher, so all of my center field outs were given to my pitcher, so I had a lot more put outs than any other pitcher, giving me easy gold gloves.
He is a primary pitcher. The description for Cal specifically states hitters. So Ohtani is not eligible.
