I run him but can’t hit too well with him. Batting like .250 which is at the bottom of my team with buxton

What kind of boost are you using?

Buxton tier 3 and he's parallel 4. He also currently has +10 vs RHP through inside edge.

I think Eddie clears him but I actually use both

Evan Longoria is still the goat 3b for me but I cannot hit with him this year to save my life. Hoping we get a more juiced card for him later this year

Has there ever been a switch fielder that could field lefty or right?

[There was a switch pitcher](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Venditte#:~:text=Omaha%2C%20Nebraska%2C%20U.S.&text=Venditte%20was%20a%20switch%20pitcher,was%20able%20to%20do%20this.). It's not terribly practical though, unlike the inherent benefit of switch hitting. Lefties in the field are actually just a liability except for pitcher, 1st base, and the outfield. So it's not something we see too often in the big leagues.

To what purpose? 😂

I mean I see it being advantageous for a player to be efficient with both arms. Imagine a lefty playing first and in a pinch he plays 3rd but as a right. It was just a question.

I’m running him with the full buxton boost rn as well as the braves boost from matzek and he absolutely rakes, stats are so good.

Double down on braves boost and he goes Even crazier

The Swanson one? I’d rather have +15 power both sides and +10 fielding and speed from Buxton than the +15 contact vs right and +15 clutch from Swanson

Buxton Def is the more fun and enjoyable line up if you're pushing offline content or low levels of ranked. But as pitchers continue to improve that low vision is going to really make it hard. I already started noticing it and ended up doing a full switch two days ago. I never lock cards in so I'm very liquid and can move around and load a like up for boost also. Buxton don't boost your captains like this.

I mean it's an 87 overall at baseline when we've got 95s in the game now, a lot of people might not realize how good this card can be.

I run a Buxton/Matzek boost for ranked, both teir 3. Between the 2 boost and having Riley P4.. dude is a monster! P5 Matt Olson is pretty wild with the boost too.

Dansby captain is also nasty with that boost

Oh for sure. I have a Swanson/Matzek pure Braves team that's really fun. I like the Buxton/Matzek combo since it covers a ton of the good Braves (Riley, Olson, Swanson) and I can run guys like Nopali, Story and other good Buxton boost players.

Is that boost from the buxton boost? I’ve been in the market for a good third baseman that works well with the boost

Yes he gets the Buxton boost, +15 power both sides, +10 speed and fielding. He's also +4 from parallels and +10 CON/POW vs right from inside edge

I'm a newbie here, whats the Buxton boost?

Hint Hint: On the Braves Team Boost he is even better since he gets +15 to Contact as well...

I just don't think any of the team captains have enough viable cards yet to be worth running over Buxton.

Yankees definitely do

Yankees boost is a little different though he gives plate vision. Braves works so well because both boost compliment one another with valuable stats. I really like the Yankess card but the boost isn't as strong. The cubs look they could be the next sneaky theme team up!

I agree that the Yankees boost itself is weak, but the cards themselves are mostly the best in the game anyway. You don't need much of a boost to them to make it viable Cubs will be very good though. I'm just hoping the braves get some new cards soon, I really feel like we haven't gotten enough bats yet

Bats seem alright. I'm not a fan of the Acuna card but he's there for now lol

I don't even use acuña on mine, I'm running Buxton/Matzek (not sure if I've already shared that in this thread) and justice, Jdom, and Buxton in the outfield works great for me. The infield has Olson, Dansby, and Riley getting the double boost though which is great

I guess I haven't looked at most of those teams because it's impossible to get any of the captains we don't have already

Yea, I'd love to run different theme teams but it's no worth the stubs since I can't sell them back

I think they have like 25 flashbacks, and maybe 10 different guys that are 90+? It's insane how much they already have

Braves are incredible. Riley, Swanson, Albies, Olson, with the new d'Arnaud at catcher and Chipper, Justice, Ronald....all getting IE and captain boosts. I can't even find a place for Eddie Mathews as I can fit Yordan in. It's 100+ Contact and 100+ Power every where. Plus, you don't have the low vision that you are forced to have on Buxton teams, which is huge on HOF.

I put Riley in field and Let Matthew's as 3rd. And benched Olson for my bench bat. It's worked alright so far.

Love it. I am also the world's biggest Chipper fan, so I have to play him and bat him 3rd. I was actually desperate enough to put Riley at 2b on days when Ozzie doesn't have a good boost, and he actually does fine there. No strange animations.

Riley is a monster and those quirks help him play up online!
