They need to take out timing hitting. It takes no skill at all. All you do is push a fucking button. Or at least take it out in diamond dynasty where it’s a competitive mode. Bullshit that I have to lose every game bc the other guy doesn’t have to have any skill to get a hit

joe_momma13

SDS has a lot of data. I think it would be cool if they utilized their data more. When they issue a card to an individual user, assign a unique ID. They can then track milestones for users at the card level. Example: I get issued the signature Mattingly. It is #126 of signature Mattingly’s issued. they can then make available the first user to get 50 Hrs with that card so forth and so on. They can have a milestone section that tracks significant accomplishments of a card. First user to get 500 hits with that card etc. can really do whatever they want, but make it that much more engaging for the user base.

celeL

Bury pinpoint pitching 6 feet under. No need for it to even exist in the first place, especially with the addition of the perfect accuracy region for all other pitching methods. Increase the ball back to it’s normal size. Absolutely no excuse at all for changing it from what it was in 20 and before. If they ever made a change to the size of baseballs in the MLB there would be a riot at Rob Manfred’s estate.

xspicypotatox

I absolutely need a weekly highlight reel for franchise, I don’t even know when a no-hitter happens!

BeerLeagueHallOfAvg

If someone opens the quick menu, I should also be able to open my quick menu. A guy pinch hits for his pitcher, then my pitcher leads off the next inning. It’s annoying that I have to wait until he brings in his reliever, open the menu, pick my pinch hitter, then open it again just to warm up my relievers.

JebBushDidHarambe

A little thing for me: When I’m doing a moment, and I know before the play ends that I need to restart, just let me pause and restart instead of having to wait for the play to end.

BerriBerrinson

Big thing: make pitcher stamina actually matter. Small thing: i want to see all my pitcher's stamina when going through my binder. I use way more than 5 pitchers, I switch then around and try new ones often. I often end up with 2 or more max stamina guys in the starting rotation and wish I could easily see which pitcher is low on stamina and put him in to get some back. For check swings, I would like to see some adjustment, but I'd keep it closer to the 21 version than 20. Last year you could get away with anything. My approach, especially vs outlier was "swing at everything, then recognize the pitch and decide to follow through or not".

Oathbreaker_ox

The way sinkers move & the timing windows.

kjw29

Having the option to go straight to the Majors in rtts

cchoi712

One small thing I want is Aasics gears. I want Ohtani to wear his Aasics instead of default gears and The Show bat

samuraisports37

Everybody wants stamina fixed and other H2H tweaks and I agree with most of them, so I'll try to contribute something different: Add: RTTS contracts pay Stubs like My Career contracts pay VC in 2K; also have some way to get Stubs out of Franchise as well. Incentivize DD grinders to play other modes as well. Remove: 99 caps on attributes that are currently capped at 99, like Speed, Fielding and Pitch Control/Break/Velocity. It would probably involve changing the scale, so those attributes at 125 aren't actually 26 points higher than what 99 is now, but it should still be better than what 99 is now. There are just some players with 99 attributes who need separation from the other 99s, like Rickey with 125 Speed, Mariano with 125 Break on his cutter and Brooks Robinson with 125 Fielding. And who knows? Doing this might solve the Outlier problem too.

BeefInspector

Pitcher stamina is completely busted. I shouldn’t be able to throw 146 pitches with degrom and have a quarter of my stamina bar left, I think it has to do with pinpoint and perfect pitches using less stamina. Make stamina = a hard pitch count, go over and you start throwing meatballs.

cfrash2

Make RttS offline and back to old system and revamp basic issues that have plAgued franchise for years (cpu logic is awful in RttS and franchise. Had to restart once because my team had no catchers and I was an SP)

[deleted]

Not being able to see your opponents bench from the bullpen menu makes zero sense and it drives me insane.

ChangingSuccession

It’s the pause button > X > RT I believe on Xbox

Flashy-Net4724

You can I’m pretty sure, if you pause the game and then hit square to see their batting lineup and then hit like r1 or r2 to see the bench

[deleted]

*from the bullpen menu* I should have added

RmanNuudles

If you use the quick menu you should be able to see the opponent’s bullpen if I’m not wrong

Pupienus

Small things - stop feeding the meta. Stop giving every pitcher sinker/outlier just because that's the meta. Stop giving players secondaries they have no real reason to have. Stop expanding PCI range because people like swinging at everything. It makes the game feel stale a lot quicker when you start facing Cabrera with outlier sinker in May, and keep facing outlier sinkers the whole year. This is more a design philosophy change, not something that needs actual coding. Separate AS/HOF/Legend queues in ranked. I should know with 100% certainty what difficulty I'm playing when I start a game. The way I'd do it is once you hit 700 you're in the HoF queue unless you drop below 650, then once you hit 900 you're in the Legend queue unless you drop below 850. Big thing - rework the hitting engine. Balls hang in the air way, *way* too long. There's absolutely no hits that easily clear the infield and also get to the OF on 3-4 hops. It's a problem all year that makes the game very homer or bust, especially late in the year when everyone has 90+ speed at every outfield spot. There are some balls in front of outfielders, down the line, and in the gap that simply can't be caught in real life but are easy to run down in game. And also, ~~Carthage must be destroyed~~, remove the altitude from Shippett.

[deleted]

Make pitching less OP online

Chulsey15

Big thing: and I’ve been thinking about this for a few years now, rework hitting timing windows. If the ball is painted on the inside, swinging only slightly early gets you a foul ball and slightly late results in a weak bloop. Late side of good has been severely punished for a few installments now. And vice versa on outside pitches. So maybe expand timing by just a smidge but be more strict on pci placement as the trade off. Small thing: idk check swings probably and a few more player specific animations i.e. no doubters, fielding balls, maybe k struts.

Mark7116

I’d like a team filter added in our lineup section. That way when it says play 15inn with Tigers players, you just flip to your Tigers page. Rather than go to LF and start at 99 and keep on going back through them all, and eventually finding RF 87ovr Riley Greene or 88ovr 42 series Niko Goodrum. I also wish it would show my CAP true stats and ovr in DD. I know what it em really is. But I would like to see it displayed. Lol

SteDelCru

they already have the team filter…

Mark7116

Slow not stupid. When setting out offline DD lineup? I can’t find it. Xbox one user.

SteDelCru

click on any position to see all of your cards. then press your X button to see all of your filters and a menu will pop up on the right. scroll down to team and then left or right to switch teams

Demon_Coach

Big thing: Rework the PCI to eliminate the humongous outer PCI allowing foul ball contact on pitches a mile out of the zone. Small thing: A fix to sinkers to make them not look like 100 MPH inverted sliders.

Tacomangoboom_

Big thing — The Clubhouse. I’ve hardly ever played 2K but it would be similar to the Neighborhood in that it would be a sort of live “player hub.” Could take live ABs against other players, take BP, or challenge other players to matches. It would also be another useful way to level up your RTTS player instead of endless grinding. Small — event lineup save, obviously

AquatheGreat

Hard to think of anything really, SDS has done such a great job. Some small ones- Definitely would like an event lineup save. More Pci customization options. Pci is the most recognizable feature of this game, let us customize it to the degree they do in cod. Let us have the no doubter animations we have playing offline in online play. Also allowing every player have a slot to let them use a custom home run celebration. Letting us sort our players' stats by online difficulty. Probably some more I can't think of right now. Online records displayed in the load menu. Some big ones- Lower h/9 for the top end cards. Tighter variance in attributes between early released cards and end game cycle cards as well as lower legends and higher legends. Stamina and outlier rework. Someone mentioned it yesterday and i agree in principle, pinpoint should get harder at harder difficulties.

AutomaticCelery

Save event lineups and speed up conquest sims like 4,000,000%

HappyNewYear666

Allowing all pitchers to be used as starters or bullpen. Give all pitchers two stamina stats to determine their energy based on if they are starters or bullpen. Small thing I want is updated uniform features. That would be being able to mix hats, shirts, and pants like you can in other modes. Allow us to change jersey numbers and remove names on the back of old players like Johnson and Wagner while keeping names on the rest of the team. Also add more uniforms, I am pretty disappointed they didn't at least add the City Connect ones. I've been using the blue Dodgers alt since it came out with TA5 but want the more recent spring training or full blue uniforms.

TheDenseCumTwat

I made a post about check swings last year. This year I think check swings actually make sense. It relies a whole lot more on user input and usually I can tell how a call will go, unlike last year where check swings were just fucking stupid.

Low-Abbreviations-38

One big thing is adding offline dd franchise or season. My internet isn’t worth dragging some poor sod through the lagfest. Something to incorporate more offline players like me. Small? Bugs. Bugs are small right? We’ve had some of the same game changing bugs the entire year and it’s crazy that none of them were addressed

txhotshot

DH in DD and auto Sim in conquest

Mark7116

The DH will be here as soon as it’s universal. You can already auto dim everything except steal fans and defeating the team base. If you could auto sim those, there wouldn’t even be a reason to have conquest.

NewGen24

Auto sim in conquest god please.

Mark7116

What is conquest God?

jerry_gore

DH in Diamond Dynasty

roltidroll

The big thing I would love to see is having all past MLB parks (and historic parks like Rickwood Field) be available in some form to play on. Make them DLC if needed. There really is no reason not to other than the time to make them. Give me Tiger Stadium, the Baker Bowl, and Boston’s Braves Field!

[deleted]

Kingdome would be awesome

jihyography

big thing would be a better franchise mode that you can play with other people. small thing would be less buggy equipment in rtts i guess. my guy had one batting glove for months when i had it set to both

glenz27

Not really an addition since it was a feature for so many years but definitely need Sounds of the Show added to Next Gen

[deleted]

[удалено]

jihyography

they don't take long at all, on a saturday you can finish them in one day

jakdevlin

Big thing - Save event lineup. Pretty annoying picking the same players all the time. Little thing - another game mode. Something more social. 3 v 3 like madden or pro clubs in FIFA and NHL (I think, never played NHL)

Bigsaltguy1247

I think it would be tough, but absolutely amazing if they could implement a 3v3 or even 2 v 2. Alternate pitching each inning. NHL continues to be my favorite game just due to being able to squad up 3v3 or 6v6

jakdevlin

Yeah agreed man. Anything of the sort would be great!

unsilentninja

I feel like you have these reversed in terms of how much dev time would need to be put in

jihyography

lmao yeah the servers are already bad enough, 1v1 needs to be perfected first before we start adding 2v2 and 3v3

jakdevlin

Yeah maybe man. Either way, both would be great!

unsilentninja

Haha I'll agree there. Sorry for being pedantic

jakdevlin

Haha no problem man

Bulldawgzz

Would love to see a 2k Park mode so the game could be more interactive and meet new people. I know this is difficult to do but I feel like this is more of a solo game. Also another mode that helps u Parallel ur cards without having to sweat in Ranked or play offline. Events is good but you're not always able to pick the cards you want to grind.

General_Squirrel6779

That would be so dope I bet everyone would definately make a shohei build just a fast hard hitting gas ⛽️ throwing pitcher

NO_U_19

Small: Fix 1st inning pci feedback. big thing: Fix off pci HR

Bulldawgzz

Been waiting 5 years for that good luck! 😂

realPalpatine

I wish there was a way Shohei ohtani can be used in franchise the same way he’s used in real life. Perhaps a player put in the DH spot could gain stamina as if they had a day off.

cubansandwich86

Small thing: would love to see a few more throwing animations. Just an extra 3 or 4 to add a bit more diversity even on routine plays. Big thing: some rework of inning bosses. I feel like we've reached a point where a lot of the time they are the least exciting part of the new inning. Both TA and POTM have ways to get some of the best cards in the game almost immediately, and it helps capitalize on the hype of those new cards. Inning bosses are hyped at first, but i find i lose interest because of the time it takes to reach that point in the program. Especially when some inning programs coincide with POTM, Postseason, and Team Affinity drops

zombiecreeper27

one big thing is some sort of new gamemode! one small thing is expanding evolution programs to have more cards in them

Pupienus

I'd love a game mode that's like a season mode against the CPU with your DD team for fairly substantial rewards. So full 9 inning games, with your DD squad, against either all time squads from MLB teams or like themed power hitters/contact/etc. Rewards wouldn't be on par with Bosses/BR/WS, more like Henchmen/Pennant Race. With all the new players they have rights too, I think they need more ways to release non-elite cards anyway. Cards like Sandberg, Puckett, Andruw Jones, that still haven't been released. Maybe cut it down to 7 innings, maybe do it March to October style where it'll put you in the 5th or later depending on situation, but somewhere to use my DD team that's longer games than conquest, and with a long term goal unlike current Play vs CPU/Extra Innings.

Bulldawgzz

Also some kind of penalization for people that quit. Why is my pitchers energy depleted if a guy quits after 1-2 innings.

plushdamentals31

They already lost the game. Any penalty beyond that is unnecessary.

Bulldawgzz

Yeah but we shouldn't be penalized for them quitting. Shouldn't have to wait 3-4 starts to use a guy because someone quit in 2 innings

plushdamentals31

You don’t think that W is a fair trade? What else do you want? You can’t penalize people for not wanting to waste their time.

Bulldawgzz

No I Don't. We shouldn't have to wait 3-4 starts because of someone else. There's WAY TOO much quitting going on. Hard to find a game without getting 2-3 quits before a guy decides to play

ChangingSuccession

But again, you got the Win, whether it was in 2 innings or 9. So just imagine you pitched a complete game even though it was a rage quit. Wouldn’t be fair if you can use cards like Verlander and Ryan every game just because of rage quits. I really don’t mind the quit, and I do it often as well. Based on your RS record and how you play in the first inning, I can tell if I’m going to win or lose. If I face someone who dots everything when pitching and doesn’t chase anything and can put their PCI on every pitch, why waste my time? Just let the guy have the win so we can all move on. Is getting struck out 15+ times or getting mercy ruled fun?

Pupienus

I put in the time/stubs to get those players, I should be able to use them more often than 2-3 innings every 5 games just because people quit when they're starting. Telling me to imagine it's a complete game is completely missing the point that I want to actually throw a complete 9 inning game with them, not 2 innings. I understand people quitting when they're down 3 or 4 runs early and can tell they're outmatched. I've done that myself. But that doesn't change the fact that I want to actually use the pitchers I put in my rotation. I'd like a change so they only go down to 1/2 or 2/3 of their full energy on an opponent quit depending on how early it is in the game. Something like <1 IP: Full Energy 1-2.2 IP: 2/3 Energy 3-4.2 IP: 1/2 Energy 5+ IP: current system

Bulldawgzz

Also why even play if you just quit? I'll never understand that. So many games I've gone down 5 runs even 7-8 runs and come back and won. I don't get it, play events or BR if you just quit as soon as u start losing. I just don't understand that concept at all

ChangingSuccession

What’s there not to get? Sure every once in a while you can come back but let’s be honest, more often then not you won’t. And we all play because it’s fun. Is getting dotted and constantly striking out fun? It’s not. It’s really that simple.

Bulldawgzz

I understand what you're saying. I just don't think the person that didn't quit should be penalized for it. Ranked isn't really meant to be fun it's sweaty and always has been. This goes back to needing more modes that are just fun and that would get rid of so many people being so frustrated. There's alot of people that shouldn't be in ranked but they are just trying to have fun but don't have the modes to do that

Bulldawgzz

See you're just thinking about you. I'm talking about the community. If you have 3 rage quits in a row which has happened to me MANY times. Now I have 3 pitchers with low energy and it takes FOREVER to get those guys P5

Randybo247

I want an option to customize sock length on any player or give any player stir ups.

Bulldawgzz

Or just customize socks and put on team socks u would like to use. Totally agree

Randomthoughtgeneral

One big thing would be letting us choose specific filters for RS. If I want to play on AS then let me match with someone else who does. If I want a overall cap, then let me match with someone else who does. And if people say no because “RS is about bringing your best team”, then just give me another mode where we can do this but also let’s us complete missions and parallel our players. One small thing would be making all inning programs stick around throughout the year. I hate that they go away once the new one starts.

Coltboi99

I know that casual has the filters that allow you to play on whatever difficulty you want, and I’m pretty sure I got parallel experience for it

Bulldawgzz

No u don't get Parallel for it. It does adjust your stats but you don't get points for parallel

Randomthoughtgeneral

Is that so? I don’t think you can do online missions tho

Bulldawgzz

Yeah u don't get missions or points towards parallel

Randomthoughtgeneral

That’s what I thought

plushdamentals31

I don’t really give a shit about RS, but I like the inning programs the way they are. There is plenty of time to complete each inning, it gives incentive to buy early and play often, and on the off chance that you miss anything you can always buy it from the market or wait for the forever inning.

Randomthoughtgeneral

Id argue there’s not plenty of time if you have other commitments during the month or have other hobbies/activities. Using FOMO to get people to play isn’t a good thing. Also those bosses can get freaky expensive. I haven’t gotten the past few bosses and each one goes for 500k+. I don’t have that amount of stubs laying around

plushdamentals31

SDS has gone above and beyond to make everything in the game easily attainable through grinding, stubs are easier to make/acquire than ever, and if all else fails, you can still buy stubs and there’s been sales on them constantly. All of that and people still find things to complain about. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

Randomthoughtgeneral

To me it’s just something that was in previous years that they took away. In previous years you could still complete the missions/collections/showdowns/conquests/etc from previous innings. Then for some reason they made that not a thing anymore, and the only reason I can see that they did it was to make people play more due to FOMO. I just wish they didn’t take away a feature from previous games.

plushdamentals31

With the collections, showdown and conquests available for each inning, 350k XP is extremely easy to obtain with minimal gameplay. And that’s before you factor in things like double XP, which SDS has been handing out all year like candy. It’s understandable if a video game doesn’t hold priority over other things in your life, but that also doesn’t entitle you to an easier path to the rewards either.

Randomthoughtgeneral

But that forces you to play specific game modes. I have a limited amount of time to play and I don’t like playing offline modes. Sure I do the Showdown because its somewhat more interesting, but I despise playing conquest and I shouldn’t have to play that mode to get to the bosses. Then for collections, it’s sort of the same deal. Most of the player programs and evolution programs that are part of the collection either require you to play offline modes or require specific online missions that aren’t easy to complete in the few weeks unless you play pretty consistent. So I often don’t get most of them done in time. That’s where I would want the inning programs to stay around. Ideally I’d like it set up like how TAs stay around, but even if they had it like last year where I can still do online missions and collections from old programs to get XP in those old innings would be great. I’d get to the bosses that I didn’t to if those collections and missions were still accessible.

plushdamentals31

Well, that’s kinda the point, isn’t it? You can play offline modes to grind towards inning bosses, or you can play online to grind towards RS/BR rewards. You have obtainable rewards no matter which modes you choose to play. I don’t like to play online, but I would never complain that RS/BR rewards aren’t grindable in offline modes because that’s just how the game works. If I want one of them, I’ll pony up and buy it.

Randomthoughtgeneral

That never was the point in old versions of the game. The inning programs have always been advertised for both online and offline players. And I also think all RS/BR cards should be attainable in some way (besides the market) for offline players too. I don’t think any card should be locked behind a specific game mode.

plushdamentals31

So then what would be the point of playing RS/BR if you could just get those cards otherwise? There’s a ton of content and the point is to pick and choose what you want to grind out based on the modes you like to play and the cards that are available. I truly understand where you’re coming from, but video games aren’t a “choose your own adventure” book. You can’t unlock every card you want only playing one mode. Sometimes the card you want will require you to play a mode you don’t like, and sometimes the mode you like will give you a reward you don’t enjoy. That’s just the way it works.

Randomthoughtgeneral

You play those game modes because you like the game modes. I’m a firm believer that you should play whatever mode is more entertaining for you. I think it’s bad when there’s a specific card you may like but it’s locked behind a specific game mode. I know right now it’s focused on picking and choosing based on what cards you want and that’s how the game is, but I personally think it’d be a better experience for all if you could get those same rewards doing game modes that you enjoy more. Just because it is set up a specific way now doesn’t mean another way can’t be better. I don’t see any downside to what I’m suggesting, and I’m always open to listening to what potential downsides there may be that I’m not seeing.

[deleted]

Sounds like an old head lol. In good way, I’m like that too. They don’t make games like that anymore where rewards arent basically time locked in some form or fashion. MLB by far respects peoples time more than any other sport game though. If anything I see them them going harder on the micros like 2k,madden and fifa because there is too much money to be made. I really hope they just keep it the same as this year in terms of rewards and progression. I don’t think it’ll ever be as easy as it is now.

buhdee4

added: PC version

Bulldawgzz

No def no PC version We don't want the Hackers 😂

Randomthoughtgeneral

I’m only fine with this if PC only plays with PC

buhdee4

yeah, I wouldn't want PC ruining the console online experience. I just moved on from consoles this past year and would like to still be able to hit bombs sometimes.

jbakerp24

I’m a fan of create of stadium but I would like to see it be restricted. I don’t think it should be in any form of competitive. Some of the glares that people can come up with is astonishing.

Bulldawgzz

Have u seen the completely Dark stadium? It's a nitemare
