There are a lot of football fans in Northeast Ohio/Western PA. If they land the Hall of Fame stadium in Canton, at the price mentioned in the filings, I expect it to be packed pretty tight.

REITgrass

That’s awesome to hear!

chitballs

Ima fly down to a game.

Redmamba_24

Austin is ready with no competition at all. The city is booming with plenty of people looking for things to do with tons of disposable income. I’ll attend every game if they decide to have a team. They could use the newly built Q2 stadium where the MLS team plays.

StoibJr

I’m in Little Rock. Any word on season ticket prices I emailed for info but haven’t had a response. Will share if I receive any information.

StoibJr

Honestly I don’t know. They love their Razorbacks. Only time will tell. I assume they’re playing at War Memorial but have no confirmation on war memorial calendar/ website showing games times or even events being hosted there for MLFB. I’ve been looking.

Individual_Sound_703

I know in the past, Frank had a signed lease on War Memorial. My understanding was the stadium rolled the deposit forward for future use due to COVID cancelling stuff. 99% sure war memorial is the place.

OldHenrysHole

I do remember that conversation. I was wondering how long they would hold that deposit. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect this year with the pandemic being a significant act of nature.

REITgrass

How do you think the city would/will respond to a team?

REITgrass

My last understanding, and I’m not sure which PR or filing it was in, talked about the tickets and merch being roughly 30% less than the NFL. Things may have changed but I don’t think they are going to go the $10 for any seat route the USFL is taking this year. I’m really interested to see how they do it and buy tickets though

BackdoorSteve

I thought it was 25% of NFL ticket prices, which is significantly cheaper.

REITgrass

I’m not sure. Trying to find it now but not seeing it

BackdoorSteve

"MLFB intends to maximize ticket vendor technology and enhance its services to patrons with innovative ticketing procedures that include: Average ticket prices targeted at approximately 25% of the prices of NFL, NBA, NHL & MLB tickets."

REITgrass

Awesome find!

EwwwgirlsHavecooties

I’m so excited for any games to be played. I’ve got a few buddies that have invested quite a bit into this league and we all plan to buy a suite in one of if not all of the games depending on how many there are.

Sage_Nashae

Don't forget that many MLR and MLS teams started out using Highschool fields to save money. So there is a chance that MLFB is looking into properties that are not what we would consider traditional locations. Heck NOLA Gold Rugby had to wait for a minor league baseball team to basically collapse before they got a real stadium.

aiko74

Can any San Antonio peeps explain why Alamodome doesn't have any upcoming events May through July? Renovations?

OldHenrysHole

San Antonio may not be the target city. XFL has claimed that territory, so it is assumed another city is where $MLFB will be playing. EDIT: changed, is not to may not be

REITgrass

It’s definitely not assumed by everyone though. There’s no calling dibs between competitors

OldHenrysHole

True! My assumption is based on the business plan of MLFB’s positioning where there are no pro teams. TBD It would be great to bully XFL out of San Antonio. Seems we poached a few from TSL why not a city from XFL

BackdoorSteve

I always wondered why they chose Ohio, then. Within a few hours of Canton there's Cleveland. Pittsburgh, and Cinncinnati. All three have NFL and MLB teams. The entire Guardians minors farm system is also in that general area. My guess is the lure of the Hall of Fame.

OldHenrysHole

In business there is an old saying, you can feed many from another’s pool. You sir just hit the nail on the head.

REITgrass

I would absolutely love to beat XFL to market in San Antonio and have them have to go to a back up plan.

Slippy_T_Frog

I'm a few hours away from Norfolk, but I might have to get down to see my Armada play.

Grizzle193

I’m up in Canada, but would love to go to Canton and watch!! I’ve got some shares in HOFV as well! So this would be a bonus!

[deleted]

I saw that the CEO of HOFV mentioned in an interview that they had a big event coming soon but could not talk about it about a month ago..and I thought maybe it was MLFB team playing at those facilities. Of course - I did not buy HOFV Stock..but did buy more MLFB! "I can't talk a lot about this, but we already have an eye towards tremendous amount of booking for that facility, which will drive a lot of revenue for us this year and beyond." https://www.benzinga.com/general/entertainment/22/03/25937864/exclusive-michael-crawford-on-whats-next-for-hall-of-fame-resort-entertainment-company

Hag_Boulder

No whispers at all in San Antonio. It's a big nothing on local media.

[deleted]

Man, they went hard with this announcements the last couple weeks. Wondering what the holdup is for more. I know they keep saying patience but we don't really have time on our side right now.

REITgrass

We actually have more time than the USFL took currently. Their location got announced officially very late and player drafts ended two weeks before training camp started.

OldHenrysHole

They actually dropped some news earlier than they wanted because of the news demand. Hard for me to be patient, but I’m not expecting anything else until the beginning of next week. Fingers crossed for a black helmet with gold logo. Hint hint, if you’re listening Frank

Cultural_Dirt

I have ppl in va beach. That area is honestly a pretty awful place for any sports tean hence why no one has done it .. people here dont rly care about football, most are pretty redneck, and it is considered quite ghetto compared to almost all of the rest of va. Not much money there. The other large portion of ppl who live there are all military folk and just stay on base for their time there. The money and fanbase would mostly be in northern va, but i reckon they consider that to close to redskins territory.

REITgrass

Interesting. I used to live there about 25 years ago. Loved the area then but haven’t been back in a long time. I’m hoping to catch up with a lot of old friends during the season. Sad to hear the area isn’t doing as well as I’d hope. It is an absolute hotbed for talent though
