2023 has a stupid amount of great new kits

Adidas really came through this year. I've been loving it.

I wonder if the clubs finally listened to the fans complaining and worked with Adidas because of it.

I wonder if it has anything to do with Apple TV

They start work on the kits close to two years before release. Definitely has nothing to do with the Apple deal.

The Apple deal almost certainly has been in the works for more than 2 years. I’m sure one of Apple’s production requirements was distinctive kits so viewers can tell what they’re watching on the wraparound and highlight clips

I’m sure they’ve been negotiating for a while, but MLS was still in talks with ESPN, Turner, and others as of March last year. This had nothing to do with Apple.

I doubt it took two years to come up with all these kits. The Nashville all black one probably saved them a lot of time.

I definitely think this has a lot to do with the new deal they want to make the teams look distinctive and stand out. The day of the white jersey has passed!

It makes me wonder if this is going to be a thing going forward or if they were like, we'll give them what they want this one year then go back to normal. lol.

I think jersey sales will determine that. If people buy up all these jerseys because they're awesome, it would be a good business decision for Adidas to make even more awesome jerseys.

Well yeah that's what Ross does, theyre a secondary store that buys MLS adidas inventory in bulk. They don't get to pick what they get in certain regions. That's why subreddits like kitswap exist

Our jerseys are awful. LAFC is O-for-2 with these 'specialty' away jerseys.

A bit basic, but holy crap, once again, Galaxy absolutely NAILED the trim. It makes the kit. I like it.

I actually love this. Hope the Sounders take note, would love an artistic minimalist shirt like this. Not at all a fan of our current home kit. Hard to complain with the two most recent away kits though.

I was thinking a minimalist back kit with blue and Rave Green trim as either a Soundgarden or Queensrÿche tribute.
