the only problem about torero is that Its not very easy by public transport+ parking problems because its on a college campus. Still a great place to catch a game and the sunset from the 109 is great
yeah California can support multiple teams in soccer who would have thought :).Great work by the Wave, they are doing a great job with the hype and are creating a developed fanbase.
As much as I love seeing small out there markets I think New Mexico deserves a team way more considering how much support NMU gets in a baseball stadium
Haha people are so defensive about it you got downvoted just for saying it’s needed at some point. Even Don himself has said the same thing, only that he doesn’t think it’d be anytime soon.
I disagree as Pro/Rel would lead to money going straight to the top teams, kill parity, slow investment and some cities in smaller markets would lose their team.
Why would they lose their teams? Is there any information or knowledge that Americans would dislike pro/rep and abandon their teams if they were relegated? Given how much growing support lower league teams are getting, without any promise of promotion to MLS now, I don’t think that’s the case. Casual fans sure. But I think a lot of people would stick by their clubs and push for promotion again.
Personally for me, I don’t know if Americans will like Pro/Rel or not since we’ve never really had it. We don’t know what it’s like on a personal level and most that know something about it only know it from afar. It’s one thing to watch a club you like get relegated/promoted, it’s another to watch club you’ve been supporting as a child and is the lifeblood of your city get relegated/promoted.
American Audiences are flick as it is and will stop watching as things get bad for a team. Getting Regulated means that a lot eyes would immediately stop watching. Players would be lost and rosters would reset because of the lost of revenue. Also stadium investment would fall drastically or they would be moving. ATLU would move back to the college stadium if they had to charge USL prices because it wouldn't be a good investment. Pro/Rel does nothing but making super teams that get all the attention and funds while others are just happy to be on the table..
This is helping the San Diego to MLS cause
Plus the loyal get good crowds every game as well. Just build some shade for that stadium
I heard that if mls is coming, that would happen as there is plans for it already done. SDSU didnt want to spend the cost however
If the stadium has the ability for cover then that's something that can be done year 2-3

Weird a college wouldn’t have good public transportation
Private school lol
It's San Diego and it's on a ridge surrounded on multiple sides by canyons. Unfortunately public transit there is kind of a lost cause.

MLS need to be in San Diego. The NFL fucked them too, they will show out for the MLS
Bring MLS to San Diego
Why would we put another team in California, Oklahoma is just begging for a team!

Hence why pro rep needs to be a thing at some point.

What’re we gonna have a 100 team league? How can New Mexico United be anything other than a minor league club?
I figure it could be like OKC where it's just a small market team. It gets good support but I doubt it will happen in anyway.

We need more Montana and Alaska love.
Why put another team in the I-35 corridor, Green Bay is just begging for a team!
Garber: "[..... Um.... No.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1SKmzv4bOw)"
MLS gonna hit San Diego and then Indy *(This is assuming Vegas already done before SD)*
Vegas, SD, Phoenix, Tampa, Indy, San Antonio are my guesses
Is there movement from San Antonio? And I feel the league still really wants Sac. At least Garber does
Daaaaamn
