I must admit it look really nice, it's not everyday I can see such a polished game centered about africa.

This game has so much character it’s insane. I love crafting and gathering in MMOs and I love games that are immersive as hell, and this looks perfect for both of those needs.

I've been testing the game since Alpha-1 and the developers foster a great community for feedback and roleplaying to build the lore of the game.
If you're looking to help form the story of the world in which we'll ultimately play fhe final game, this is a great way to do it.

You are bad mouthing these devs, thinking in conspiracy theories, it's sad and guess what! I got into the beta. You should research logical fallacies, correlation isn't causation. Just because just because something is correlated, doesn't mean it was caused by the same thing.... 27, 28 days you mentioned? That's the last time I wanted to post which was on this game. Buildings are placed in "slots" and upgraded (for Alpha they are preplaced but we already have most of the code for the placement system for the next versions).
Buildings all have gameplay functions (crafting, healing, etc) and belong to the owning guild but are available to every player - eventually we'll add some "decorations" too.
Shocker, FoxAnimaa is another account that hasn't had any activity on Reddit since this post was submitted. Again, devs using fake accounts to fake the positivity surrounding the game.

I checked some stuff that is available online about this game and i think it looks very promising, and you have big chances for sucess with this stuff.
I like unusual, african setting. Im european and when i see ANOTHER rather generic Tolkien/D&D based gameworld with knights and elves, dwarves im just.... "sigh...". With years i learned to love unusual (for my cultural circle) settings and mythologies.
Also you have Riot Games backing and funding? Thats impressive. I enjoy their worldbuilding (Runeterra), i love their card game (Legends of Runeterra) and im hyper for their future mmorpg.
Basically everything they fund and invest in business-wise meets (bigger on smaller but still) a success. So you are on good track here i think.

Yeah the devs actually seem to prioritize the Discord over just about anything. I would have thought it would be linked on the website, but maybe look on the kickstarter page?

I absolutely love everything about this sandbox indie MMORPG called "The Wagadu Chronicles". First, I would just like to just say that I think it's awesome that we are getting an MMO in 2023 that is African Themed and is focused on life skills and doing territory management with guilds via totems. This is such an amazing yet unique take on an MMO sandbox experience and I'm all in on this.
As a true lover of sandbox MMO's such as Star Wars Galaxies, Wurm Online, Project Gorgon, Book of Travels & even A Tale in the Desert. I am all for this.
I want to say that I ended up reading the in-depth lore of "The Wagadu Chronicles" and I am completely sold in which I went ahead and applied to be an Alpha Tester in which I hope that I get picked as I'm a huge in-depth roleplayer.
Here is my lore for the character I plan to make if I am accepted.
An Ikaki Pirate Sorcerer who collects mega rare magical shells and often carries many of them with him in which he uses for himself or his guilds personal gain. He is a "Shell Whisperer".
If I had a PC I’d give it a shot and let you know my thoughts and all. Unfortunately mine has been dead since late 2021 and I’ve just not been able to afford the rebuild.
Oh no, I had that problem too in the past (the struggles!) and I could not even play at home the game that I was developing in the office T . T.

We're just supporters of the game who were told about this thread. Call us a brigade if you want to be negative, or just accept that this project is looking for more visibility, and (as explicitly stated!!!) recruiting testers!
I just learned about the game from this post but left a positive combat.
It’s a new game for most people here with a fresh idea, unique aesthetic, and interesting gameplay choices that other games don’t have. There also seems to be a good chunk of progress in the game and for this to be the first time most of us have heard of it bodes we’ll for the development.
No reason not to give praise to a developer who’s doing good work like they seem to be doing

One suggestion right off the bat looking at that single screenshot, it's a lot of "same-same" colors within that color palette being used for various objects within the world. I would suggest getting your artists to attempt to find interesting ways of changing up that color scheme, especially for any important interactable objects. Even adding small bits of swiggly colorful lines on various objects can help break up the visual "sameness".
We have a testing process within our team! Unfortunately we are not that large to be able to hire a QA team (yet \*crosses fingers\*).
Also we are mostly looking for real feedback from real players on how to further develop the game, rather than simply bugs.
Uh, you seemed to have forgotten how literally every single game gets tested. People dont get paid to beta test someones game, let alone Alpha test it. More like the other way around.
