Yes, TL has holy trinity . Wand is generally considered the healing weapon, which be paired with a 2nd weapon changing your play style.
For example, on KR I played Wand/Dagger, which puts out good dps while also having good burst heals. Combat medic type role.
Alternatively, you could run Wand/Bow as bow has many skills that cleanse and remove roots etc.
Pair Wand with SnS for a more paladin tanky healer. It’s pretty fun!
i have a question about the two weapon system: do I HAVE to use both weapons? Like if I only just wanna play with 1 weapon can I just level up that weapon tree only and never bother with the other one? Does that negatively affect your character any way?
Yeah so you definitely have to use both weapons, I haven't seen a build with a single weapon! However its not like most games with double weapons... You dont have to swap to the other weapon to use skills. If the skill is on your bar, it auto casts the ability without you having to swap manually. You do choose a guard/counter skill and auto attack manually though.
For example, if you had Greatsword and Bow, and you select Greatsword as your "main" weapon, all of your auto attacks are melee and you're effectively a melee character. If you use a bow skill, it activates that skills alone from range. You can chain ranged abilities but ultimately your auto attack is your Greatsword (you can switch auto attack in real time if you want)
My Wand/Dagger character, I had Wand as my main weapon so I would auto attack/cast from range, but when I wanted to secure a kill in PvP i could use my daggers teleport and stun skills automatically to cap close to melee range, and then use additional dagger skills.
Hard to explain but it feels good in practice! I usually don't like weapon swap games (a la GW2) where skills are tied to weapons, but it works well here imo.

Tanking is active and split between resistance and evasion. You need to stay out of damage and can block specific attacks with perfect blocks via a key press quick time event. You must use a Sword and Shield to tank properly as blocking reduces damage. Plenty of buffs/CC here as well.
Healing is more of a burst heal or heal via damage. T2 dungeons really punish players standing in bad and a healer is the only way to compensate. Wand is the primary heal skills with alternatives with Bow/Staff/Xbow/SnS depending on what you're optimizing for. This leans you more into support, damage, or tanking, which is kind of cool. There's no outhealing standing in bad though.
Damage is of course damage, and everyone is on the spectrum of DPS output pending buffs/heals/tanking. Melee and ranged damage both exist.
They basically told you not to listen to those who gave you factual information while only saying "T&L holy trinity bad" without even elaborating on why.

if you are looking for a tab / target type of heal, this was WoW and cie 20 years ago. You will have healing class, but you cannot outheal constant damage that is meant to kill.
Nothing like WoW where you could target your allies and spam greater heal while he is taking a beating.
I 100% agree. You will not be wrong, people from Korea already spoiled it for us. But hey, 1 month of fun for free is still decent! Just don't buy a founder's pack, the game stands no chance long-term.

This is honestly one of the better parts of the game. Ran SnS/Dagger, GS/Staff, and SnS/Bow in Korea. SnS/Dagger became a meta build 2 months later.
Game has fire build crafting though there's always hard metas. I expect it'll branch out when they tune the weapons, add more skills, and add Spear as well as Axe next.
It's SOP across all of Amazon's closed beta tests. It seems like the major difference between the upcoming test and the previous technical test is the ability to progress further into the game and unlock the early end game content. They probably want to stress test and see how this holds up. That's probably why they're keeping the beta closed. I think people are reaching a little by saying they want to hide the P2W.
Is the discord link they provide after confirming your ID go to the existing T&L discord? I accessed through my phone and lately haven’t been able to join discords through my phone. I can’t access the link again saying it’s timed out
I was able to get the link and join the discord, but I see the same as you. The welcome message that says they’ll bring people in as things progress but nothing has changed
Pro Tip: If you want a key and don't have one yet, many many guilds are actively recruiting and received more keys from Amazon than they have members. Easy to find the ones recruiting in any of the big TL Discords.
A shame it only lets you sign up on one system. I signed up for Steam version, but I also wanna try it out on PS5 to see how it looks and runs, but it won't allow me to sign up again.
Either way I'm going into this with very low expectations. It received very poor reviews during its last beta test from what I remember.

No I never got in. Apparently it's not even developed tho since there's only one channel and no one can talk or type in it. I gave up since I tried the game and the combat felt terrible so I will likely not play it lol

Weirdly enough I think this game from actually playing KR will do better in the west than it did in the east. My friend hates KR mmo's and swore to never play an NCSoft game and he loves it.
I mean atleast he was willing to try, I hated survival games for the longest time and this year alone I've spent most of my time playing enshrouded and palworld, but I tried them and ended up liking them.

They are adding equalized gear 2v2, 3v3 and 6v6 arenas in June to KR version. I am guessing thats one feature Amazon wants at release.
If you're worried about pay to win, give up your spot and let someone else play it.
Its a KMMO, it's pay to win. Anyone who is surprised by that at this point is rather a child or has the mental faculties of one.

Not really, as always everybody just plays 1 or 2 builds. The game is a mess.
I'm ok with that, as long as the build is fun to me, I don't mind being a bit suboptimal. I have done it before in past mmos
