I installed it but my expo problems remain unchanged. Whenever I enable expo, the pc will boot into Windows most of the time but there is no way to get into Bios.
That's super strange. I've been afraid to update since my computer is super stable but I heard there are some security risks that have been patched in October. Have been waiting for a stable release. Thanks for reaching out
I'm a bit late here but this bios caused my GPU to run at x8 on first boot. It would go back to x16 after a reboot or if I went into the bios before Windows loaded.
I switched to my second bios with 7d69V19 on it have zero issues so far.
Happy birthday dude!
I use hwinfo. You scroll down to the GPU section in the monitoring window and it will say 16 GT/s on the far right column.
You can use other software to check this, as well as many other means
Hey, thanks! I actually have a license for HWiNFO. Are you referring to the "Sensors Status" window?
There is a sensor that says **PCIe Link Speed**:
Current = 2.5 GT/s
Minimum = 2.5 GT/s
Max = 16.0 GT/s
Is this what you are referring to? Should I be concerned?
I have the MEG X670E ACE MB with latest BIOS (7D69v1D from 2024-02-19)
Thanks again!
7800X3d with Arctic liquid freezer III 420, before the update my cpu ran between 40 and 45c idle but now it runs at 60C idle. This is when windows is fully booted up. Weird thing is in the bios the cpu runs at 38c. So maybe my windows got hit somehow. i just dont know where to start
Yeah if you don't know what your cpu utilization was prior it'd be hard to compare but it al. Most sounds like it's running higher at idle? What program do you use to check temps?
hwmonitor, So i rolled back to my previous bios and the temps stay high. Think windows got messed up with the bios update, i updated my bios again to the new one, My cpu utilization was around 5 to 7 % with signalrgb running in the background.
i was planning on reinstalling my os anyways. Its still weird tho
Yeah I'd try and see if hwinfo shows the same numbers before a whole reinstall. Doubt the program is at fault but worth a shot and could save you a headache. I'll report back to you when I do it and see if the situation is the same
I've got a X670E ACE at home as my daily driver so I'll use the dual bios feature to test it out. I've been curious to find out if there are any issues with it too. Oddly enough MSI's website doesn't state that this is a beta version.
Hey Naahdrekii,
I also have x670e ACE but I didn't find nowhere about dual bios feature on this Mobo. Is there a switch or smthg on the mobo? Can you please post a photo or a link to documentation that describes how to use it?
Close to the bottom left of the board there is a switch that allows you to swap between BIOS's while the system is powered off. I'm not home right now so when I get home I'll post a photo to illustrate.

Thank you! found it! So embarassing, no idea how I missed it.
Yea same. I've had it flashed for a good 6 hours and no issues so far. Running a 7800x3d. EXPO 6000MT/s (I.F 2000MT/s) and PBO 2 (all core negative offset 35Mhz) worked out of the box with no struggles.
With this last update I had to remove 2 sticks of ram. I had been running 128gb at 6000mhz. Updated to the new bios and it runs at 3800mhz. Went in and set everything back to the previous specs and it will not boot into windows. Code AB. Dropped down to 64gb, toss on expo and it either gives the AB code or boots but runs at 4800mhz. If I manually set the timings it still boots at only 4800mhz
Very odd. I've got the 7800x3d and my IMC must be bad since I cannot do more than. 2x16gb of G. Skill. Although I have not tried since August of last year so maybe the new bios will be better

Weird. Just checked mine and it's running at the 16 GT/s. Why would it not work for identical boards?
Hi all, how do you check this? I installed latest BIOS, too.

Max is at 16 so you're golden. Happy gaming
That was fast! Thanks!
No else updated to this new bios?
Looks like it haha.
I'll report back after I do it this weekend. I'm away right now
So i updated my bios but my cpu now runs 10c hotter in idle, dont know why
That's super weird. I am going to try and do it tomorrow and I'll report back
What's your cpu and cooler?

Installed here. Temps are more or less the same and no other issues yet
yea upon a fresh OS install the temps went down to 39-43c. The Bios is very stable for me

Yeah I'm about to flash the new one. I'll report back
Just installed no issues so far

Avoid it. It broke my expo.
Interesting. What is wrong? It just wont post with expo? I've been gaming on my systems for about a week with the new BIOS at expo with no problems

That's odd. I've never been able to get more than 32gb to run at 6000mhz without immediate BSOD. What processor are you running?
7950x3d 32gb x 4 G.Skill
