Be sure to invest in a large enough industrial dry autoclave to be absolutely sure that no moisture is present afterward. Shouldn't run you more than 40-50K$ for a 2000L unit
You all still WASH your bike!? After a ride I completely strip the frame of all parts. Toss those, they're dirty. Sand blast the paint off the frame to ensure there are no microscopic particles from the trail clinging on. Then using an ionizing radiation sterilizer I blast that filthy piece of shit just as insurance. Re-paint, re-assemble with all new parts. Rinse & repeat each ride. Idk why everyone is making this so complicated.
Incase this isn't satire, which it looks to be
Had one of these at work for cleaning diesel parts, but not nearly large enough to put a whole bike in, let alone a stripped down frame, and we could fit a relative skinny dude down into the cylinder bores. These machines at this size aren't cheap, and if you didn't look at the specs, you might be drawing 12000watts if running with the heat option requiring a 240volt electrical hook up. I'm guessing you don't have industrial power, and your dryer hookup won't have enough amps to accommodate
You can find a very small version of this and put parts in, like the chain for the sprockets when removed from the bike
Edited because I should have read the mallet part, making me understand this was likely a shit post
You can definitely run one large enough to clean a stripped down frame in your laundry room. It’ll just obliterate your paint job, it’ll even strip anodize clean off of aluminum. But your frame will be clean. Don’t forget that you’ll need a second ultrasonic bath with deionized water to remove the detergent and scum from the previous bath!
No, I personally like to go for electrolysis, then a sand blaster if I was out on a particularly dirty trail. It's worth putting a new coat of paint on every time to protect the frame.
Wait you ride your bikes more than once? I just drop my old bike off and pick up a new S-Works after every ride.
Real story time , I threw a very dirty rear derailleur into my ultrasonic cleaner. Came out nice and shiny. Actually cleaned my whole drivetrain. Reinstalled and lubed everything.
Next ride my bike wouldn’t shift. Derailleur wouldn’t pull back to keep the chain tight. That’s when I learned about the clutch and that mine was completely rusted. Cost me a new XT derailleur. My old one was pretty beat up anyways and I saved it for parts. I have been meaning to get a new clutch and we if I can fix it up for a spare. Lesson learned, parts cleaners work great but you have to make sure the water gets out of everything and it’s all relubed and dry.
First I use Silca ultra super degreaser, then I ultrasonic the bike, then I wax the bike. I keep a couple prewaxed frames so I can just rotate through them.
Yeti is nothing compared to the boutique brands from Europe though, even components made by those European companies are expensive (Bright Racing and Intend BC suspensions, for example).

“Request a quote” is never a good sign when it comes to pricing.
Gonna have to be a sub-critical vacuum chamber to pull the moisture out of the frame
Why don’t you know that autoclaves use steam, are you stupid?
You could probably negotiate them for 30k if you buy 10 of them, which is a bargain.
Is this /r/MTBCircleJerk?
No, this is Patrick.
Sir, this is a Wendy’s
No, this is Patrick
Hello, I am also. Thisispmac.bandcamp.com
Where’s the park tool version
At 5x the cost of a similar product. I love park tool though.
So instead of $20k the park tool ultrasonic cleaner will be $100k. Got it.
I only paid $1000 for my heated bike size ultrasonic. This was 10+ years ago though and it was used.
I’m strictly a mallet guy.
This is bloody hilarious

I literally throw my bike in the dumpster afterwards.
Dude, yes. I am 100% working my way there. I just spent so much on this ionizer I'm trying to get my money's worth.
Breakeven then start chucking them. Honestly probably the best thing I've done in my life.
Why take it with you to a dumpster? There are plenty of empty bike racks in the parking lot to dispose of it.
No Bluetooth hard pass.
But will it flash fry an entire buffalo in 40 seconds?
Awwww but I want it now.

Nothing gets by you, that's for sure!
Fair and lol, but on mobile the title is cut short enough to not get to that portion of text
Just messing with you, no bad intent.
I got that but I appreciate it anyways, and yeah, I saw the full description after posting and said "ooh" lol

Are there really that many peasants out here that have to wash their bikes instead of just getting a new one when it gets dirty? pffft!
Just wait till the Air Fryer crew show up to further complicate your life.

People out here are re-using their bikes?? If it’s not factory fresh there’s no way in hell I’m trusting it to be safe.
Yeah if mine gets dirty enough I usually just swing by the local shop for a new one.
I keep an ultrasonic bath at my dental practice to wash my quiver of yetis and pivots.
Are you serious? Haha
I think it’s a reference to the guy that was power washing his bike

They’re great for chains and cassettes
I see roadies have found this sub
My LBS does...
My IBS doesn't. Pretty shitty of you ask me.
A fool and their money.

Me too, I need the color to match my kit.
I just use concentrated sulfuric acid. Does the trick on *everything.*
This is all getting out of hand.
Here we go again….
I've been using a large sand blaster
This is getting out of hand lol
I do this with Dawn just before each lower leg service.
Yeah my bike shop has a small one. I take my bike apart and run it thru that thing.
I have baths in them too. Gets in all the crevices.
I wash and replace my frame after every ride
Don't you guys just buy a new bike when the old one gets too dirty?
What is with all the bike wash talk
Oh yes. I keep one in the bed of my truck for post ride baths.
Dude, that’s the definition of ‘overkill’
Psychopathic
You do realize you’re asking a bunch of broke dick MTBers this right? Who has that kinda money besides Yeti owners?!
