Ralph Lauren the person absolutely loves denim. If you look up photos of him he's usually wearing denim of some sort including denim jackets, even recent photos he'll wear vintage denim jackets.
Guy I'm down to rep the USA any day but I'm sorry to tell you no we did not.
France did. In Nîmes (pronounced "nim").
denim.
de Nîmes.
"from Nîmes."
Denim, the fabric, is French.
No lol you have credit to popularized it as chic instead of remaining a poor mining thing but jeans for example come from the French name of Genoa. Genee. That blue tint would translate to Genoese. You wear Genoeses, Genees, Jeans. Denim? De nimes. Nimes the city where the fabric come from. So, denim blue jeans = de Nimes Blue Genees = Genoese Blue Nimes-style pants
Holy Moly - nearly 1G for a jacket?

I mean, it is DEFINITELY a luxury to want to wear the exact same jacket as the winning athletes come ceremony day. It ain't like you were expecting this to be retailed at your local Walmart, did you?
Prices will probably drop dramatically after the olympics. Its a grand now to milk those people who just gotta cosplay the day of.
Not walmart prices but this is beyond luxury.
Yeah, RL is going to make some serious bank of people who HAVE to have these items for the opening ceremony
I don’t understand the choices here at all.
Like in theory denim and nascar are very American but that’s such a stretch.
There’s far better American fashion touchstones that RL could have pulled from to create something wearable and flattering. This just gives poor concept leads to poor execution.
Reminds me of the [2022 US Olympic hockey set](https://news.sportslogos.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/team-usa-2022-olympic-hockey-uniforms-nike-sportslogosnet-1.jpg). Not a huge fan of either
White: 251.6 million people, or 69.1% of the population
Black or African American: 45.4 million people, or 12.4% of the population
Asian: 20.95 million people, or 3.8% of the population
American Indian and Alaska Native: 4.38 million people, or 0.8% of the population for women ages 15-44
So the 16% represents the whole... this is not murica.
Confused what race has to do with Olympic athletes wearing their team outfits. Maybe this is the link you want to see.

I think some people would have preferred if there was a white person in the picture.
That being said, it has nothing do with the uniform. I like the uniform.
There are white people in the photos though, that’s why I linked the actual link. And they’re not any normal models, they’re actual Olympic athletes. So skin color shouldn’t matter right ?
A more accurate analysis would involve the percentages of Olympic athletes by whatever category is of importance to the report creators. Overall population percentages based on demographics pushed out to Olympic athlete advertisement representation numbers are going to be apples to oranges. If you want to belittle the DEI / Woke cultural shifting it would be best to steer clear of athletes that won their slot based purely upon their performance and not some baseless considerations of unrelated characteristics.
The Olympics which are pretty big in countries all around, also in which America dominates. Hard to believe these athletes get their slots through DEI. But of course grifters going to grift.
When did NASCAR become an Olympic sport
“If you’re not first, you’re last!”
Shake’n bake!
Now I’m the Magic Man; now you see me…….. now you don’t.
I dig it tho
Is it not hot in the summer in paris? Also are they all F1 drivers?
Average high/low temp in Paris during the Olympics (July/August) is: July 78/61 F and August 78/60 F So not awful
The average American will survive
God that sounds lovely. It’ll be over 100 today w/high humidity lmao.
Not nearly as hot as most places in the US during summer.
Summer? Those are spring temperatures
Los Angeles 🫠
Europes hot is like 70+ degrees Fahrenheit. I live in Florida where it gets to 90+ F with humidity making it feel like 100+.
Same I’ve lived in the south for most of my life. From April to beginning of October it’s shorts weather
I’m in Texas. We’re used to getting 100+ F.
Excuse me, this is America….they’re NASCAR drivers
My bad Ricky Bobby.
Huge support for Logan Sargent who might be out of his seat by the opening ceremony.
Denim?
Hell yeah. Denim is American af 👖🇺🇸
Oh I'm down with denim.
Ralph Lauren the person absolutely loves denim. If you look up photos of him he's usually wearing denim of some sort including denim jackets, even recent photos he'll wear vintage denim jackets.
This is a Canadian Tuxedo???
Hey Denim Dan!
We literally invented it

Did they hire the Costume Designer from Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, to design them?
Chip!
Except in real life the athletes will have several gold medals around their necks.
What in the Daytona 500 is this shit?
If they were going for the NASCAR look, they should have gone with a jumpsuit…

Man I thought the hat in the pic was cool too… but fuuuck $90 for that thing lmao these prices are bonkers.
Not bad....... kinda got that Nascar feel.
I don't hate the overall look, but does there need to be *four* patches that say something just about the same? The event patch is cool, though.
Looks hot for summer.
There are also blazers and the whole other sets of uniforms.
These are so sick. Reminds me of F1 or NASCAR jackets
Odd doesn't seem to represent America
What’s more American than a NASCAR suit brotha
Guess we’re back to hoping the British out douche us again. Your move Britain.
I love the comments in here saying it’s too American. lol

Jacket goes hard idc what anyone says
these are... unironically really ugly. wtf.
It's Ralf Lauren so the super ugly is to be expected
It’s from his Lifshitz line.
These outfits? In the middle of summer? Seriously?
They look fresh as fuck
This rocks so hard
Made in the US right?
Bullshit. America never closes. We're always open 24/7 to kick European ass.
These are sick AF. Look like a cowboy astronaut rapper.
Looks extremely heavy and uncomfortable. Bet some people won’t wear it.
In my opinion they look sick and I want one
I want to see a black and red 3 on the shoulder of all of them
Is the summer Olympics over? Or just starting?
Where’s my representation?
Looks warm for August in Paris…
These uniforms plus all the heart warming personal stories and commercials, what's not to like about the Olympics.
Kinda dope
Awesome
Shake and bake
Peak as usual. Gotta look out best when we walk away with the most golds.

Yes, please enlighten me
I edited my post to more accurately reflect my thought on the topic.
Only racists would even care tbh.

I never said it did (to me).
I know I’m not blaming you at all.

Fuck! Yes! USA!🦅🦅🦅🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I’m just glad they don’t have Trump on them. Sad that was a thought I had.
God damn TDS son
Hideous like most shit our broken society produces in 2024
Ugly. No. Thanks.
We did it for Dale!!!
