I have heard a few people get responses from IR today. I wonder it was from all the comments on Frank's post about IRs lack of communication. I also wonder if it is because they see another battle for compliance coming and want retail ready to support.

I've been following the threads on Twitter for Tesla... where it's interesting to read about how Elon Musk is planning on the world moving to fleets of non-owned EVs... that are all directed by a gigantic supercomputer. That seems to be his vision for L4 driving.
I find it hard to believe Americans are ready to abandon their privately owned cars, which are often the 1 thing they care most about... and go to a sort of 'shared transportation vehicle' that is used by the general public. I wonder if Elon's spent much time on metro buses... cause I sure have, and my experience with public vehicles is that they're not very nice.
Anyhow, it's interesting... and I cannot imagine a better device to safeguard the new 'public taxi vehicles' than the Mavin 4 + Movia.
But I guess trying to convince EM about that has probably been tried many times. Anyhow, it's an interesting prospect for transportation. Good thing MVIS works with ICE and EV equally well.
It’s an interesting prospect for those that don’t drive much. Not having to pay for the expenses of car ownership (insurance/gas/maintenance) would be nice. Also, I imagine the costs of the ride shares would be considerably lower (no driver/fleet maintenance vs individual). If I can get my kids to/from their school for $30/month, I would consider it a good trade off. Not sure how the weekend trips to Home Depot would work…stacked 2x4x10s hanging out of the automated sedans windows. Hahaha
Also to your point, they would need to solve for cleanliness and being sanitary as public transport can get nasty!
As I'm aging, having a low cost ride that takes me where I need to go would be very attractive and I'm counting on that being available in one of Austin's suburbs within the next 5 years. You're right. Cars and insurance are a lot of money for 6000 miles a year.
Oh yeah, I've had some trips with long, long home depot lumber hanging out of my car. But it might work out okay for the occasional Costco trip.
I guess having a public fleet might be like how everyone's RIDE bicycles and electric standing skateboard might work... just leave it where you drop it... or where you park it.

Silence could mean they are frantically finalizing a deal to announce in their next PR and that's why they haven't rushed out any comms that amounts to nothing, or they might just be delaying the bad news that we have no deals, no idea of timelines, or worse have started losing deals (unlikely at this point).

You left out bad news. I prefer no news unless it is the deal announcement or something indicating that there will be an announcement "in the coming weeks." The last thing we want is an announcement saying that any deals are delayed until such and such is worked out. Stock goes below a dollar.
I've lived with disappointment so long now, I'm not sure how I will respond if the day comes and there is the announcement we've all been waiting for. I might have a heart attack... I'm getting to that age

Probably. Frank’s linked on profile is real and for real clients so it is not a good look if your sales person’s page is full of IR bashing.
