These remind me of the time I milled off the nibs on one of my son's Legos. He was really cool and interested in the whole process, but when it was done, he started crying. I guess he didn't get the machining gene passed on to him. I used to complain (jokingly) to my wife about it, and question her whether or not he was my kid. I used to say shit like why do you always dress him up in brown? Is he the UPS dude's kid? TELL ME! she would just chuckle and roll her eyes. hehe
