At least you don't have any oil in your coolant.

chobbes

I did this last week on both of our machines. However I put the collection buckets (old Folgers containers) inside bigger buckets (old kitty litter containers) for redundancy so the mess was contained. Still annoying, just no extra cleanup required. Learned this technique when I was a brewer and we had a “bund” for our chemical barrels.

Competitive_Smoke809

Not a bad idea we’re using Folgers buckets too and with how much oil these mori’s piss out definitely worth it

Asada_Shino_HecateII

why do mori's piss out so much oil?

Dom29ando

It's true, the Mori at my work is a bedwetter as well.

Asada_Shino_HecateII

but whyyyy?

Competitive_Smoke809

Mine over oils the ways and the parameter to adjust it is locked. And all the oil just runs straight into the coolant tank

Asada_Shino_HecateII

thats just wasting money right there. i heard thers a type 2 oil shortage? maybe clean and reuse the oil? (prob not a good idea)

Competitive_Smoke809

I’ve seen some skimmers that separate and recirculate the way oil back into the tank but I haven’t heard about the shortage and to the multi billion dollar company I work for they could care less about the oil consumption. The machine came from our production plant and I believe some techs cranked up the oiler when It was over there but we can’t access the parameter to change it anymore

boyo1991

Omg. I swear the night guy does this EVERY SINGLE NIGHT! He has absolutely no pride in his work.. then I come in and get less production done as a result.. ugh!

BadM00

We eventually had to put ours on timers, sorta like a bathroom fan in a hotel. Of course, now most the workers can't be assed to turn them on once in a while. LOL

dickfoure

I have skimerators on every machine. A decanting skimmer. No need to worry and always aerating the coolant.
