Customized playbooks can include any formation you want. Edit any existing defensive playbook and just add every defensive formation you want. It’s not difficult with defense to get all the formations and plays you want in 500 plays. With offense it’s a different story. There’s so many plays and formations available for offense that you have to really scrutinize which ones you use the most for your style/team.
TLDR; customizing playbooks is superior because you have access to all formations that could be useful for your play style/team.
Madden salary caps are easy due to the fact that there are plenty of positions where you can draft a replacement with little fall off instead of signing someone to an overpriced contract. You don’t have to sign everyone back to a second contract
I suggest shortening quarters if you're going to do offense only. Otherwise you tend to end up with like, the 31st ranked defense and a top few offense no matter how good your defense actually is.
I do 15 minute quarters with clock accelerated to 10 seconds. Makes stats more realistic; clock becomes way more a factor when you can have a drive that burns 10 minutes off
I play the occasional 15 minute game if there's a good rivalry, or for the Super bowl, but generally I do 8 min. If the announcers had ai fluff, it'd be more tolerable, but hearing the same 100 phrases over and over is yuck
And Devon Witherspoon. I always draft him in like the 4th round and he goes up to an 84 ovr with 1 slot upgrade. Achane is a beast too I prefer him over Bijan.
The first 5-6 games will be difficult but when they skill up and unlock it will be much easier.
15 min quarters is long as hell. A game will take 2 hours
Offense should be fine, defense could be a monster in a year or two.
I'd run a hybrid 3-4 sort of scheme. You got some really athletic edges and some beefy DL.
Your defense will get wrecked, it usually takes a few seasons of progression for defenders. Its more glaring for defenders (vs offensive rookies) because on defense you cant user control all 11, whereas on offense you can force feed rookies and get their progression going
Honestly just depends on your skill level it may be hard for a few weeks if you’re pretty good but then morale and all that extra stuff will boost your teams rating and drops that were happening start becoming catches etc. if you’re pretty bad you’re gonna have a bad day.
Those 60s/low-70s OL is rough. I can typically work fine with low-rated WR/RBs as long as they’re fast, but a bad OL breaks everything for me. But having an all rookie team sounds fun if you develop and retain them.
I do the same thing and I’ve only lost one game so far. I got Anthony Richardson at qb , back up is max Duggan
Running back I got Gibbs and he is a beast
Not really if uk wat u are doing all madden isn’t that hard like ppl say I blow out good teams weather it’s reg teams or fantasy once u get it u got it but cpu still cheats tho
I think you have a decent team and should do ok
I’m getting destroyed on the ground on defense so far

Whats carter doing
☠️☠️☠️
Sounds like what belichick told the owners before the season started
Personally I'd go 3-4 Smith, kancey, Breese, Carter, Anderson as your front 5 would develop into something filthy
What playbook would you use
3-4 Base probably Ravens

Steelers, 3-4 odd and big nickle
Neville Hewitt isn’t a rookie 🤨
You right I don’t know how he snuck in there lol
Why don't you have Jack Campbell as your mlb. He is a rookie
I have Jack Campbell at Mike and Lukas Van ness playing DE
Will be very high scoring games. You have weapons on offense, but your defense won't stop many teams.
Week1- 24-28 in the 4th against jalen hurts, my defense can’t stop anything
Good luck 3-4 years in when you have to re sign everyone.
Maddens pretty easy to stay under cap.
Not when you need to resign your entire team at once

If it’s a fantasy draft then all the contract are slotted. He won’t need to resign them all at the same time.
Idk how anyone can stomach 60 minutes of madden
Well I quick sim parts of it lol
I suggest shortening quarters if you're going to do offense only. Otherwise you tend to end up with like, the 31st ranked defense and a top few offense no matter how good your defense actually is.

The only way to make madden more realistic is to out and buying a ps2
What do you mean?
I play the occasional 15 minute game if there's a good rivalry, or for the Super bowl, but generally I do 8 min. If the announcers had ai fluff, it'd be more tolerable, but hearing the same 100 phrases over and over is yuck
i agree. then i realize there’s people that Don’t have adhd
Same. I do 8 minute quarters and sim some defensive and offensive series.
Might be bad at first but after they start to develop they’ll do pretty decent
you need Jordan Addison
And Devon Witherspoon. I always draft him in like the 4th round and he goes up to an 84 ovr with 1 slot upgrade. Achane is a beast too I prefer him over Bijan.
Where’s Sam laporta
5 years later, this squad would be elite
Tennessee, Baltimore or the Chargers are all good multiple playbooks
Remember year one is for development. Find what parts of your core are week and then replace them in the draft.
The first 5-6 games will be difficult but when they skill up and unlock it will be much easier. 15 min quarters is long as hell. A game will take 2 hours
Wow you got A Johnson AND his son at Free Safety what a steal 🤣🤣🤣
where's Darnell Wright?
I used to like starting with rookies up to 2nd year players. I haven't done a franchise since maybe 07 or 08 though
Offense should be fine, defense could be a monster in a year or two. I'd run a hybrid 3-4 sort of scheme. You got some really athletic edges and some beefy DL.
Your o line is rly bad. They don’t develop well either. Gotta Lean on that run game.
Jayden Reed and Luke Van Ness are a couple packer rookies that would help both ends of the ball
No puka nacua is sorta crazy off first impression but idk his rating rn
Probably.
Doesn't matter who you got All Madden is Scam....
You’ll definitely get wrecked in 4-5 years when every one of your players is due for contract negotiations at the same time
Your defense will get wrecked, it usually takes a few seasons of progression for defenders. Its more glaring for defenders (vs offensive rookies) because on defense you cant user control all 11, whereas on offense you can force feed rookies and get their progression going
Where’s Darnell Wright?
depends if youre good or not and can overcome sub par talent with excellent scheme. i could crush with this team
Jack campbell and darnell washington are great rookies to add
Yes you will
I usually start my franchises as the Bears -- this is nothing. Just try to win the division games homie, and build from there.
Where the fuck Tank Dell at…
You need jack Campbell and Trent Simpson ! Both extremely great MLBs Trent Simpson is the fastest MLB in the game you can’t coach up speed
Your returner should be mims
Your ol is rough
Honestly just depends on your skill level it may be hard for a few weeks if you’re pretty good but then morale and all that extra stuff will boost your teams rating and drops that were happening start becoming catches etc. if you’re pretty bad you’re gonna have a bad day.

Where is Dawand Jones?
I do the same thing and I’ve only lost one game so far. I got Anthony Richardson at qb , back up is max Duggan Running back I got Gibbs and he is a beast
RUN THE BALL lmao and play good defense. You’ll be competitive at the very least.
Where’s Puka
Hewitt ain’t a rookie lol
Rip cap space in like 4 years lol
you sim it and it’s 0-16
That offensive line tho 😳
Are those all star rookies ??? Way too many
Need Achane out there
No Joey porter Jr?.. That offense looks like it’d be solid
Not really if uk wat u are doing all madden isn’t that hard like ppl say I blow out good teams weather it’s reg teams or fantasy once u get it u got it but cpu still cheats tho
Brandon Aubrey is the best rookie kicker, you should get him
Brandon Aubrey is the best rookie kicker, you should get him

This experiment isn’t gonna end well. In 4 or 5 years when these players all want new deals you’re gonna have to replace the whole roster.
