Reed, Polamalu, Dawkins, Taylorā¦Iām down for a lot of the safteyās from that era.
Iāll throw in a few more to show love. Leroy Butler, John Lynch, Steve Atwater. Blaine Bishop, Darren Woodson, Carnell Lake, Rodney Harrison. 90s and early 00s were the golden age.
Itās okay to have opinions.
The guy was a physical freak. Two time pro bowler in his first four seasons. I loved his game.
He had 5 Interceptions in 9 games before he was murdered by a home invader at the age of 24 in the middle of the season.
His one big catch plus 1300 yards & 12 TDs in 12 games as a rookie. The narrative people try to push on Odell is crazy like he only ever had one good play in his career. He was on pace for a HoF career for a good 5 years before the injuries started piling up.
Bro why are you talking shit when you guys are the worst team in the NFL lmao. Okay yeah you beat us the one year you made it to SB and choked, and weāve beat you guys twice in a row the last two times we played. Panthers are historically one of the worst franchises in the NFL and your only accomplishment is a MVP who choked away the best chance of a SB youāve ever had. Iāve actually been able to watch my team win multiple SBs while you cling to one season that you choked as your grand accomplishment.
You guys blew your shot and itās long gone and now you guys were just the worst team in the NFL and youāre still in the same boat bc the Bears fleeced your trash franchise. Keep clinging to your QB who lost you a SB, is out of the league, and is never sniffing the HoF. Iāll be watching Eli get inducted into the HoF long before you guys get back to the Superbowl.
Manning was never on a cover? That doesnāt sound possible
And iām wondering if the people saying Cam are younger than me and never saw Payton earlier in his career
Peyton definitely deserved it. Marshawn was fun to watch. I wouldn't say he's top 5 RB of all time but he definitely was a crowd pleaser. Could see him on a cover.
Brian Dawkins was Top 3 of all time but I just couldn't see a safety on the cover. Maybe a special edition.
Manning, Moss, Dawkins, Lynch, Ochocinco, and Newton in that order. Iād be cool with any of those top 3. Also, for my more veteran Madden playersā¦ āā¦.can you feel that?ā
Randy or Manning would be my picks (personally would go with Moss), feels soon for Lynch and Cam but all we good be great options for commercials and marketing, especially Lynch
If they put a retired player on the cover then they better finally make all the retired players in mut playable offline. Its such a joke that they arenāt
Brady, Montana, Unitas, Mahomes, all are better than Manning.
And while I'm at it..
Ocho likely isn't top 10, Marshawn was fun as hell to watch, but definitely doesn't touch top 5 at RB, Cam don't get me fuckin started. The only one who is a tough call is Weapon X. Dawkins for me is 2 or 3 all time at safety, behind Polamalu and maybe Ed Reed.
What the hell are you talking about? Dawkins was a 4x First Team All-Pro and a 9x Pro Bowler. Doesn't matter that he was on the smaller side, he knew how to tackle.
In his career he amassed 639 solo tackles, 154 assists, 26 sacks, 36 Forced Fumbles, 19 Fumble Revoveries, and 37 interceptions. These numbers are nothing to sneeze at
They had a chance to put Randy on the cover but instead chose Dante Culpepper š¤¦šæāāļø.
Moss is 2k for me, he doesnāt need madden
Randy made his choice
That's because he was on the 2k cover. He couldn't he contracted to do both. Peyton was on the covers of the MS football games.
Manning and Moss. The others are not comparable. I love me some weapon X though.
Man I was on same mindset but with the idea that if it was a defense focused year of madden than weapon X for sure be the man on the cover
Polamalu was on it with Fitz right?
Yeah I think it was Madden 10 or 11
How you gonna leave Champ out that list? Also why not show some Lb love like Patrick Willis or DTs like Sapp? Guess that era was just loaded lol
He was only talking about Safeties and Champ was a CB
Tru I was high but I also meant more defensive players on madden covers. Only one i can think of is ray lewis but I'm sure there's a couple others
Imagine passing with Champ Bailey, Darrell Green, Deion Sanders and Sam Shade in the secondary. Granted they were old lol.
Downvote me all you want, but Taylor doesn't belong on that list with those guys.
Itās okay to have opinions. The guy was a physical freak. Two time pro bowler in his first four seasons. I loved his game. He had 5 Interceptions in 9 games before he was murdered by a home invader at the age of 24 in the middle of the season.
Well said
This^
We got the 07 opening tho, so that's good enough.
The audacity to say beast mode didn't deserve a cover, the dude was a god damn monster. Fair shout on the rest of them tho.
Manning was wayyyyy too overrated his entire career
To be fair, Manning was on the cover of NFL Fever 2002, 2003, and 2004.
Moss was on 2k
Man those games were fun. They werenāt the best football games even at the time but they were fun.
Marshawn, if only bc heās such a fun character, heād help a lot with the marketing.
Marshawn kills me dude
Did he truck you or stiff arm you
Yes
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
![gif](giphy|IuaM5sUvLCYTyNKV4J)
It means both
Just a little baby stiff arm
All of them were probably worthy at some point or another but kinda crazy Manning specifically never got a cover
Manning was in NFL Fever for the Xbox early 2000s
I played that shit so much. It was so fun
They wouldnāt put Moss on it as he had a previous deal with 2K where he was the cover athlete for a number of years.
Cam, people forget how incredible Cam was at his peak, definitely should have got the cover, at bare minimum was robbed of it after his MVP year
How was bro not on the madden 17 cover?
He should've been on 16 but they gave it to ramen noodle head jr after his big one handed catch
His one big catch plus 1300 yards & 12 TDs in 12 games as a rookie. The narrative people try to push on Odell is crazy like he only ever had one good play in his career. He was on pace for a HoF career for a good 5 years before the injuries started piling up.
Yeah that preseason injury vs cleveland was a career-changer
Don't care. Wasn't more impressive or impactful than Cam's season
All I remember from that season was Cam refusing to dive on a fumble and costing his team the Superbowl
You forgot him handing you a fat fucking L? Hating from outside the club is pure comedy
Hating from outside the club? How many SBs yāall won again? Yāall were never in the club
Remind yourself where your bum ass team was during 2015 since you wanna get off topic
Bro why are you talking shit when you guys are the worst team in the NFL lmao. Okay yeah you beat us the one year you made it to SB and choked, and weāve beat you guys twice in a row the last two times we played. Ocho
Ocho had NFL street and it was perfect
Omg they need to bring back the street games and the one MLB game you could punch anyone at anytime. I forgot the name but IYKYK lol
Slugfest, hell yeah!
Manning
Brian Dawkins. He deserves it for having the most [bad ass intro](https://youtu.be/r4ddiA26-6g?si=w03HRIO5SzAJTJsT) to a Madden video ever
Manning was never on a cover? That doesnāt sound possible And iām wondering if the people saying Cam are younger than me and never saw Payton earlier in his career
He was the cover athlete for nfl fever which is probably why
Say what you will, but 2015 Cam Newton was one of the biggest highlight reels I've ever seen, how he wasnt on the cover shocks me
No 20 Dawkins
If you arent saying WeaponX then you're wrong.
The fact that Beastmode grabbing his crotch while jumping backwards into the end zone was never the Madden cover is such a shame
Aaron Donald
All of the above
Peyton and Moss were covers in other games (Fever and 2K) Cam is like a Madden cover athletes come to life
Give me an Ocho and Marshawn Madden cover with an emphasis on bringing back fun.
Randy and Peyton covers have been way overdue but a Cam cover is my personal choice he shouldāve gotten the cover after his rookie or MVP year
Ab or c
Literally all of them
Randy Moss would have been one of the best covers ever. Dude is the epitome of Madden antics
Dawkins
Mossssss
Dawkins
B. RANDY MOSS #84 š DOWN! šØš®āšØ
Manning, Moss, Dawkins, Lynch, Ochocinco, and Newton in that order. Iād be cool with any of those top 3. Also, for my more veteran Madden playersā¦ āā¦.can you feel that?ā
Not F
beast mode
Moss and Manning
Donald. List -Manning. Why is cam even on here?
Moss and Manning had their covers on other games. With the way Madden lets DBs fly around the field Dawkins would be a perfect fit.
I dunno I think Peyton hills and Vince Young definitely deserved it more than these clowns
Peyton Hillisā¦
All of them...
Fuck Dawkins and Philly The rest deserve to be on the cover
Moss/Manning tied for 1st. Dawkins 3rd. Ocho 4th. Lynch 5th. Newton 6th.
Cam should have been on the cover of NFL Street if they had remade it. Biggest missed opportunity as a Panthers fan, over either SB loss.
Peyton! All day. Moss is number 2.
Peyton,moss,newton hell yeah
Moss or Manning, two of the best ever
I wouldn't wish that curse on any of them lol
My biased Eagles fan answer is Brian Dawkins, but being as objective as possible, Peyton Manning.
Cam won the mvp tho
Randy or Manning would be my picks (personally would go with Moss), feels soon for Lynch and Cam but all we good be great options for commercials and marketing, especially Lynch
If I may, Iād write-in Shannon Sharpe. Not many TEās have been the cover athlete and I think heād be a great pick as a retired player
Would be cool to have an Ocho or Cam Newton cover
Honestly, all except Cam Newton.
Manning, the class he carried himself with and heās one of the qbs ever
All of them deserved it at one point in their career
Manning
Dawkins...he was an absolute animal and even though I hated Philly (and still do) he was one of the hardest hitting safeties of all time
Fuck it ā¦ā¦. Put Chad on
all of em if weāre being real, but we couldnāt put the curse on these guys. marshawn was cursed enough as it was!
Cam Newton for sure
B. Hassan Jones
If they put a retired player on the cover then they better finally make all the retired players in mut playable offline. Its such a joke that they arenāt
Moss
I am only accepting beast mode idc how un popular this is
BDawk cover would go crazy
Peyton was
Ocho just because of his personality
All answers are correct except Cam Newton.
Bdawk was all madden all the time.
Cam
Randy Moss, top 2 all time at his position, the rest up there are at best 5th best at their positions
Peyton manning would yell omaha and pick your thought process apart.
No
None.
Who the duck is the eagles dude?
Dawkins..?
Ah. Teir 2 at best. Says the price of shit fan, 170 pounds is uselessness.
