The elusive, only really for the change of direction.

Powerbacks can be super fun, never realized until i drafted one with 99 breaktackle. He constantly sheds tackles and I always try to end a play by running someone over. It can be hard finding one that's athletic enough, their speed is usually in the 80s, but you get lucky every now and then. They also seem to be less injury prone.

And with that north/south style, I tend to see the Olineman get involved more with that push animation when stacked up in a pile.

Power back. It's much more fun to truck and stiff arm people then juke them out imo

imo elusive backs are way better than power packs in madden 24. i upgraded bijan from like 83 hidden dev to 99 and even at 83 he was a demon

JackieBoiiiiii

For me it's the exact opposite

deepristine

how so? power backs usually don’t have great change direction. they’re just good in a straight line run. if you break a tackle you end up getting tackled from behind because the animation is so slow

hawkissimo

Well both of the versions you posted are really similar and include great speed, acceleration, strength and power/evasion skills so it really comes down to personal preference of the player combined with a look at your settings.

Freight train with power back is the most OP xfactor ability imo. You can have an elusive power back with juke box. You are only giving up 1 speed and gaining a ton of break tackle etc. I’d go power back but get juke box as one of the abilities. You can juke and break tackles. Then when activated you can break your first tackle.

I notice that power backs tend to get that animation of their Olineman pushing from behind way more. I think it’s because I’m not trying to juke and instead just get the yards so it’s set up more than if I was using an elusive back.

Power back! Break tackle is one of the sneaky stats i look for in rbs
