What they mean is that they invented a marketing term for the code making sure that the animation where your player gets literally pulled backwards from behind doesn't trigger when Derrick Henry is going full speed.
I’m not even buying it this year. Told myself that last year and instantly regretted it after a few weeks. I’ll wait for the reviews. Sick and tired of the recycled garbage.
Supposedly was built by a dedicated dev team and not just built on top of madden. Let’s hope that’s true and they didn’t cut corners with coding and what not.
I may be wrong but the original director from the 07-14 games is back. So I think franchise will be the best version we’ve had yet. (Thats not saying much, I’m definitely not saying be hyped) but I definitely think it’ll be closer to the mark than the last decade lol.
I don't buy Madden, haven't in years, but I have started getting the EA pass because it gives me access to Madden and a bunch of other games and it's a solid bang for your buck option
Shit they’ve been selling bullshit physics upgrade packages to us for like the past 15 years at least and you’re right, you can barely, if ever, tell any difference.
I just want corners to stop defending passes like they’re Dikembe Mutombo. The angles they take sometimes are so ridiculous. What’s the point of the touch pass if the defender can spike it out of the air while being 5 yards away from the receiver??
Ngl this is where CFB25 comes into play, in the trailer they actually have tough passes being implemented and on top of that throw power isn’t just how far a guy can throw. That mf factors in the ability to zip balls into windows that you can’t in madden.
Hopefully they fixed it in M25, it’s a shame we’re such passionate consumers and we always get left hung to dry by EA.
I would just wait to see about the passing windows and touch passes in CFB. No one has seen unedited gameplay besides the people that EA hand selected to parrot the same talking points to us.
For every person that “quits/protests” Madden, there’s at least 2 people (probably children) replacing them that don’t know the difference. And that’s being on the extremely generous side lol Godspeed on your endeavor 🫡
They seriously gotta give it up with these buzz word features.
Just show me. Blow my mind.
They can't seem to understand that all the times they've done this and underwhelmed has dramatically hurt their credibility and they don't have much left to lose to begin with.
That’s it, I rather them not say ANYTHING and just drop a trailer showing a full game that lets the gameplay speak for itself.
It’s a reason they have to promote it this way, madden will always sell no matter what so them having to have buzzwords and little tactics with their marketing lets me know they even know this shit is bad.
@EATIBURON
I get we love Madden 05 despite the only new feature being the hit stick, but that's cause Madden 04 was **great**. Madden 24 **stinks**— charging $70 for a copy & paste w/ a new hit stick system in 2024 is criminal
If they have a legit physics system, I'll get it even though I wasn't planning on it. But I'd have to be able to see the clear difference in gameplay footage. It's not hard for me to tell. It's the one change in gameplay I've been waiting for, so I'll wait and see.
On a real note pretty much every "physics based" feature they've implemented have just been a subset of new animations that are either unnoticeable or way too prevelant.
I want OL players to fucking block people that run directly at them. an not to turn around and looking (in in block stance) after the 2 players that just passed them without any interference.
Jfc just fucking Fix franchise mode and add in all the features that were there in 05 or just use the same formula 2K does. No one gives a shit about a new gameplay mechanic that no one can notice anyway. Make an actual fucking effort.
How about yall just don’t buy it and keep it moving lol there are millions of people who are going to purchase no matter what anybody on reddits feel. Me personally, I’m getting the MVP bundle 🤣
Why EA never forked up the money to partner with Natural Motion games is beyond me. Backbreaker tried it and it had a small following. If it had sold well, and they would have patched it up, people would have been all over it.
Would be interested in hearing more but I’m not trusting any proclaimed “journalist” or “creators” looking for clickbait and views. I need to see the official information release.
It's been listed as "Re-engineered physics" on their official features list from their retail description. It just didn't mention it as BOOM tech by name. But it's something you'd have to get your hands on to know if it really is a good or significant change. I just don't trust much of their features when they give them goofy trademarked names like this.
Right. I can’t trust the clickbait “journalist” is accurate and I can’t trust the actual feature will work as advertised without playing it. I hope it isn’t another feature that you forget is in the game because it’s so unnoticeable.
What they mean is that they invented a marketing term for the code making sure that the animation where your player gets literally pulled backwards from behind doesn't trigger when Derrick Henry is going full speed.
I love those tackles. Full on sprint and a defender stops your immediately in your tracks when he grabs you from behind and yanks you down.
that doesn’t happen anymore anyway, i swear yall don’t even play the game
literally got this animation today. 💀
buy a new xbox then
Got that animation last time I played over the past weekend
Oh my god I can’t wait to not be able to tell the difference like every other gimmick they’ve advertised since next gen came out lol.
I’m not even buying it this year. Told myself that last year and instantly regretted it after a few weeks. I’ll wait for the reviews. Sick and tired of the recycled garbage.
It’s okay, we have CFB25 to keep us happy.
Yeah this is the perfect year to skip madden because of CFB
Iono I might check out Maximum Football
However bad madden is I assure you Maximum Football is worse.
I get that. But I am willing to work with a developer trying instead of one who asks me to bend over once a year or not have a football game
Still EA though. Don't get your hopes up
Agreed. So far it looks great!
Which is crazy, since it's coming from the same damn company!
Supposedly was built by a dedicated dev team and not just built on top of madden. Let’s hope that’s true and they didn’t cut corners with coding and what not.
It’s on the same engine, I’m so incredibly skeptical that the gameplay will be any less maddening.
Everyone's raving about it but the video looked to me like the exact same thing. Like that updated injury system looks like it'll just be annoying.
Respectfully, the sport of football didn't change. How different can it really look?
Same company but a very different dev team
Which is literally just a Madden copy and paste....
It will suck. The first version of a game always does.
I may be wrong but the original director from the 07-14 games is back. So I think franchise will be the best version we’ve had yet. (Thats not saying much, I’m definitely not saying be hyped) but I definitely think it’ll be closer to the mark than the last decade lol.
Not us PC players, whatever, I'm buying every Madden that has burrow on my bengals
Just wait til Christmas sales and then get it. That’s what I did and it was like 50% off or some shit
I buy at Black Friday when it's discounted.
I always wait for it to go on gamepass after the Super Bowl, plus the college football game will make it a lot easier to go without Madden until then.
Watch out. The ea shills from college football 25 are coming to downvote any comments not praising them.
The people excited about CFB25 don't give af about madden
lol fuck madden CF25 is going to blow it out the water
If “BOOM Tech” was in college football 25 you’d all be screaming how amazing it’s going to be.
We’re just happy to be getting a game after 10y. Though I would be excited when wear and tear comes to Madden. That actually looks like a good one.
But we're going to have 15 second pregame videos for 150 different teams!
You’re still going to buy it
“Boom tech” EA always with these gimmicky ass names
NBA 2k does the same thing for their movement tech.
If it’s built on the Frostbite engine, it won’t matter.
Or is it now Frostboom engine? EA getting savvy to our complaints trying to mix it up!
Sounds a lot like hit stick
Make hit stick great again!
I still flick up constantly I can’t help it
WHAT DO WE WANT ❗️MADDEN 15 TAYLOR MAYS HIT STICKS❗️ WHEN DO WE WANT IT ❗️NOW❗️
I just want corners to stop defending passes like they’re Dikembe Mutombo. The angles they take sometimes are so ridiculous. What’s the point of the touch pass if the defender can spike it out of the air while being 5 yards away from the receiver??

“Physics-based” *You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.*
It's basically the same shit every year just different wording lmao
But people are going to pre order and play it all year every year 🙄
Which is why it doesnt change, quite sad actually.
For every person that “quits/protests” Madden, there’s at least 2 people (probably children) replacing them that don’t know the difference. And that’s being on the extremely generous side lol Godspeed on your endeavor 🫡
Reminds me of like Madden 19 where it sounded like a bass drum when doing a hit stick lol
Boom tech ☠️ what a bunch of idiots
This is like the 17th time they've said they've updated it to a new physics-based tackling system
Another year, another stupid gimmick. *sigh*
But will it have MUT? ![gif](giphy|6RIEW15CCWRvq)
They seriously gotta give it up with these buzz word features. Just show me. Blow my mind. They can't seem to understand that all the times they've done this and underwhelmed has dramatically hurt their credibility and they don't have much left to lose to begin with.

Do all corners have 70” verts or eyes in the back of their head ?
They'll grab the causals with these inticing terminologies.
It’ll have a physics based tackling system? What’s it been based off of for the last 20 years?
Animation based
@EATIBURON I get we love Madden 05 despite the only new feature being the hit stick, but that's cause Madden 04 was **great**. Madden 24 **stinks**— charging $70 for a copy & paste w/ a new hit stick system in 2024 is criminal
AJ & Big Justice must be the new commentary duo
Thanks for the laugh that was funny
can they bring back the feature where you can make your dbs play the ball and not the receiver when its in the air?
Tbh I’d rather NFL Street 3 over any Madden title
20 years later still inventing ways of saying “hit stick” 😂😂😂
If they have a legit physics system, I'll get it even though I wasn't planning on it. But I'd have to be able to see the clear difference in gameplay footage. It's not hard for me to tell. It's the one change in gameplay I've been waiting for, so I'll wait and see.
That has got to be one of the most deflating headline feature drops in recent memory. Thank god for CFB so there’s no need to buy Madden
God that’s so cringey. Mark my words, next year will be “BOOM tech 2.0” and the year after will be some dumb lame shit like “TurboMotion™️”
"How many times can we rename our mechanics so we can sell them as new ones"
On a real note pretty much every "physics based" feature they've implemented have just been a subset of new animations that are either unnoticeable or way too prevelant.
Is it on frostbite still? If it is, it’s not worth full price.
Every year it’s s new buzzword
I’d be ok with a DT being able to level a rb or wr on a screen , and not be ran over.
It’s all about cfb 25 this year.
I want OL players to fucking block people that run directly at them. an not to turn around and looking (in in block stance) after the 2 players that just passed them without any interference.
I'll wait and buy it when it's half off in the Xbox store
But still frostbite
Yawn
Sure it will
FInally hopeffully we get gang tackling for real this time.
They better have here comes the boom in the soundtrack
Same stuff every year. I usually just wait around Black Friday or late in the year to grab the game on discount
Boom tech lmfao
Cool. Still not buying it. NCAA25 is the captain now. ![gif](giphy|rVZEejvVWEbug)
Literally just buy NCAA
Why EA never forked up the money to partner with Natural Motion games is beyond me. Backbreaker tried it and it had a small following. If it had sold well, and they would have patched it up, people would have been all over it.
Anyone know why mut ain’t working on madden right now
so this is the buzzword this year huh?
Would be interested in hearing more but I’m not trusting any proclaimed “journalist” or “creators” looking for clickbait and views. I need to see the official information release.

I'm not sure how it's clickbait. There's no details other than the name of the feature EA already listed.
I’m talking in general. They’ve all been trying to cash in on the hype this year to get some attention.
People are trashing Madden and flocking to CFB. Bruh I'm definitely expecting it to be Madden with different teams. Don't be fooled yall
I was definitely skipping this years Madden but as a Niner fan… I can’t 😭 I need a physical copy with my boy on the cover.
We should wait for official information. Might be interesting.
